"Qin Xue, you’re here! Co in and sit down, I was just about to open the door." An Hao had just opened the shop door when she saw Qin Xue and her group coming from afar.
"Why are you opening so late?" Qin Xue noticed the sun was already high, thinking it was too late to be opening.
"It’s nothing. Why did you co today? Are you here to check the renovation progress?" An Hao wanted to change the topic from what Qin Xue was focusing on.
"Yeah, just to take a look. I also wanted to check on you." Qin Xue wanted to see if An Hao and Li Zhao had reconciled; she felt there was no need for them to be unhappy because of others.
"What’s there to see? It’s not like you just t today." An Hao was really amused by Qin Xue. She wasn’t so young maiden going on a date, so what’s there to see?
"Seeing you two have reconciled gives peace of mind. Is Jing Yi better now?" Qin Xue noticed An Hao’s slightly shy deanor and figured she had made up with Li Zhao, so she wasn’t worried. She was just wondering if Li Jingyi had recovered from her previous indigestion.
"Much better. I bought hawthorn to soak in water for her to drink and fed her so yeast water. She’s eating normally again today." An Hao followed Qin Xue’s advice, and surprisingly, the child got better. People say children don’t fake their feelings, and that’s true. When they feel discomfort, everything seems off; but once they’re better, they’re cheerful again. It’s all thanks to Qin Xue’s help.
"Good to hear. Young children can’t express themselves verbally; adults need to pay more attention to them." Qin Xue felt that children are the most genuine.
"True, that’s because I was so upset at the ti that I neglected her. Thinking about it, as a mother, I really shouldn’t have been so careless." An Hao was too irritable back then and only wanted the child to be well, without noticing other things. Who would’ve thought that this little neglect would make the child uncomfortable? Luckily, the issue wasn’t major, or she wouldn’t forgive herself.
"It’s quite a normal thing. As long as you pay more attention in the future, there’s no need to dwell on this issue. By the way, where’s your husband? Is he at work?" Qin Xue didn’t want An Hao to keep blaming herself.
"Yes, he said he hasn’t properly handled work matters for a long ti and that if he doesn’t go to work, things will be left unattended." An Hao didn’t expect Li Zhao to seem unaffected, yet he said he hadn’t worked properly for many days and hadn’t been in the mood at all.
"That’s understandable. If soone can work normally in such situations, it ans they’ve never invested real feelings. Anyone who truly cares can’t do that." Qin Xue thought about how whenever soone genuinely loves another, they’re affected by the other’s emotions. How can one work calmly as if nothing’s wrong? There’s no saint in the world, just ordinary people with emotions.
"Yes, you’re right. It’s okay; he does his thing, we do ours. Everyone is an individual, so naturally, they handle things differently. That’s perfectly normal. Any news from your husband’s side?" Qin Xue wondered about Li Zhao moving out and assud that Chen Lei must be upset. She was curious if Chen Lei had caused any trouble for An Hao.
