“But, big brother…” Big Head glanced at Tall Guy. Although Tall Guy often helped them with things, he treated them all very well. Otherwise, Big Head wouldn’t have called him big brother. But now, upon seeing him about to fight Chu Molin, he truly didn’t want to see them clash like this.
“Don’t worry about it. My dad knows what he’s doing,” Yu Ze looked at Tall Guy. Though Tall Guy was as honest as Big Head, he wasn’t inherently bad. If Tall Guy were willing, Yu Ze might even take him as one of his own—but that would depend on the outco of the confrontation.
Big Head heard what Yu Ze said, then looked at Tall Guy again. He wasn’t sure what to do. On one side was a child he didn’t want to harm; on the other side was a big brother who had always been kind to him. He was torn.
“Big Head, step aside. I’ll be fine.” Tall Guy naturally understood Big Head’s thoughts. Unexpectedly, even at this mont, Big Head was still standing on his side—truly an acknowledgnt of Tall Guy’s goodwill toward him.
“Big Brother, do you really have to fight? Can’t we just avoid it?” Big Head didn’t want him to get hurt; he could tell that Tall Guy wasn’t Chu Molin’s match.
“Yes, we have to fight.” Tall Guy was now fired up, eager to see what kind of skills this man possessed.
“Well, be careful then.” Big Head had always obeyed Tall Guy’s orders.
“Let’s begin.” Tall Guy stared at Chu Molin.
“You go first.” Chu Molin wasn’t trying to show off his skill; he simply knew that Tall Guy wasn’t his match. However, Chu Molin also noticed that Tall Guy wasn’t unreasonable, which is why he chose to give him the chance to strike first.
“Ha, you…” Tall Guy, to his disbelief, was defeated the mont he made his move. Was this man human or a ghost?
How did he possess such terrifying skills? Swift, precise, and ruthless—just a couple of moves and Tall Guy was completely subdued. Though he was unwilling to admit it, he had undeniably lost.
“Do you yield? Now I’m going to ask you a few questions. Answer honestly. Whose orders are you under? Why are you here? How do you know Silver Wolf has connections to ? Who sent you to capture my son?” Chu Molin released him, then crouched in front of Tall Guy, asking in a calm tone. It was as if the victor wasn’t him at all.
“To the victor, the spoils; to the loser, disgrace—kill or torture , do as you please.” Tall Guy was quite the brave and loyal man, speaking with an air of defiant pride.
“Pfft, do you think this is a TV show? Or that we’re gangsters? Spouting things like ‘to the victor, the spoils; to the loser, disgrace!’ If you hadn’t provoked us in the first place, who would know which random cat or dog you’re supposed to be?” Qin Xue couldn’t help but laugh at Tall Guy’s dramatic words.
With their caliber, did they truly think of themselves as gangsters—or perhaps as ancient army generals?
“You can kill , but you cannot insult .” Tall Guy glared at Qin Xue in anger and frustration.
“You’re mistaken; I haven’t insulted you.” Qin Xue retorted. When had she ever said anything insulting to him?
“Then what did you an by your words?” Tall Guy couldn’t believe that after all she’d said, she still denied it.
“Nothing much. I genuinely don’t even know who you people are. You ca after on your own accord, so now you’ll just have to face the consequences yourselves.” Qin Xue was briefly playful, but as her words ended, her entire deanor shifted drastically.
The air suddenly grew oppressive. Tall Guy felt as though he was suffocating beneath her presence. Who exactly was this woman? Why did she possess such an overwhelming aura? Just what sort of people had he crossed paths with?
