After heating up the food, Qin Xue left Xue Ling alone and went to take a shower before taking care of the children.

“Be good, babies. Mommy will certainly spend more ti with you, but if I pass my exams, I may not be able to be with you as often,” Qin Xue said with mixed feelings. Yu Ze heard the conversation between his mother and the Fox Fairy. He didn’t bla his mother for having no ti for them. He understood she was seeking better living for them and trying to help their father. He hoped this life, his parents would love each other till the end, unlike his previous life where his parents were a disgruntled couple.
“Oh, Yu Ze, you’re awake.” Feeling sothing touching her face, Qin Xue opened her eyes and t her son’s pure gaze. She had an indescribable feeling, as if what she saw was different between her first and second glances.
Yu Ze just stared at Qin Xue, not crying or fussing, even breaking into a smile.
“Baby, are you happy to see Mommy? Was it frightening without around yesterday? I promise I’ll try not to leave you alone for so long again.” Qin Xue gently pressed her face to Yu Ze’s, whispering lovingly.
The touch from his mother made Yu Ze blissfully squint, basking in her warmth. The love he had longed for in his previous life, which he could never obtain, was now effortlessly given to him. Such love was a rarity for him as his birth was not desired by his parents in his previous life. In this life, his parents loved each other deeply, and he was a symbol of their love, receiving the affection he craved.
However, Yu Ze was struggling between relief and lancholy. Yet he chose to cherish the current happiness and let go of the past sorrow.
