Chapter 944: Chapter 938 Packing Luggage_1
“Xiu, have you finished packing your luggage?” Qin Xue called out to Fang Xiu from outside her room.
“Qin Xue, co on in. I don’t really have anything to pack, just a couple of outfits.” Fang Xiu really didn’t have much to bring along.
Apart from helping with so minor cooking here, her ti was largely spent learning to embroider. As she couldn’t think of any suitable gifts to bring to Qin Xue’s house, she decided to give their family a scarf she had embroidered. Therefore, she packed all the silk scarves she had embroidered. Other than that, she packed a few changes of clothes for Taotao, since little children often dirtied their clothes while playing.
“Alright, we have everything packed. We’ll set off after lunch.” Qin Xue was excited at the thought of seeing her family.
“Hmm hmm. Your uncle and aunt will surely be delighted to celebrate the reunion.” Fang Xiu was happy for Qin Xue. Unlike her, she had no family to return to. Her sister-in-law wasn’t easy to get along with, and no matter how much her brother loved her, it was to no avail. She didn’t want her brother to quarrel with his wife because of her and disrupt the family harmony. Her mother couldn’t make decisions, and her father, always busying himself with God knows what, hardly cared about them. It was better left unsaid.
Qin Xue’s life was quite different from hers. She could tell that Qin Xue was genuinely happy, and she found her spirit captivating.

“I think so too. I’ve missed them since it’s been so long since I’ve seen them all. Xiu, how about you treat my parents as your godparents when you get there?” Qin Xue thought it was a good idea.
“Qin Xue, can you not just blurt out whatever cos to your mind? You’re scaring . I might even start second-guessing about going to your house.” Fang Xiu gave Qin Xue an incredulous look. Qin Xue had just persuaded her to celebrate the New Year at their house, and now she wanted her to consider her parents as godparents. Could Qin Xue please not frighten her like this?
In Qin Xue’s world, everything happened so quickly. Yet she managed to have everyone accept her plans, a skill at which Fang Xiu could only marvel.
“Oh, co on. I was just saying. I won’t force you to agree if you’re uncomfortable.” Qin Xue just wanted her to have soone who loved her.
If she didn’t want to, Qin Xue genuinely wouldn’t force her. Besides, whether or not people were related wasn’t sothing that could be simply decided. It was all a matter of fate.
“Hmm.” Fang Xiu didn’t mind having more family mbers, but she did not want to beco a burden to anyone.
“Taotao, co with auntie to play with your brother. Let mommy pack your clothes, okay?” Qin Xue called out to Jingtao.
“Okay.” Jingtao got up and led the way. With that, Qin Xue also left the room, leaving Fang Xiu alone.
Fang Xiu watched her son and Qin Xue leave and smiled. It felt good to have a friend who understood her so well. She couldn’t be greedy. Whatever was ant to be hers would eventually co to her, and what was not ant to be hers was not worth pursuing. This was sothing she learned from Qin Xue: to let things happen naturally.
When Qin Xue returned to the room with Jingtao, she saw Chu Molin playing tangram with the two kids. Qin Xue had instructed soone to custom-make the tangram set to aid the children’s intellectual developnt. She had also planned to have a picture turned into a jigsaw puzzle for them to play with. She had it all planned out: the puzzle would feature Doraemon, Pleasant Goat, and Big Big Wolf, providing all three kids with sothing to play with. When An Hao’s child was old enough, she would have another one made for him. Wasn’t she the most considerate?
