Qin Xue was thinking, searching slowly, wanting to see if there were any, if there were, she could make so sour bamboo shoots to eat. Thinking about that taste, Qin Xue felt like nothing else had flavor, she just wanted a bite of sour bamboo shoots to satisfy her craving. She didn’t know why, but today she felt like eating everything she saw, which was rather strange.
And sure enough, after Qin Xue’s diligent search, she really did find sothing different. She found a stick to poke at the mounded earth, only to find a chubby baby underneath.
She didn’t have a hoe right now, otherwise, she would have certainly dug so out.
Qin Xue tried using the stick to pry, hoping she could get a little out.
After several attempts, Qin Xue finally managed to dig one out. It was really no easy task.
"Xue’er, what are you digging for?" Qin Xue was startled by the voice that appeared behind her while she was busy digging.
"You scared to death! Why are you here?" Qin Xue patted her heart, which was pounding with fright, almost giving her a heart attack.
"I saw you hadn’t co back for a long ti, worried that sothing might have happened to you, so I ca to check on you." Chu Molin hadn’t seen his wife for a while, worried that she had wandered off sowhere unknown, so he ca to find her.
"Oh, I saw so bamboo shoots, got caught up digging. Can you help see if you can get those out?" Qin Xue had almost dug them out just now, and now asked Chu Molin to help see if he could get them out. If he could, she’d have a good al.
"So that’s what you were doing. Alright, I’ll do it, you just stand aside and watch." Chu Molin finally understood why she was delayed.
"Okay, I’ll just wait to eat then." Qin Xue said with a smile, thinking there’s nothing better than making sour bamboo shoots to eat with whelks noodles.
"When did you beco this gluttonous?" Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue, really, he’d never seen her so eager for food before. It was quite rare.
"I don’t know either, just feel like I can eat a lot today." Qin Xue patted her belly, really feeling like the cravings inside were roaring.
"Alright, eat a bit more later, you’re too skinny." Chu Molin, hearing Qin Xue say that, didn’t feel she could eat a lot at all. On the contrary, looking at her not-so-big face, he felt she was too skinny it made his heart ache.
"You always say that. Where am I skinny? I have a standard figure, okay?" Qin Xue looked discontentedly at Chu Molin. If she gained weight, he would think she’s ugly, so better to stay a bit slimr.
This was one of the things Qin Xue would not compromise on. If a woman doesn’t care about her appearance, what else would be worth her attention?
Qin Xue worked on maintaining a good figure, always wanting to stay beautiful. She would work out after eating to burn off the extra calories, not letting them turn into fat.
"Alright, alright, standard figure it is." Chu Molin didn’t understand why every ti this topic ca up, his wife resisted so much.
Was it really that terrifying? Didn’t people say being able to eat is a blessing? How co it beca a fearful thing for her? Often, Chu Molin could guess so of Qin Xue’s thoughts, but sotis he just couldn’t understand what she was thinking. Like now, they were discussing the sa issue, but they weren’t on the sa page.
And with this mindset of hers, Chu Molin really couldn’t wrap his head around it. He had seen many won who ate a lot and were plump and robust. How co his wife was like this? He often worried that a strong wind might blow her away.
