Chapter 1763: Chapter 1757: Being Laughed At
“Why are you standing there? Hurry up and sit down; we’ve been waiting for you to co back so we can eat.” Nangong Shulan said, carrying the dishes to the table and looking at them.
Originally, she was waiting for her son and youngest daughter, but with these four extra people, she was thankful she prepared extra food in case it wouldn’t be enough. Otherwise, they really might’ve run out.
“Thank you, Auntie.” The group smiled sheepishly. They felt like their timing wasn’t great. Although they got to et their idol, weren’t there just too many people? It all felt so awkward.
“Aunt, are you and these beautiful ladies going to cook sothing delicious again?” Yu Ze saw their embarrassnt and took the initiative to break the awkwardness.
“Yu Ze, what delicious food would you like to eat?” Xu Shaoqin felt grateful to Yu Ze. Next ti, they’d need to get their facts straight—no more rushing into things like this.
“Whatever you make, we’ll eat.” Yu Ze wasn’t picky. He wasn’t really there for the food anyhow; he only said that to ease the situation. So, he didn’t care what they made.
“Alright, then we’ll make sothing for you later.” Qin Jiale chid in. These classmates had co to hang out with her, and since they liked her ho, there was no way she could let them down.
“Sure, sure! Perfect timing! Mom and Godmother are at ho, and they’re great cooks. You can learn a thing or two from them!” Cohen eagerly added.
“Hey, are you saying you’re not happy eating the food I make? Fine, don’t eat it later, then.” Qin Jiale pretended to be angry at Cohen. This little rascal—why did he have to hit her where it hurt? Even if what he said was true, she couldn’t help but feel heartbroken.
“Haha, Aunt, are you a glass heart?” Yu Ze looked at Qin Jiale and blurted out suddenly.
“Pfft, cough cough.”
“Yu Ze, eat properly!” Nangong Beiying almost choked, and Qin Xue wasn’t doing much better either. Could that phrase even be used like that?
“Mom, I didn’t say anything wrong though.” Yu Ze felt wronged. He glanced at Qin Jiale—he really hadn’t misused the phrase, co on!
“I know you didn’t misuse it, but she’s your aunt—how could you talk to her like that?” Qin Xue wasn’t upset about the phrasing but rather that he directed it at his aunt.
“Pfft, cough cough.” This ti, a few others couldn’t hold back their reactions—it was even bigger than when Yu Ze spoke earlier.
“Sis, you did that on purpose.” Qin Jiale’s face turned red. Her entire family was laughing at her, brutally trampling on her girly pride.
“You finally realized? Took you long enough.” Qin Xue admitted it was intentional. She wanted to tease her younger sister, and she played along with her son’s joke. Who could’ve guessed everyone would find it so hilarious?
“‘Glass heart’ doesn’t an anything bad; it just describes soone who can’t handle even the smallest setbacks.”
But her little sister absolutely wasn’t that kind of person, right? That’s why she dared to joke about it. Otherwise, her little sister might have already wrestled her down.
“You’re all terrible! I’m just going to eat—I won’t bother with any of you.” Qin Jiale couldn’t win against so many people, so she surrendered.
“Let’s eat, let’s eat.” Even though many people at this table weren’t familiar with one another, everyone seed to be getting along fine.
“Mom, do we have any more at at ho?” Qin Xue asked her mother. With so many people here, wouldn’t a barbecue be a blast? Barbecue paired with beer would be perfect. Unfortunately, they didn’t have beer right now—what a sha!
“Isn’t there enough at already?” Nangong Shulan looked at the at dishes—there was quite a lot.
