“There might really be. Elder, have you gone inside?” Qin Xue looked at the huge mountain cave, and the clear water in the pool was so green and chilling to look at.
Just by the color of the water, you could tell it was unfathomably deep. If soone fell into it, they likely wouldn’t be able to climb out.
The water was too cold. Falling in would cause leg cramps. No matter how good one’s swimming skills are, when the legs cramp, drowning is likely. “Be careful, Xue’er, what are you thinking about?” Qin Xue was pulled back from her drifting thoughts by a startled cry.
“What is it?” Qin Xue looked blankly at Chu Molin. Had she done sothing?
“Look where you’re standing,” Chu Molin said, still filled with fear, holding her and letting her see where she had wandered.
“How did this happen?” Qin Xue saw her feet were at the edge of the pool, just one small step and she would have fallen into it.
“What were you thinking? Do you know this is very dangerous?” Chu Molin, after calming down, couldn’t help but scold her.
“I was just thinking about so past mories, I didn’t even realize how I got here. Fortunately, you’re here. I don’t dare to imagine what the consequences would have been otherwise. That was really close,” Qin Xue admitted, surprised at how she ended up at the edge.
It was truly dangerous, especially looking at that eerie green pool. It felt like a big mouth waiting to swallow her. Although it was a ridiculous thought, she couldn’t shake the feeling. It was really eerie.
“Be more careful in the future, don’t get distracted. I was able to catch you once, but I can’t always be conveniently by your side. Don’t scare like this again, okay?” Chu Molin didn’t care if others were around. He was genuinely scared by Qin Xue, and his heart was still pounding.
“I’m sorry, it won’t happen again. I promise to be more attentive and not get distracted again,” Qin Xue comforted him patiently, knowing she had given Chu Molin quite a scare this ti.
“Mm, I just want you to be safe. I don’t care about anything else,” Chu Molin whispered, his heart filled with Qin Xue. If she were gone, he didn’t know what he might do.
