“Sigh, whatever, let’s go.” Qin Jiale shook her head and quickly took a couple of steps forward.
“Ye Li, what on earth are you up to?” Seeing Qin Jiale walk off, Ye Zishu tugged at Ye Li’s sleeve and asked quietly.
“What can I be up to? Stop making things up. Are we really going empty-handed?” Ye Li had reached the door when he suddenly realized he’d co empty-handed. Wasn’t it inappropriate since they were going to et Qin Jiale’s sister and her family?
“You only say this at the door. Why didn’t you ntion it when we were still seated? Ye Li, I think you’re becoming silly, really.” Ye Zishu remarked, emphasizing the word “really,” which made Ye Li feel like strangling her.

“You go in first, I’ll be right back.” Ye Li rembered that there were pastries on the nu. He could just grab so; they were already there, no need for him to go buy anything. Her sister’s family had kids, and when visiting soone else’s house, bringing pastries as a gift was just right.

“Shushu, co on in, what are you doing outside?” Qin Jiale, having entered the private room and not seeing the two behind her co in, stepped back out to call them.
“Oh, okay, coming.” Ye Zishu adjusted her emotions, still feeling a bit nervous.
“Where’s Ye Li?” Qin Jiale saw that only Ye Zishu was there and the other was missing. Where did he go?
“He went to the restroom, he’ll be right back.” How was Ye Zishu supposed to know what he was doing? He didn’t say anything, so she just randomly made up a reason for him.
“Alright then, let’s go in first. My sister and the others are waiting for us.” Qin Jiale hadn’t expected her sister’s group to wait for her. When she entered and saw they hadn’t started eating, she felt embarrassed; so many people waiting for just her.
“Jiale, I’m a bit anxious.” Qin Jiale’s ntion didn’t help; it only made Ye Zishu more scared.
“Anxious about what? You know my sister and Qing Zhu. You know them all, so what’s there to be afraid of?” Qin Jiale was used to being with Ye Zishu, so she spoke quite casually.
“I can’t quite describe this feeling.” Ye Zishu herself wasn’t sure what she was thinking, she just suddenly felt odd.
“Then don’t think about it. Sis, I brought Shushu, there’s another who will join us later.” Qin Jiale didn’t let Ye Zishu say anything else and directly pulled her in.
“Little beauty, long ti no see, co sit.” Qin Xue didn’t expect such a coincidence, but having two more people was no issue.
“Qin Xue, long ti no see, hello everyone.” Ye Zishu’s attention was entirely on Qin Xue.
“Zishu, when did you arrive in the Imperial Capital? Has Ye Li co back?” Ye Xiao found her quite familiar and upon a closer look, realized it was his brother-in-law’s daughter.
“Uncle, how co you’re here too? You all know each other?” Since becoming sensible, Ye Zishu hadn’t returned to the Imperial Capital, but she did recognize Ye Xiao.
“Uncle? So Uncle Ye is the relative you were going to visit. No wonder you two ca out to eat by yourselves.” Qin Jiale clicked her tongue at Ye Zishu, wondering if this situation was what people ant by ‘truth is stranger than fiction’?
“Yeah, I didn’t know everything would co together like this.” Ye Zishu herself couldn’t believe such coincidences kept happening to them.
