Chapter 734: Chapter 728: Disgust
Chu Molin was preparing dinner when he heard noise in the room. He guessed his wife must be awake. He washed his hands and went inside, indeed seeing his wife breastfeeding their eldest son.
“Awake, are you feeling better?” Chu Molin sat on the bed and stared at his wife and son.
“What are you staring at? Do I have flowers on my face?” Qin Xue looked at him, puzzled, as he stared at her face without speaking.
“You look even better than flowers. Get up and eat. I cooked brown rice.” Chu Molin had made noodles at noon, so he cooked rice in the afternoon.
“You’re such a smooth talker.” But Qin Xue’s smile was sweet. What could be more pleasing than being praised as pretty by the one you love?
“Only to you. Should I pick up the kids or let them lie here?” asked Chu Molin.
“Let them lie here; it’s inconvenient to hold them.” Qin Xue thought, since both children were not crying, it was better to let them lie there.
“Where’s Xue Ling? What is she doing?” asked Qin Xue.
“I don’t know; she’s been in her room the whole ti and hasn’t co out.” Chu Molin didn’t know what she was up to, but he hadn’t seen her since he woke up.
“Oh, I know. You go eat first; I’ll go call her.” Qin Xue thought Xue Ling might be practicing her cultivation, so she would call her.
“Alright, I got it. Hurry up, both of you, don’t let the food get cold. It’s not good to eat cold food when the weather is chilly.” Chu Molin didn’t object, it would be better for his wife to call in this situation.
“Mhm, I got it.” Qin Xue got up, put on her shoes, and left the room.
“Yu Chen, Yu Ze, be good and wait for daddy to finish eating before we play together.” Chu Molin covered them with a thin blanket before going out to get the food ready.
anwhile, Yu Ze, with his round eyes, looked all around. As he grew older, he could see more things and colors.
Looking at the warm room, he felt moved. He truly felt the deep love from his parents, both motherly love and fatherly love.
“Xue Ling, are you in your room?” Qin Xue asked as she knocked on the door.
“Yes, please co in.” Xue Ling answered after hearing Qin Xue’s voice.
“What are you doing?” Qin Xue walked into the room and saw her fiddling with so bottles and jars.
“These are the dicines I made. I’ll give them all to you. Next ti when you prepare pills, you can just add a bit of this, so you don’t need the hassle of cooking all those herbs.” Xue Ling handed the finished products to Qin Xue.
“So this is what you were working on all this ti?” Qin Xue looked at the bottles in front of her, amazed at Xue Ling’s speed. She had only been sleeping, yet Xue Ling already made so much.
“I’ve used up all the herbs you took out, so if you want to make more, you’ll have to bring out more herbs,” said Xue Ling, hoping that Qin Xue wouldn’t be upset about using up all the herbs without revealing anything else.
“Sure. There are plenty of herbs in the space for planting.” Qin Xue didn’t mind since there were loads of herbs in the space; she could give any amount of them to Xue Ling.
“By the way, Master, did you co to find for sothing?” Xue Ling asked Qin Xue after tidying up the table.
“I’m calling you to eat. What else could there be?” Qin Xue sighed helplessly. Now she could only eat grains like everyone else in this world. She couldn’t possibly let Xue Ling eat raw at; people would be frightened if they saw her doing so.
“Alright, I’m starving. Is the al cooked by you or your darling husband?” Xue Ling asked Qin Xue.
“Of course, it’s cooked by Chu Molin. Why?” Qin Xue didn’t understand why she was asking.
“It’s terrible.” Xue Ling spat out the two words and left the room.
“Hey, you brat. You should be happy to have food. Don’t be so picky.” Qin Xue couldn’t help but feel defeated by her attitude.
