Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path Chapter 649: The Sound of the Door Opening at Midnight
Perhaps she thought of things from her past life.
That night, Gu Lingling started having those strange yet vivid dreams again.
However, the people in this dream weren’t ones she recognized.
Gu Lingling dreamt of an elderly man with graying hair collapsing on the ground.
At the mont when she saw the old man faint, her heart inexplicably felt a pang of distress.
Unexplainable panic, an inexplicable urge to cry.
This ti in the dream, there was a very definite ti, and the place was sowhere she knew, next to a landmark building in the Capital City.
In the dream, the old man was there looking for his wife, whom he had lost many years ago.
Many years ago, he and his wife t there due to an accident, and then years later, they lost each other because of so incident.
After the liberation, the old man searched for his wife everywhere but never succeeded.
Later, he went through the movent, and although he was fine, so clues from the past were lost because of the movent.
All he could do was to co here every year on the day he t his wife, and on so commorative days, hoping to see a miracle, hoping his wife would co there too.
The day he fainted was the sa day he proposed to her.
Although it was a dream, Gu Lingling was certain she didn’t know this old man at all.
Even when she woke up, she couldn’t understand why she would dream of such things.
Because previous dreams had been verified in reality, Gu Lingling didn’t dare take it lightly. She quietly noted the date, just waiting to go there early on that day.
If it really ca true, she could quickly send the old man to the hospital.
The reason the old man died in the dream was that there was no one nearby at the ti, and not being sent to the hospital promptly delayed the best rescue ti.
When she woke up, it was still midnight, and the sound of others snoring in the dormitory could be heard.
Gu Lingling couldn’t sleep anymore; she leaned against the bed under the moonlight, deep in thought.
Then, she saw Tong Sha get up from bed with her eyes closed, feel her way to the door, and go out.
Rubbing her eyes in disbelief, Gu Lingling was sure she didn’t see wrong; Tong Sha went out with her eyes closed and only in pajamas without even putting on a jacket.
Though the weather was warming up, it was still a bit chilly at night.
She was about to get up when she heard footsteps outside. Then, she saw Tong Sha co back in with her eyes still closed, accurately finding her way back into the dormitory and climbing back into her upper bunk to sleep.
Gu Lingling, "..."
She wasn’t sure if Tong Sha was sleepwalking or what, so she didn’t dare to easily call her.
It’s said that waking up a sleepwalker can be dangerous.
She didn’t even know how she fell asleep afterward, but when she woke up the next day, the dorm was already filled with conversation.
Gu Lingling climbed out of bed and saw Tong Sha laughing and talking to Zhang Zhaodi at the table below, looking completely normal.
Gu Lingling got off the bed and greeted them. Before she could say anything, Zhang Zhaodi said, "By the way, I think I heard the door open last night. Did any of you go out?"
Gu Lingling wanted to check Tong Sha’s expression, but at that mont, her head was down reading, and without raising her head, she replied, "Did soone go out? What would anyone be doing out in the middle of the night?"
"Did anyone go out?" Wen Jing asked curiously, "I was dead asleep; I wouldn’t know."
Gu Lingling shook her head.
