"Much better, the fever has subsided a bit, not as hot as this morning. Do you want to co in and sit?" Ji Yan looked at the towering Chu Molin standing at the door, the sense of oppression was too strong.
"No, I’ll head back and inform Xue’er about your sister’s condition after asking you. She’ll know the situation then. There’s still sothing at ho, so I must go now. Lock the door well and take good care of yourself and your sister." Chu Molin declined. Although it was night, and his wife didn’t want him to co out, he was worried about these two kids, so he ca. Yet he was also worried about his wife at ho, especially today, when she encountered two cases of illness.
"Alright then, thank you, brother, for specifically delivering dicine to us." Ji Yan still felt a bit intimidated by Chu Molin. He didn’t expect his quick hand movents to be noticed, it was quite incredible.
Just how powerful must one be to understand his thoughts and actions in such a short ti? Facing such a formidable opponent, Ji Yan decided to admit defeat, avoiding actions that are laborious with no compensation, which isn’t his style.
"No need to worry, I’m leaving. If you have ti, feel free to visit Xue’er and the others at our place for a chat." Chu Molin looked at him and finally said the words.
"Brother, can I ask you a question?" Ji Yan looked at Chu Molin.
"What question?" Chu Molin stood upright, awaiting Ji Yan’s query.
"Why are you helping us like this? Did we know each other before? Or do you know us?" Ji Yan found it just a bit strange.
"None of that. I t you for the first ti today." Chu Molin wasn’t lying, it was indeed his first ti eting him. Yet, there was sothing on him that Chu Molin had seen before.
But he didn’t ntion what that sothing was, nor did he question Ji Yan further. There were matters he hadn’t figured out yet, so he didn’t want to disrupt this situation now.
"Is it really like that?" Ji Yan looked at Chu Molin with so disbelief. Would strangers help them like this? When did the world change?
In Ji Yan’s mind, those people usually ca to exploit him and his sister. When did anyone like Chu Molin and Qin Xue co along to help them?
Thus, he found Chu Molin’s words sowhat hard to believe. When Qin Xue helped them in the afternoon, he thought it was because she, as a doctor, saw patients and acted accordingly. But so late at night, for Chu Molin to still co and deliver dicine — it made Ji Yan doubt whether they could truly be this lucky.
"Yes, it’s just that simple. I’m off now. If anything cos up, look for Xue’er. When she asks, just say I told you to go find her." As Chu Molin was about to leave, he left this sentence with Ji Yan.
"Brother, who ca?" Ji Yu faintly heard her brother talking to soone but wasn’t sure who it was.
"The sister from noon had soone deliver dicine to us." Ji Yan didn’t say much to his sister. Chu Molin said he didn’t know them, so maybe he really didn’t. Maybe they helped because they were good-hearted people.
"Oh, she’s a good person." Ji Yu didn’t expect them to deliver dicine so late. When they hadn’t received the dicine yet, they thought perhaps they had forgotten or didn’t want to give it to them. Unexpectedly, they still ca so late. It seems him and his sister misunderstood them.
"Yes, good people. Wait here, brother goes to boil the dicine for you to soak in the bath." Ji Yan instructed his sister to prevent her from getting up.
