Han Lie woke up at 9 o’clock, feeling refreshed and in a good mood. He had just stepped out from the bedroom of his executive suite at Sheraton when he imdiately noticed Liang Wu waiting in the living room.

"Boss, what would you like for breakfast?"

The little secretary had slipped into her role remarkably quickly. Dressed in office lady attire with black stockings, clutching an iBook and a notebook, her alluring professional image was dialed to the max.

"Sothing light," Han Lie replied.

He casually glanced at his pear-shaped little secretary. His eyes were clear, his smile gentle, and then he stretched his shoulders and headed for the bathroom.

It wasn’t that the old lecher had changed his ways; he simply wasn’t in a rush to devour her. Compared to hastily using her to quench his lust, Han Lie was more curious to see how far she could grow. Besides, if he could shape her into a smooth, skillful, wise, and decisive big boss with a strong presence, wouldn’t that make her all the more delectable? This was special treatnt reserved for a smart woman.

Liang Wu nodded. "Understood."

As soon as Han Lie entered the bathroom, she imdiately contacted hotel service to order four dishes and a soup.

The dishes were Cantonese, featuring both fish and at.

When Han Lie erged, toweling his hair, he was sowhat surprised by the spread on the table.

Liang Wu took the initiative to explain, "Based on my understanding, ’light’ ans less oil, salt, and spice—nothing too stimulating—rather than vegetarian. From what I’ve observed, you’re not particularly fond of vegetables. It’s now 9:30, a ti that’s neither early nor late for a al. With your physical condition, just eating plain congee, stead buns, and choy sum would definitely leave you low on energy. So I’ve put together a selection of high-rated Cantonese dishes from the hotel for you, which I think should et your taste. Is that okay?"

More than okay! She handled this perfectly, exactly to my liking.

Although Han Lie already knew Liang Wu was a natural at anticipating others’ needs, her thoughtfulness still ca as a pleasant surprise.

"Very good. Sit down and join for a bit more," Han Lie said, beckoning her over.

"A bit more" ant that he knew she had probably already eaten breakfast, but he still wanted her company.

Without a word, Liang Wu sat down opposite Han Lie and ladled soup into bowls for both of them. She chose yam and poria with squab soup, serving Han Lie the clear broth while adding a couple of extra yam slices to her own bowl.

"I need to watch my weight, so I don’t really eat staple foods," she explained.

"Your physique, yeah, it needs a bit of watching," Han Lie remarked. He didn’t deliberately avoid looking at any particular area, appraising her quite naturally before nodding.

Liang Wu, like Chen Yanfei, had a voluptuous figure: full-breasted and curvy-hipped, as succulent as a peach. However, the difference between them was that Chen Yanfei was naturally big-boned yet very well-proportioned and sturdy. Liang Wu, on the other hand, had broader hips; if she gained weight, it all tended to accumulate on her lower body.

"It’s quite a hassle for too," she said calmly, showing no sign of distress. "Why don’t you take with you when you work out? I’ll see if I can shed so of this excess weight."

That’s quite an understatent. She was the type whose figure developed exceptionally well; her body fat wasn’t low, but it had all settled in the most flattering areas, so she didn’t look bloated at all. However, Han Lie decided not to praise her any further and simply nodded.

"Okay, you can drive then."

"Speaking of cars, I scheduled an appointnt with the rcedes dealership today. It’s ti to settle on your car," she ntioned.

"We’ll go to the company first and talk to the manager of the trading departnt before looking at cars. What ti did you book the appointnt?"

Liang Wu casually replied, "The ti isn’t important. They should wait for you."

Han Lie didn’t have the habit of eating in silence, but he only spoke after swallowing his food. Liang Wu’s deanor was even more elegant—an elegance not innate but cultivated through long-term self-discipline.

Overall, it was a very pleasant sight.

A little after 10 o’clock, the two finished their late breakfast and set off in her small car.

By the ti they arrived at the office, Jiao Fangyan was already deep in conversation with Zhao Zhongshi. Liu Minghao wasn’t with them, but Lü Shuli was there.

The mont she saw Han Lie, Lü Shuli’s eyes flickered; she pursed her lips and bowed in greeting. "Good morning, President Han. Hello, Assistant Liang."

"Hold on, hold on!" Han Lie raised his hand to stop her. "You’re only helping out here occasionally; don’t start thinking of yourself as anyone’s subordinate."

With just that one sentence, the savvy people present understood—Lü Shuli and President Han had a good relationship.

Imdiately after, Han Lie turned to Zhao Zhongshi. "President Zhao, how are Lü Shuli’s work and salary arranged?"

Actually, there was no such arrangent. The company’s legal work was almost nonexistent; in fact, it was uncertain how long Zhongcheng would even continue to exist. But, of course, Zhao Zhongshi wouldn’t be so tactless.

"President Han, Lü is handling legal affairs, auditing, and other tasks. The workload for each position isn’t high, but collectively, it’s quite intricate. My idea is to let Lü continue part-ti. She can co in to handle things when there’s work and focus on Fangda when there isn’t. Once we’re properly established, we can reconsider the arrangent. For now, how about a monthly salary of 2,500 yuan, reimbursent for round-trip taxi fares, and call and al allowances comparable to a departnt manager? What do you think?"

"Quite good," Han Lie said, nodding in satisfaction. He then turned to Lü Shuli. "What do you think?"

Lü Shuli hesitated, wanting to say sothing but stopping. Under Han Lie’s firm gaze, she suppressed the urge to refuse. "Actually... okay. Thank you, President Zhao. Thank you, President Han."

Mainly, the terms Zhao Zhongshi offered were just right. It really wasn’t practical to offer a much higher salary; attracting gossip over an extra thousand or two yuan was unnecessary. The reimbursents for travel and als were the real perks. When she wasn’t busy, she could easily take the bus or subway. Then, she could get taxi receipts from the law firm and comfortably claim two thousand yuan a month.
