"Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to treat him well. Once he’s recovered he’ll be full of energy again," the doctor replied with a smile after hearing Dongfang’s instructions.
With the previous professional treatnt and now the serum injection, there shouldn’t be any problems.
"Alright, then I’ll leave now, take your ti." Feeling Chu Molin’s less-than-welcoming attitude, Dongfang rubbed his nose and left, to avoid becoming a nuisance.
He couldn’t understand why he was so unwelco when he hadn’t done anything wrong. He really couldn’t figure it out.
Now that he couldn’t work it out, he decided not to bother thinking about it. Better to go ho for dinner, after all, he’d been performing surgeries all day and was starving.
With these frequent shifts, he was sore and tired. A bath at ho to relax was the best plan.
Dongfang truly didn’t concern himself further; after finishing up, he headed ho, unaware of what happened with Chu Molin afterward.
"Dongfang, where did you sneak off to? Just now coming back?" Ouyang Ziyu, sitting on the couch eating mousse, eyed the entering Dongfang. Had he gone on a date? They clocked off at almost the sa ti, but she had been ho for quite a while, whereas he just entered.
This hardly made sense. Ouyang Ziyu scrutinized Dongfang, trying to discern anything different, but was disappointed to find him looking just as he always did, no signs of anything amiss.
"Done staring? If so, I’m going upstairs." Dongfang let her look her fill; this girl was impulsive, and unless she had her fill, she wouldn’t stop.
"Why are you so trusting? Quickly tell , where did you go? We clearly clocked off together, yet you got back much later. Who believes there’s nothing fishy going on?" Ouyang Ziyu peered at Dongfang suspiciously.
"Got dragged back for a surgery before I left. Do you think after a day of work I wouldn’t want to go ho and rest? Get that brain of yours to stop overthinking. Eating that much sugar, aren’t you afraid of getting fat?" Dongfang remarked about the cake in her hand. Why did she love sweets so much? Every ti he ca back, she’d be eating non-stop. She’d be sobbing if she turned into a chubby girl.
"No, Qin Xue said after eating, just exercise to burn off so calories. Besides, I’m a doctor too, I know how to handle weight gain." Ouyang Ziyu shook her head. For her, eating was most important; if she gained weight, she could just lose it later. Eating up and satisfying cravings was paramount.
"Well, take your ti eating, I’m heading upstairs. By the way, why isn’t Chu Molin going to work?" Dongfang rembered an issue. Today was a weekday, yet Chu Molin was at the hospital with a child, which wasn’t normal.
When he’s at work, he wouldn’t encounter the child. The only explanation was he wasn’t at work but sowhere else.
"Because he left. He’s unemployed now. Why, you got a job to offer him?" Ouyang Ziyu replied after a bite of cake.
"No, why did he quit? He’s not sixty-five yet, is he?" Dongfang thought Chu Molin looked around thirty, wasn’t it too early to retire?
"What are you talking about? He resigned because Qin Xue is having a second child. With the new policy, no one working can have two kids. It’s not just Chu Molin without a job, Qin Xue doesn’t have one at the hospital either. Such a sha, both were exceptional talents. Who knows if this choice is good or bad?" Ouyang Ziyu lost her appetite.
Such capable individuals, yet they resigned over this. Thinking about it made one sigh helplessly.
