Chapter 1746: Chapter 1740: Encounter on the Road

It turned out that Chu Molin saw Qin Xue as she was leaving. He noticed her unusual expression, and since she left without telling anyone, he felt uneasy and decided to follow her.

He saw Qin Xue had just walked away, and shortly after, that woman nad Qin Su’e followed her. Because he was afraid that the crazy Qin Su’e might hurt Qin Xue, he decided to stay close behind them.

At the sa ti, he wanted to see what was going on between the two of them, but he didn’t want Qin Xue to realize he was following her, so he hid in the shadows.

What he didn’t expect was how much Qin Xue’s skills had improved. She could manipulate a person’s thoughts with just a few silver needles.

What would happen if others found out about her abilities? Just thinking about this made cold sweat break out over Chu Molin’s body. No, he couldn’t let anyone discover Qin Xue’s talent.

As he walked, Chu Molin pondered how best to protect her. Having a wife with remarkable abilities was also a source of concern.

Chu Molin felt that sotis a person’s extraordinary skills could attract constant attention. A person like her would face countless dangers because too many people would want to possess her. To prevent anyone from harming his wife, he knew he had to make so decisions. At this mont, Chu Molin solidified the idea in his heart. Loss always precedes gain, and he believed it was worth it.

Chu Molin was quick on his feet, and since he took another route back, he arrived ho just before Qin Xue.

“Xue’er, where did you go?” Chu Molin asked as he watched Qin Xue walking in after him.

“It’s nothing, just had a few things to take care of outside. Why do you ask?” Qin Xue didn’t understand why Chu Molin was asking her this. She hadn’t been out for long, had she?

“It’s nothing. I just didn’t see you and thought you might’ve gone off sowhere to have fun,” Chu Molin said, sizing up Qin Xue but refraining from ntioning what had just occurred.

“Did Grandpa and Grandma go back?” Qin Xue asked.

“No, they’re still inside. I ca out to check on you and saw you coming back from outside.” Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue, feeling a newfound sense of crisis over her abilities. While he was proud of how exceptional she was, it also ant more complications would inevitably follow.

“It’s nothing, don’t worry. Let’s go inside.” Qin Xue walked forward and tugged at Chu Molin’s hand.

“Alright.” Chu Molin smiled faintly.

On the other side, Qin Su’e kept muttering to herself about needing to explain everything—everything must be explained. Those who saw her thought she was completely mad.

anwhile, chaos had erupted in her forr husband’s household. When he woke up early in the morning, he couldn’t move, which scared his widowed wife half to death.

The family scrambled to load him into a car and rushed to the hospital. On the way, they crossed paths with Qin Su’e, whose mind was now consud by one thought—turning herself in.

She failed to notice that what she sought had already materialized right in front of her. If she did, she would’ve jumped for joy.

But fate is often peculiar. All Qin Su’e could think about now, due to Qin Xue’s influence, was surrendering to the authorities, so she didn’t notice the man passing by her—the very man she’d been desperate to kill.

Likewise, her ex-husband’s family hurriedly rushing to the hospital didn’t stop to pay much attention to the deranged woman on the road, who was, in fact, the reason he was now paralyzed. Otherwise, there surely would’ve been a confrontation right there.

It really was like a tale of eternal neses. Nobody expected the relationship of two people that had once been fine to deteriorate into such chaos. In the end, the truth ca to light with Qin Su’e’s surrender.

Still, no one could really be blad. A man who treats his wife as nothing but a tool for making money—who drives a normal woman to the brink and turns her into a prostitute—is nothing but a waste of air and resources in this world.
