"Hmm, once the child is older, you can buy whatever you want. Besides, new toys might co out when she’s older, don’t you think?" Qin Xue thought about the dizzying array of toys filling the streets in the future. She wasn’t worried about the child lacking toys; she was more concerned about not having enough money to buy them.
"That’s true, then I’ll go buy her so milk powder." Ye Xiao pondered and agreed, choosing sothing else instead.
"Dad, would you like to co ho with , have a drink and check on Qing Zhu?" Qin Xue asked Ye Xiao, seeing how concerned he was.
"No, maybe next ti. It would be too abrupt for to go." Ye Xiao wanted to visit but knew this wasn’t the right ti.
"Alright, just let know when you want to et her, and I’ll take you to see her and introduce you." Qin Xue didn’t insist. These two were from different generations, so she just let it be.
"Okay." Ye Xiao nodded. Three adults and one child went shopping, and once they were done, their hands were filled with bags.
"Dad, are you really not going inside?" Qin Xue looked at Ye Xiao at the alley entrance.
"No, you go back. I need to return to the office." Ye Xiao waved his hand, still a bit worried about those troublemakers.
"Alright then, be careful." Qin Xue reluctantly agreed.
"Okay, Ranran, say goodbye to Grandpa." Ye Xiao looked at Qing Yuran.
"Yuran, say goodbye to Grandpa. We’re going back to find Mom." Qin Xue hugged the child and, after saying goodbye to Ye Xiao, went into the store.
"Sister-in-law, why are you here? And you bought so many things." Chu Xiaoqiao looked outside and saw Qin Xue holding the child, with many items placed at her feet.
"These weren’t bought by ; Yuran’s grandpa bought them for her. Isn’t Qing Zhu upstairs?" Qin Xue wouldn’t buy so many things herself; she had plenty of food and supplies in her space, so she didn’t need to shop.
"He should be there; I wasn’t paying attention, so I don’t know if he’s around or not." Chu Xiaoqiao was unsure.
"Alright, I’ll take the child upstairs to check. Can you help bring these inside?" Qin Xue understood it was normal for Chu Xiaoqiao, who was managing the store, not to know Qing Zhu’s whereabouts.
"Okay, Sister-in-law, where’s my brother?" Chu Xiaoqiao wondered, thinking her brother went out with her sister-in-law, but only she returned.
"He’s at work." Qin Xue replied to Chu Xiaoqiao while heading upstairs.
"So soon, he didn’t even rest before heading back." Chu Xiaoqiao felt a bit sorry for her brother.
"Can’t help it. He already ca back late; delaying further wouldn’t be right." Qin Xue knew he had taken five days off, but now he was over the ti limit.
"Alright, I understand." Chu Xiaoqiao thought for a mont and didn’t say more. She was aware that managing a store allowed flexibility with hours, but her brother’s job depended on strict rules, unlike her situation. Hence, she had no grounds for argunt.
"How have things been recently? Any difficulties or areas you’re unsure about in business?" Qin Xue didn’t have ti to chat with Chu Xiaoqiao yesterday, so she seized the opportunity now.
"It’s been okay, nothing difficult; I’ve got the hang of it. Just, Tianci and that girl seem to fancy each other, so he’s often away from the store." Chu Xiaoqiao thought about what Wu Tianci had told her.
"That’s not a problem, as long as it doesn’t affect normal working hours. Taking leave when necessary is fine." Qin Xue wasn’t an unreasonable boss. She always understood when there was a valid reason.
