Seeing his brother so excited, Yu Ze wanted to scold him. Did he even know what danger was? Yet he still wanted to try!
However, seeing his brother so happy, he simply shouted out a warning and did nothing more, because Xue Ling’s words made him understand that snakes, being our mother’s, wouldn’t harm them.
Just saying this, the Red Snake was unsure how to react, as it was genuinely afraid that Qin Xue might discard it.
So, upon hearing Xue Ling’s words, the Red Snake beca listless, dumbfoundedly staying there. When Yu Chen asked, it had nothing to say and could only look at them pitifully.
Right now, what it hoped was that Yu Chen wouldn’t treat it like the Snow Wolf, tornting without retaliation, which truly frightened it.

However, it didn’t understand Yu Chen’s intentions, so it wanted to flee, but upon noticing Xue Ling’s warning gaze, it whimpered, unable to do anything and feeling like crying.
"Alright, from now on, it’s yours. But you must ask your mom first, because it can’t live outside and risk biting soone—it could be deadly. Do you understand my aning?" Xue Ling explained to Yu Chen. As long as he didn’t want the Snow Wolf, wanting the Red Snake was fine, since the Red Snake was a proud and complacent creature—letting Yu Chen temper its character might benefit it.
Otherwise, letting it roam could only cause trouble, potentially bringing calamity upon Qin Xue. But such an outco still wouldn’t allow it to roam freely, hence discussing with Yu Chen first prevents misunderstanding and unhappiness.
"I understand, then I’ll take the Red Snake, and the wolf will go to brother. That way, we both have pets! Great!" Yu Chen decided happily, concluding who would get what pet.
