"Why do you say the sa thing as Sister Qing Teng? She said the sa thing when she saw us. We ca at the last minute, really didn’t have ti to let you know." Qin Jiale originally wasn’t going to co; she wanted to help her parents run the store at ho. But unexpected news of her brother getting into college made them decide to co visit. If things weren’t ideal here, they’d find another way.

"So, what do you want to do? Should I finish up here and take you back, or should you head back now, and I’ll co later?" Qin Xue looked at the tasks on hand. There wasn’t much left, but she wasn’t sure if her siblings could wait, maybe taking them ho to freshen up and rest first was better.

"We’ll wait here for you. Where are the children? Why aren’t they here?" Qin Jiale thought the house was locked, so the children must’ve been brought here by her sister. But why hadn’t she seen them? Where had they gone?

"They’re at An Hao’s next door. Wait a mont, I’ll take you there," Qin Xue put down the pen she was holding and looked at her sister.

"Okay."

"Sis." Qin Yu hadn’t expected his sister to be quite loud and real about it.

"Xiao Yu, you all co over here first. I’ll finish up this little bit of work and then take you back." Qin Xue thought there wasn’t much work left. Once done, she’d take them back, make them a al at ho, and avoid another trip—it would be better this way.

"Alright, I’m okay with that, Sis. You do your work. I’ll wait here with little Sis." Qin Yu didn’t want to hold up his sister’s work and thus stopped her.

"It’s alright. The kids are over there, I’ll take you over." Qin Xue wasn’t going to let her siblings-in-law stay here, as it was too ssy. Once she finished today’s work, she could clean up tomorrow and gradually get it organized.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t be stuck here all the ti. Staying here every day, indeed, there was enough to keep her busy, alright.

"That’s fine." Qin Yu didn’t say much. Going over was fine.

"Auntie." Yu Ze hadn’t expected to see his aunt. It was truly a surprise.

"Yu Ze darling, did you miss your aunt?" Qin Jiale could tell who was who at a glance because Qin Xue dressed the brothers differently.

"I did, but Auntie, did you co alone?" Yu Ze looked at Qin Jiale, surprised by the unexpected visit.

"No, I ca with brother. He’s right behind." Qin Jiale was not alone; if she were, her parents wouldn’t have let her co.

"So Uncle is here too. Sit for a mont, I’ll get you so water," Yu Ze understood imdiately. Grandma and grandpa’s protecting ways ant there was no way they’d let their beloved daughter travel far alone.

"No need, stay seated. If I want so water, I’ll get it myself." Qin Jiale couldn’t dare let this little one pour water for her—what if he got burnt? She’d rather be thirsty than let him do it.

"Yu Ze, long ti no see." Qin Yu also saw his little nephew, who had grown more handso, a truly exquisite child.

"Uncle, long ti no see. Must be tired, right?" Yu Ze looked at Qin Yu, with words he hadn’t shared with Qin Jiale, but now expressed to Qin Yu.

"Hehe, not really. We took a sleeper, so we could sleep and weren’t too tired." Qin Yu looked at Yu Ze, so young, yet understanding and compassionate in a way that tugged at one’s heartstrings, so different from other kids his age.
