“Yes, a bit.” Qing Teng didn’t tell a lie; she didn’t sleep on her bed, instead she had fallen asleep leaning against the window. Sitting like that for a long ti would naturally cause stiffness. It was more or less the sa as sleeping in a wrong position.
“Co here, let give you a massage.” Nangong Beiying felt bad seeing her in such discomfort.
“Yes, please.” Qing Teng wished soone would help her out – the discomfort was unbearable. She was glad that there was soone who could help at hand.
“You didn’t sleep on your bed last night, did you.” As soon as Nangong Beiying touched her neck, she knew what had happened. She had experienced similar situations on her missions, so she could easily recognize Qing Teng’s symptoms.
“Last night, I fell asleep while sitting and thinking.” Qing Teng didn’t deny.
“You should take better care of your health. Otherwise, no one can take responsibility for it.” Nangong Beiying reminded her, not in a lecturing manner, but emphasizing that she should take better care of herself as no one could do it on her behalf.
“I know, madam. After we finish lunch, let’s get to work. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can return to the Imperial Capital.” Thinking of what happened last night, Qing Teng decided to leave; she didn’t want to cause any more trouble by staying, for others as well as herself.
“Ok.” Nangong Beiying had no idea what happened last night, but she had no problem with Qing Teng’s proposal of returning to the Imperial Capital earlier since she missed that man.
“Ladies, your al is ready. Please co and eat.” The Nanny ca over and inford them with a smile.
“Sure, thank you, Nanny.” Qin Xue stood up and headed to the dining room.
“Thank you, Nanny.” The other people, although they didn’t have the sa status as Qin Xue, also thanked the Nanny for her service. It is basic etiquette to show gratitude.
“All good children. Go ahead, get your al and then you can go about your business.” The happiest thing in the Nanny’s life was taking care of Qing Teng. Having such a lovely young lady was the biggest blessing in her life.
If Qin Xue knew what the Nanny was thinking, she would be disgusted and think: What era is this? How can people still think like this?
“Ladies, we’ve prepared the outside area. You can start right after the al.” Early in the morning, Cloud, Thunder, and Rain had set up the tables and chairs that Qin Xue and the others would need.
