Think for yourself, if you believe it’s good, tell her about it in the future. However, considering her age, she might be planning on getting married.”
“If you wish to attend night school, co to after the New Year and we will enroll together. But juggling work and study could be challenging. I’m just letting you know upfront so you won’t give up easily.” Qin Yu said, offering suggestions rather than making decisions for them.
“Alright, I’ll consider it carefully and let you know my decision.” Qin Yun isn’t the naive version of himself anymore. Over here, he has learned about competition and survival. Wanting sothing better requires hard work. His county life seems worlds away now. He’s no longer the hot-blooded youth he once was. Being incarcerated taught him that only those with abilities avoid becoming victims, and so he strives to do better.
“Hmm…Are you on the night shift today?” Qin Yu asked, noting that Qin Yun had not ntioned leaving.
“Yes, I just woke up and ca straight over. It’s better to go ho together so our family won’t worry.” Qin Yun was now a board worker and his salary was higher than his sister’s, but the job was not any less demanding.
“Do you need to go back and rest a bit? You still have so ti before your shift starts tonight.” Qin Yu didn’t want to encroach on his rest ti. After all, his ti was flexible while Qin Yun’s was structured.
“No need, I’ve had enough sleep, which is why I have so free ti. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be considering night school.” Qin Yun is content with just a few hours of sleep thus leaving him ample free ti. Therefore, he was considering Qin Yu’s suggestion but he would have to discuss it with his family first.
“That’s good. Actually, I’m almost done with my work here, you don’t have to help . Sit down and think about what you would like to study if you decide to attend night school.” Qin Yu said to Qin Yun, not wanting him to choose a major blindly and struggle with sothing he doesn’t enjoy or understand.
“I’ve never thought about that. Do you have any recomndations?” Qin Yun hadn’t given thought to this just yet.
“I don’t have any suggestions, but you could ask your family for their opinions.” Qin Yu said, deciding not to intervene.
“Alright, I was thinking the sa. Let’s talk about it later; what are you studying? I can’t understand any of the books you have.” Qin Yun picked up one of Qin Yu’s books and asked him about it.
“I’m studying to be an engineer, focusing on design, it’s my interest. You don’t have to follow my path.” Qin Yu smiled. He chose this field because his sister said he had an aptitude for numbers, which would serve him well in this field. He listened to his sister, but as he started studying it beca unexpectedly interesting. Now he couldn’t help but admire his sister’s decision for him; it always seed to be for the best.
After the brothers finished their discussion and dealt with their respective tasks at hand, Qin Yu cooked so noodles for them to eat together. Qin Yun then headed back to work, while Qin Yu continued studying.
