"Alright, understood, we’ll stay here." Two of the n stationed there replied.
Originally, they wanted to rescue, but upon seeing the location of that thing, none of them dared to move. They could only report to Gu Beihan. This matter concerned their second-in-command, so they didn’t dare make any decisions on their own.
Moreover, such incidents were rare for them. Their comrades wouldn’t be in such severe conditions unless they were dead. This was why they were at a loss upon seeing Qin Ying’s condition.
Seeing Qin Xue’s skilled actions now, their hearts settled a bit. Although their second-in-command was relatively strict with them, overall, she was good. None of them wanted her to die.
"Do you guys know dicine?" Qin Xue looked at the two n. Given their quick agreent, she assud they must have so skills.
"A little bit, enough to assist." One of them replied upon hearing Qin Xue’s question.
"Very well, confidence is a good thing. As for the rest of you, clear out. If there’s any further delay, I can’t guarantee her survival." Qin Xue hadn’t expected the person she needed to save would be in such a dire state. Now, seeing it was Qin Ying, she didn’t know what to think. She previously considered her work challenging, but not this dangerous. It was more important now to focus on taking her out of danger.
If she had known they wouldn’t send her to a hospital, she wouldn’t have wasted so much ti. In such situations, the hospital should have been the first destination.
"I’ll stay." Gu Beihan calmly stated when Qin Xue glanced at him.
"Are you sure?" Qin Xue raised an eyebrow.
"Yes." Gu Beihan nodded. It should be fine for him to stay. With Qin Ying unconscious, unaware of the situation, it wouldn’t matter much.
"Alright then, stay. As dical professionals, there’s no distinction between genders. You being partners is fine too." Qin Xue nodded indifferently. She had believed Gu Beihan when he said she was his sister, but seeing Qin Ying, she realized they were more than siblings — they were lovers. No wonder Gu Beihan was so anxious and willing to ask her for help; it was quite rare.
Now that she was here, she figured there was no need to delay further. They were a couple and would be together in the future, so seeing a bit now wouldn’t matter.
"She’s my sister, not my partner." Gu Beihan hurriedly explained upon hearing Qin Xue’s words.
Unbeknownst to him, Qin Ying, who had just awakened, heard him clearly. Indeed, he thought of her as a sister; hadn’t she known this long ago? Yet, her heart still ached. After loving him for so many years, this was her conclusion — truly, fate played cruel gas.
"Leave now, please. I want a mont with Qin Xue. And rember, whatever happens next has nothing to do with her. Do not make things difficult for her." Qin Ying’s weak voice interrupted everyone’s actions and words.
"Ying, you’re awake. Does it hurt a lot? Don’t worry, you’ll be fine soon. Trust ." Gu Beihan had never shown such concern for anyone else, but with Qin Ying, it was different. She was family, and he couldn’t help worrying about her.
"It’s alright, Beihan. You all go out first. I have sothing to say to Qin Xue. Rember what I said, don’t trouble her." After glancing at Gu Beihan, Qin Ying shifted her gaze away, not looking at him again.
