“Alright then, I’ll go with you to take a look. But let’s make this clear first, it’s not who wants to go, but you who wants to, and I’m accompanying you.” Qing Zhu thought it was better to say things upfront to avoid any misunderstandings later.
“Got it, I’m the one dragging you along. Let’s go.” Qin Xue looked at Qing Zhu, who seed awkward, really wondering how she had beco so finicky.
“Qin Xue?” As the two were just turning around, a hesitant voice called from behind.
“Ouyang Ziyu, what are you doing here?” Qin Xue and Qing Zhu exclaid in unison.
“It really is you guys, I thought I was seeing things, what a coincidence.” Ouyang Ziyu hadn’t expected to run into Qin Xue just while out shopping on her holiday. She hadn’t seen Qin Xue for several months, even though they both lived in the Imperial Capital, their busy jobs kept them from eting up.
“Yeah, what a coincidence. Where are you heading?” Qin Xue looked at the different-than-usual Ouyang Ziyu.
“It’s not often I get a holiday, so I’m out looking to see if there’s anything I need to buy, and then I ran into you guys.” Ouyang Ziyu genuinely hadn’t expected to et acquaintances.
“Do you want to join us for so fun?” Knowing she was on holiday, Qin Xue thought it would be nice to catch up since they hadn’t seen each other for so long, so she invited Ouyang Ziyu along, but she wasn’t sure if she’d agree.
“Sure, I’m free today anyway, but you should at least tell where you guys are going, right?” Ouyang Ziyu didn’t mind joining them, but she needed to know the destination.
“To the research institute, let’s go.” Hearing Ouyang Ziyu’s words, Qing Zhu answered her.
“Uh, what are you doing there?” Ouyang Ziyu didn’t know Chu Molin had been transferred to the research institute in the Imperial Capital; she thought he was still at the academy.
“To see a patient. You’re a doctor too, right? It’d be good for you to take a look as well, wouldn’t it?” Qin Xue had a good impression of Ouyang Ziyu, so she spoke to her casually like a friend.
“No problem, let’s go.” Ouyang Ziyu rarely had the chance to go out and see different places, so tagging along with Qin Xue gave her a fresh feeling, which she thought was quite nice.
“By the way, Ouyang, since you got back why haven’t you co to hang out? Is work keeping you busy?” When they parted ways, Qin Xue gave her own address to Ziyu, but she hadn’t visited, so it must have been work keeping her tied up.
“Yes, it’s pretty busy, but also because I have an academic project that determines my promotion prospects. So I’ve been doing experints lately, but no matter how I approach it, it’s not working out. Now that I’m on holiday, I’m out shopping, and hoping for inspiration.” Ouyang Ziyu’s academic work was crucial for her promotion. Whether she’d succeed depended on that. But she found herself unable to solve the problem, so she let herself out for a stroll, hoping to find inspiration and identify where the issue lay.
“What area of dical research are you focusing on?” Qin Xue wondered if she might have any input, and thought it best to ask which area Ziyu was dealing with.
“Radiology. I found that previous experts have specifically researched this field, so I’m thinking if I could refine it, but it turns out to be quite difficult.” Ouyang Ziyu was quite troubled.
She had stumbled upon it in the archives, realizing that X-rays had long been in use, but even now, there were still so minor issues unresolved, which were indeed major drawbacks for doctors like them.
