"I don’t care what you’re thinking. I’ll say it again: I didn’t do it, and I won’t marry you. Stop deluding yourself." Xiao Qi didn’t expect that at this point, this woman still wouldn’t back down.
"Mr. Xiao, how can you go back on your word? You can’t just use up and then not take responsibility. How am I supposed to face others in the future?" Gu Beilin panicked. Was the backup she had painstakingly secured now about to be snatched away?
"Miss Gu Beilin, I think you’d better quit while you’re ahead. I really did see that woman, and she definitely wasn’t you." Qin Xue pretended to bypass Gu Beilin, and in a place where Xiao Qi couldn’t notice, she quickly whispered.
"Qin Xue, why are you doing this to ?" Gu Beilin didn’t expect that both n she was interested in would be connected to Qin Xue. She truly hated it.
"I told you, Xiao Qi is my friend’s man. Didn’t you pay any attention to what I said?" Qin Xue looked at Gu Beilin as if she were an idiot. If it weren’t for her connection with Nangong Beiying, who would care who she was.
"So, is the woman you’re talking about your so-called friend?" Gu Beilin asked uncertainly.
"Of course. Did you think I was joking? I’m not that idle." Qin Xue admitted openly. Anyway, Gu Beilin wouldn’t dare say who it was, or she’d embarrass herself. So even if she admitted it, what of it?
"You’re mocking ." Gu Beilin finally understood what was going on. She hadn’t expected to fall into Qin Xue’s trap.
"I wouldn’t call it mocking. I just think you’re going too far, so I’m reminding you. Not everyone is soone you can covet." If Qin Xue really wanted to do sothing, would this woman still be standing here talking?
"What are you two mumbling over there? Don’t you want to properly answer my question?" Xiao Qi looked at the two won whispering and wanted to solve his matter first.
"I have nothing more to say. I’ve already said what needed to be said, and you heard it all. Things are exactly as you heard, and whatever she wants to say is her business." Qin Xue pointed at Gu Beilin and then walked over to the sofa to sit. She was curious to see how Gu Beilin would co up with sothing to cover for her own words.
"Mr. Xiao, everything I told you before was true. It’s this woman who’s lying; she’s tricking ." Gu Beilin looked at Xiao Qi with grievance, hoping he’d believe her.
But Gu Beilin didn’t know if she was too confident or just thought Xiao Qi was blind and would side with her.
"If you weren’t lying to , even if she was tricking you, or even if she wanted to kill you, it wouldn’t make a difference, would it?" Xiao Qi spoke calmly.
"Exactly, it’s just a guilty conscience confessing itself. How can you bla ? Look at how straightforward and honest I am." Qin Xue chid in.
"Pfft," Wen Qing looked at Qin Xue and couldn’t help but laugh. Qin Xue was truly amusing. Didn’t she see that this Gu Beilin was about to jump over and eat her up?
"What are you laughing at? Be more serious." Qin Xue, of course, knew Wen Qing was not satisfied unless there was excitent, but so things needed a quick resolution.
"Gu Beilin, right? If you don’t clarify things, I don’t mind using so thods to investigate. If I find out the truth isn’t as you say, the consequences will be more than you can bear." Xiao Qi was angry. Even now, she didn’t admit it. It looked like extraordinary tis called for extraordinary asures.
