Chapter 1781: Chapter 1775: Coming to Help
“Mom, what vegetables do you and Qin Xue want to pick? I’ll help.” Qin Gang didn’t want to just stand by and watch his mother working, so he decided to lend a hand.
“You just keep an eye on Moli, there’s no need for you to do anything else.” Aunt Qin looked at her son, thinking that having a wife with no surprises was already a great achievent, there’s really no need for him to help pick vegetables.
“Isn’t it quicker if I help you? Moli is standing safely above, there’s no problem.” Qin Gang looked at his wife’s smiling face and then said to his mother.
“Mom, let Gangzi help you, otherwise, by noonti, if the sun cos out, it’ll be sunny, and after finishing picking, we can go ho to make breakfast. Otherwise, when Dad cos back, there’s nothing to eat.” Moli spoke up for her husband.
“Well…alright, ask Qin Xue what she wants, and then just pick them.” Upon hearing her daughter-in-law’s words, Aunt Qin glanced at the sky. Today was cloudy, so there wasn’t much sun. If it were midday, she wouldn’t be roasted in the sun.
“Qin Xue, what kind of vegetables do you want?” After listening to his mother, Qin Gang turned around to ask Qin Xue.
“Pick a bit of everything, not too much quantity, but more variety.” Qin Xue wanted a bit of every kind of vegetable, so that eating them would be enjoyable. Otherwise, just one or two types are so boring to eat.
“Alright, I’ll just pick them as I see fit.” Qin Gang felt Qin Xue’s request was really low, basically a matter of just moving his hands.
“Aunt, I’ve picked enough.” The three worked quickly; Qin Xue looked at the basket brimming with vegetables, enough for them to eat. Picking too much would make her feel bad.
“There are still so many here, pick more to take back.” Aunt Qin wasn’t aware that Qin Xue and the others were leaving today, so she suggested after looking at Qin Xue’s basket.
“No need, this much is enough. If needed, I’ll return for more.” Qin Xue thought since there was no refrigerator and they picked too much, it would spoil easily in hot weather, as things just don’t keep well.
“That’s fine, let’s go back then.” Aunt Qin listened to Qin Xue and found her reasoning sound, so she nodded in agreent.
“Qin Xue, let carry this for you. You and Moli can walk slowly.” Qin Gang looked at the large basket of vegetables, first shouldering his mother’s backpack, then picking up Qin Xue’s basket and spoke to her.
“Okay, thank you, Gangzi Ge.” Only a few days ago did Qin Xue find out who Qin Gang was, because he helped them look for their son. It was then she realized this silly man was Aunt Qin’s son.
“No need to be so polite, the relationship between our two families is there, no need for formality.” Since they were from the sa family tree, even if ti had passed, the relations remained. Qin Gang always felt Qin Xue was overly polite.
He just didn’t know that this Qin Xue was not the one he thought; if he realized, he’d probably be shocked, but Qin Xue wouldn’t reveal it herself.
“Moli Sis, let’s head back, be careful.” Qin Xue saw Qin Gang acting uncomfortable with her being formal, so she decided not to say anything more and started talking with Moli instead.
“Alright, let’s go.” Moli didn’t expect Qin Xue would actually co over to talk with her.
This was Moli’s first ti eting Qin Xue; previously, Qin Gang sent her back to her parents’ ho and then returned. Today he just went to bring her back, to prevent her from giving birth at her parent’s ho.
So this was truly Moli’s first ti seeing Qin Xue. She didn’t expect Qin Xue to be so different from the rumors outside; her husband’s and mother-in-law’s attitudes toward her were different, so she felt this version of Qin Xue might be the most genuine.
