“Alright, let’s stop arguing about this here. Let’s assess the situation first.” Silver Wolf feared that if they continued quarrelling, they could end up getting discovered, which would be much worse.
“Who’s arguing with you? It’s your fault for suddenly showing up and ruining my plan.” Thinking about it made Qing Zhu feel even more justified in her anger.
“Alright, woman. I’m sorry, okay? It was my mistake. But right now, our goals are the sa. Can we work together to rescue the child first and deal with everything else afterward?” Silver Wolf decided this wasn’t the ti to reason with her, so he conceded.
There was no point in arguing further. The mission was to rescue the child first. Anything else could wait.
