“Yu Chen, let’s play together. We’ll wait for Dad to get back before we go out. Mom is a woman; she has to carry the groceries and look after you. It’s too hard for her, she can’t take you.” Yu Ze looked at his younger brother, wondering why he was so eager to go out.
“Alright then, I’ll wait for Dad to co back before going out.” Yu Chen responded reluctantly after his brother spoke.
“Don’t be upset. When Dad cos back, we’ll eat, and then we can all go out to play, okay?” Qin Xue crouched down to look at her youngest son, feeling a sense of guilt towards the children.
She was busy with her business and work, leaving them to be cared for by Xue Ling. She, as their mom, seldom spent ti with them. It seed she needed to change this situation.

“Okay, Mom will buy ingredients to make you stead cake.” Qin Xue thought about buying so red dates or sothing; making stead cake was a nice idea.
“Okay, thank you, Mom.” The children’s eyes twinkled with smiles as they heard this.
“Mm, no need to thank . Be good at ho. Mom is going out, don’t go out the door, and don’t go with strangers, understand? Cohen, watch over your younger brothers, and if anything happens, call Xue Ling, okay?” Qin Xue instructed her eldest son.
“Got it, Mom, be careful, and stay safe.” Cohen nodded. Having experienced being abducted by human traffickers, he would definitely not let them or his younger brothers be taken. He was determined to protect them.

“Is your father nad Nangong Shulan?” Liu Fen had been contemplating this question recently.

“It really is. How has she been all these years?” Liu Fen asked Qin Xue, now sure of her thoughts.
“Very well. My dad loves her dearly. She’s living a very happy life.” Talking about her parents softened Qin Xue’s expression, and the sparkle in her eyes told Liu Fen she wasn’t lying. It seed her brother-in-law had truly missed out all these years.
“That’s good to hear. You look very much like your mother.” Liu Fen admired Qin Xue’s beautiful features, recognizing the beauty there.
“Thank you for the complint, madam. You are also very beautiful and elegant, sothing many people lack. You are truly a beauty yourself.” Qin Xue wasn’t wrong either, as Liu Fen had a classic literary beauty. She wondered what Liu Fen did for a living, considering such a scholarly aura only cos from being imrsed in books all day. Could she be a teacher?
