"That’s true as well. That girl is a good one, and by sticking with you as her sister-in-law, she’s made the right choice. Her future prospects are indeed very bright." Fang Xiu herself only had her current life after following Qin Xue, so she felt that having the right leader was very important.

"She’s my sister-in-law, after all." Qin Xue only taught her because Chu Molin had a special regard for Chu Xiaoqiao.

Now she felt that everything she did was for Chu Molin, hoping Chu Xiaoqiao could understand her good intentions. Otherwise, she feared she might overthink things.

"That’s true. As her sister-in-law, I’ve benefitted from being with you. Without you, Jing Xin wouldn’t have found his birth parents, and I wouldn’t have the life I have now. All of this is because of you, Qin Xue. The help you’ve given our family, I can never repay in a lifeti." Whenever Fang Xiu heard Qin Xue ntion this, it reminded her of how much her life had changed from when she first t Qin Xue to now, a night-and-day difference.

"Why bring this up again? Haven’t I said not to ntion this anymore? Since you’re my cousin-in-law, helping you is like helping myself. Haven’t they said that giving roses leaves a lingering scent on the hand? Who knows, maybe one day I’ll need your help, too." Qin Xue couldn’t understand why Fang Xiu was reminiscing about the past today.

"Alright, let’s not be overly polite with each other as sisters-in-law. If there’s anything you need, just say the word." Fang Xiu stopped being pretentious.

"Exactly. We’re so familiar with each other, no need to be so distant." Qin Xue genuinely didn’t want to act too formally with Fang Xiu.

Before knowing she was the daughter-in-law of the Nangongs, she had helped her, and after knowing, she would even more so without saying anything.

"Hmm, can you handle going alone to do the paperwork today?" Fang Xiu thought about how Chu Molin was not at ho, and Qin Xue had to go to the police station alone. She wondered if she could manage it.

"I can, don’t worry." Qin Xue wasn’t concerned about this, as in her past life she had seen many people go to orphanages to adopt children, so it wasn’t difficult for her.

"Okay, let’s quickly finish breakfast so you can get going." Fang Xiu thought for a mont and agreed that there’s a first ti for everything, as long as she had a plan.

"Hmm." Qin Xue replied, and then they chatted casually while making breakfast together.

The pancakes Qin Xue made slled delicious, filling the entire yard with an aroma. Soone passing by might have thought they were making sothing especially tasty.

"Qin Xue, your cooking skills are getting better and better. Just sll how fragrant it is." Fang Xiu placed breakfast on the table, smiling as she spoke to Qin Xue.

"Not really, it’s just that you’re hungry, so you think it slls better." Qin Xue was modest, sincerely believing that when a person is hungry, everything seems particularly appetizing and tempting.

So when Fang Xiu remarked on it, Qin Xue picked up where she left off, because it’s just how it is. Otherwise, why would there be a saying about how a grain of rice can humble a hero?

"Perhaps, but your skill is also truly good. It just ans your cooking made hungrier. I’ll go check if the kids are awake, let them co to eat. Otherwise, it’ll be bad if you leave late. Besides, you have to help Xiao Qi find Yingying later."

Fang Xiu rembered that Qin Xue had promised Xiao Qi last night, and it wouldn’t be good to break that promise.
