Qin Xue breathed a sigh of relief after noticing the improvent in An Hao’s mood. It was good that she had cheered up. Qin Xue had noticed that An Hao had been crying when she returned ho but pretended not to know. Similarly, Xiaoqiao, the little devil, also played dumb, not asking her a thing, to avoid making An Hao feel awkward.
“An Hao, how’s your makeup practice going?” Qin Xue asked, sitting next to her after dinner.
“I’ve learned everything you taught , but I’m still not very skilled.” Qin Xue had taught her the points to note for applying light makeup, for smokey eyes, and many other makeup techniques.
“Then just practice more. I’ll teach you so other things later, and if you practice diligently, you’ll be good.” Qin Xue said to An Hao.
“Xiaoqiao, how about you? How are you doing?” Qin Xue asked her sister-in-law after inquiring about An Hao’s progress.
“Sister-in-law, I’m not doing especially well in learning, yet. However, I will master it quickly.” Chu Xiaoqiao had more interest in food, so she did not study makeup as seriously.

“Not good enough. You have to study and practice more, or else there’ll be no food for you in future.” Qin Xue would have lived in vain if she didn’t know what this girl was up to.
“Sister-in-law, that’s not fair!” Chu Xiaoqiao was alard when she heard this.
“If you want to enjoy tasty food, you must study more. Now co over here. I’ll teach both you and An Hao together. After that, you can follow to the kitchen to learn other things.” Without realizing it, Qin Xue had been stricter with Chu Xiaoqiao than with An Hao, expecting Xiaoqiao to learn more things.
She just thought of Xiaoqiao as Molin’s sister who needed to be taught more so she wouldn’t be bullied in the future. She wished to teach Xiaoqiao everything she knew.
“Oh, understood.” In her heart, though, Chu Xiaoqiao was slightly overwheld. There were indeed many things that one needed to learn in life.
After teaching them another type of makeup, Qin Xue brought Chu Xiaoqiao with her, leaving An Hao alone to practice her techniques.
“Sister-in-law, what are you planning to cook?” An Hao was curious, seeing so many ingredients prepared in the kitchen.
“Don’t worry, one dish at a ti. I’m going to teach you how to make Pork Belly Stuffed with Chicken. First, scrub the pork belly clean with so flour, and rinse the chicken clean. Then, stuff the cavity of the chicken with ginger, scallions, Sichuan pepper, and other seasonings, before stuffing it into the pork belly and sewing up the opening. Then, steam it in a pot until it’s fully cooked,” Qin Xue explained and demonstrated the steps one by one. Both cooking, each held their portion.
“Okay, let’s let it steam. Now I’m going to teach you how to make pickled radishes.” Qin Xue instructed Chu Xiaoqiao to wash the radishes and cut them into strips to dry, while she went to check on the two children.
“Baby, did you miss Mommy?” Seeing her younger son sleeping, and her elder son wide awake with his big eyes looking all around, Qin Xue couldn’t help but adore him.
“Hehe,” Yu Ze looked at his mother and laughed joyfully.
“Ah, it seems that our baby missed Mommy, didn’t he? Darling, Mommy missed you two, too. It has been half a day since I have held you. Now that your little brother is asleep, let’s have Mama hold you.” Qin Xue said, bending down to pick up her elder son. She kissed his face, earning even more chuckles from the child.
Qin Xue now understood her elder son’s personality. He was usually a well-behaved child who didn’t fuss or cry. However, he loved it when she held and kissed him. Whenever she hugged him, he would laugh heartily, and whenever she kissed him, he would blush. Incredibly, such a small child could be shy, but that was exactly how her elder son behaved.
So, Qin Xue loved teasing him, playing with him this way and that, and he didn’t seem to mind it at all, making him truly endearing.
