After the suite butler left, Wanwan and Little Seventeen couldn’t hold back any longer. With a howl, they started frolicking around the room.

"Oh my gosh, it’s so big!"

"I can’t take it anymore, I can’t take it!"

Their cheeks were flushed, and they were practically buzzing with a strange, giddy excitent...

At the mont, housing prices in Magic Capital still hadn’t skyrocketed. Ultra-luxury properties charging over 120,000 per square ter were few and far between, and the average price for new hos across the city was around 27,000 per square ter. This put the 120,000 price tag for a single night’s stay into perspective.

"Staying one night would cost my dad a year’s salary."

Wanwan whispered to Little Seventeen, unable to think of a more apt comparison.

Little Seventeen sighed. "Your dad is already very impressive, you know? My mom’s a civil servant; her net take-ho pay is only 3,500 a month, just over 50,000 a year."

Wanwan rolled her eyes dramatically. "Oh, please! You spend more than 4,000 a month. You think I don’t know?!"

Little Seventeen picked up the Asprey set from the washstand and examined it over and over, continuing to lant her supposed poverty.

"That’s because I’m the only girl in our family for this generation. My grandparents on both sides, and my maternal grandparents, all give spending money every month. Otherwise, how could my dual-inco parents afford to support ? Look at . Other than gifts from others, everything I wear is a high-quality knock-off."

Wanwan nodded subconsciously, then suddenly realized sothing was amiss. What is she trying to say?!

Her eyes darted, and she abruptly changed tack to agree.

"Then we’re pretty much the sa. My family is considered comfortable enough back ho, but what’s that compared to Han Lie? Four years of living expenses might just cover one night here."

Little Seventeen gave her a deep look and nodded. "Yeah, our normal spending levels are just too far from this standard. Everything looks so dazzling."

"Exactly! Quick, quick, let’s take more pictures while we have the chance!"

Wanwan pulled Little Seventeen, turning to head deeper into the suite.

The Ritz-Carlton suite was simply too large and too luxurious for them.

At 410 square ters, it was currently the second largest in Magic Capital, surpassed only by the presidential suite at the Mandarin Oriental, which had opened that year.

It took a good half hour just to look around carefully.

The suite featured a living room, bedroom, and twin bathrooms, all made of marble, and boasted an oversized, multifunctional bathtub that could accommodate four people.

The dining room ca with its own bar and food pantry, stocked with all sorts of snacks and drinks. The waitstaff used a dedicated service passageway, so they wouldn’t even pass through the living room or main entrance.

The walk-in closet alone was over thirty square ters—far more extravagant than the entire bedrooms in most ordinary hos.

Further inside, the private study seed sowhat useful. However, the adjoining library was almost comical—such a vast space filled with so many books. Could anyone actually use them all?

Their expressions beca a bit odd when they saw the grand bathtub by the floor-to-ceiling window.

"It’s not one-way glass?"

Little Seventeen swallowed hard, GULP.

Wanwan stood at the window looking out. Before her was a vast, open view, the river flowed below, and across it, the Bund glittered under the night sky.

The city lights blazed brilliantly, a scene of dazzling prosperity.

Wanwan wasn’t sure if she was consoling Little Seventeen or herself. She said softly, "It’s okay, it’s not a big deal. The nearest tall buildings are several kiloters away. As long as you’re not pressed right up against the glass, they won’t be able to see much from down there, even with binoculars, given the angle."

Han Lie happened to wander nearby and overheard their conversation, chuckling to himself.

You two sure are carefree... Really curious, though. Why not just try it out later and see?

Seeing that it was getting late, Han Lie decided to make his move.

"Had enough looking around? Co have a drink with ."

Both young won turned around in unison.

Wanwan cooed playfully, "Of course! Lie, what would you like to drink?"

Little Seventeen’s face flushed with embarrassnt, her gaze flitting about. "This is my first ti visiting such a beautiful suite; I almost lost track of ti... Lie, you spoil us too much. I still can’t believe it. It’s like a dream..."

Well, well, not so aloof anymore? Getting sentintal? Going for the demure little woman act?

Little Seventeen’s change was significant but not abrupt.

She had softened gradually, and this might not even be her limit.

"It’s alright."

Han Lie smiled inwardly but waved a dismissive hand with an air of magnanimity.

"You have two and a half days, that should be enough ti for you to explore. If you find anything particularly interesting, let know. Actually, I’m not too familiar with this place either."

Wanwan instinctively clutched her chest, feeling as if she’d been shot.

Lie is so cool! He looked dashing when he was paying, and he’s even cooler now, being so considerate of our feelings and not even ntioning money.

Wanwan deeply felt that the so-called rich second-generation kids who used to flock around her were utter trash in comparison.

They’d act all superior and haughty just for spending twenty or thirty thousand yuan, looking down on people, desperate to make sure you noticed their "generosity."

What kind of generosity is that, with such a deaning attitude?!

Just look at our Lie!

No way, I can’t let this one get away!

Wanwan’s eyes sparkled as she said sweetly, "You’re a young master; you only care about whether it’s comfortable, not about minor details like these. It’s only us girls who can’t afford to stay in places like this who get curious about all these little things..."

Little Seventeen nodded, in profound agreent.

But in reality... Sigh, what a huge misunderstanding.

Han Lie truly was staying in a Ritz-Carlton presidential suite of this caliber for the first ti—in both his lifetis.

To be honest, given his actual net worth, he really had no business putting on such an act.

With barely over two million in cash and total assets just over twenty million, what right did he have to stay in a presidential suite costing 120,000 a night?
