Chapter 1736: Chapter 1730: A Family of Three
“No, how could I bear to? I still want to grow old together with you,” Chu Molin was considering whether to retire and return ho.
“You’re serving up sweetness first thing in the morning—so sweet it’s deadly.” Qin Xue reached out and tugged at the corner of his mouth, making him look like he was smiling.
“I want to devour you.” Chu Molin leaned down and whispered softly into her ear.
“Go to hell!” Qin Xue’s face turned red. Flirting with her first thing in the morning—didn’t he realize it wasn’t just n who were off-limits for teasing in the mornings; won shouldn’t be teased either?
“Would you really bear to let die?” Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue seriously.
“Of course not. You have to stay perfectly fine, always.” Qin Xue solemnly responded to his question.
“Alright, I know what to do now. Go wash up and get ready for breakfast. I saw that Mom has already prepared everything.” Chu Molin reached out and patted her head softly, urging her to quickly brush her teeth and wash her face. Otherwise, the whole family would end up waiting just for her.
“Mm, alright.” Qin Xue had no idea what he ant by “I know what to do now,” but she didn’t press further. Everyone deserved a bit of privacy—asking too deep might not be good.
“Mom, thank you for your hard work.” When Qin Xue walked into the kitchen, sure enough, her mother had already prepared breakfast. How early did she have to get up to make such a big spread?
Luckily, her family was no longer like before. Otherwise, she’d always worry about how her mother constantly stressed over what to cook.
“It’s no trouble at all. Did you wash up yet?” Nangong Shulan looked at her daughter and asked.
“I did.” There was a well in the yard, and Qin Xue typically washed with cold water there.
“Then help bring the food over. Once breakfast’s done, whether you want to play or stay ho is up to you.” Nangong Shulan didn’t insist on them going out or anything.
After all, it was rare for her daughter to visit ho. She should let her spend the day however she wanted.
“Mm, okay.” Qin Xue hadn’t decided what to do yet, but visiting Qin Su’e was definitely on her list. There were so matters she’d decided to resolve once and for all.
Previously, she’d thought Qin Su’e would learn her lesson after the last incident. But who would have thought she hadn’t—she’d even set her sights on her son this ti. Uncles may endure, but aunts cannot. This ti, Qin Su’e had touched her most sensitive nerve, and Qin Xue was incensed.
Qin Su’e hadn’t anticipated just how relentless Qin Xue would be this ti. It truly scared her. She had never seen this side of Qin Xue before. Turns out, when pushed too far, even a bunny bites. Of course, that’s a story for later—we’ll co back to it.
“Qin Xue, what are you up to?” Qing Zhu and Silver Wolf entered, seeing her crouched down fiddling with sothing.
“Nothing much. I haven’t had breakfast yet, so I’m just finding sothing to do to pass the ti. Why are you two here together?” Qin Xue pointed at Qing Zhu, then at Silver Wolf.
“We bumped into each other on the way. He said he was coming over too, so we just ended up walking over one after the other.” Qing Zhu explained. She’d gotten her little girl ready first thing in the morning before sorting herself out. Who would have thought, after taking just a few steps outside, she’d see the man coming toward Qin Xue’s place too? So, they coincidentally arrived together.
“Is it really that simple?” Qin Xue sniffed out sothing unusual.
“It really is that simple. What else could there be?” Qing Zhu shot Qin Xue a look, noticing her gossip-loving expression. Was she overthinking this?
“Nothing. It’s just that the way you guys look—it’s almost like a family of three. Since you can’t rember your past, why not consider him?” Qin Xue directly raised the suggestion in front of both of them.
She could tell Ye Xuan had feelings for Qing Zhu, but Qing Zhu’s own thoughts on the matter remained a mystery.
“What are you trying to do, act as a matchmaker?” Qing Zhu felt a little embarrassed. Being openly “promoted” like this right in front of soone—it was honestly mortifying.
The problem was, she hadn’t said she wanted anything to happen with this man. That was what made her truly awkward.
