She glanced at Ding Xiang again. Ding Xiang’s typically innocent expression was unchanged; she maintained about two fists’ distance from Han Lie, her attention fixed on the snacks on the coffee table.
It seed she had indeed overthought it—maybe the scoundrel had just sat down randomly.
Random or not, it wasn’t acceptable!
She got up again and patted Han Lie’s shoulder. "You sit here. I can’t relax if Xiang Xiang isn’t glued to ."

Han Lie complained inwardly, yet his actions were decisive—he promptly moved over.
"Sure, I’m fine with anything. Hey, drink less."
Han Lie sat back to Chen Yanfei’s right, and Chen Yanfei now sat between him and Ding Xiang.
Although her little maneuver hadn’t worked, she had at least managed to gauge a definite attitude.
This woman, seemingly easy-going, was guarding against Han Lie as if he were a thief. Or was she guarding Ding Xiang? It amounted to the sa thing.
No doubt about it, if Han Lie really dared to pursue Ding Xiang, she’d absolutely try to sabotage it.
She was way too overbearing! So, you get to enjoy your "dog at," but you won’t let our dear Xiang Xiang satisfy her cravings?!
However, it’s human nature to be a little base, and Han Lie actually found this side of Chen Yanfei quite adorable...
"Don’t worry, I can hold my liquor really well."
Chen Yanfei wrapped her arm around Xiang Xiang and raised an eyebrow at Han Lie.
Truly, there was a hint of provocation in her look, practically begging for a smackdown.
So Han Lie, without a word, filled her glass with beer, then raised his own, gesturing to her.
"Talk is cheap. How about a drink?"
"Heh!"
Chen Yanfei scoffed disdainfully, clinked glasses lightly with Han Lie, then boldly tilted her head back and drained it in one go.

As Han Lie marveled, Chen Yanfei suddenly slamd her glass down on the coffee table, snatched up the microphone, and jumped to her feet!
Before Han Lie could react, she planted her left foot on the coffee table, leaned forward, braced her left arm on her knee, gripped the mic upside-down in her right hand, shut her eyes, and bellowed—
"Silence! And now, please welco the Mandopop scene’s ultimate diva, Chen! Yan! Fei! Taking the stage in a blaze of glory!"
Silence.
You asked for silence, and silence you received.
Everyone in the room, down to the last person, was utterly dumbfounded.
Whatever they had been doing, they all froze in place, petrified, and turned their heads in unison.
Yet Chen Yanfei remained lost in her own world, eyes still closed.
"A rendition of *Love Even After Death*, dedicated to my fans! Band, cue the music~~~~~~"
She stretched that one "cue" for 3.85 seconds, with eighteen vocal runs.
The classmates were even more bewildered.
Their eyes widened as they stared at Chen Yanfei, then, one by one, they turned towards Han Lie.
Brother Lie, what the hell is going on?! many of them thought.
Many had seen the two of them toast, and then, after just one drink, Sister Fei had transford...
Sweat trickled down the back of Han Lie’s neck as their stares bore into him.
Damn it! First ti using this skill, I misjudged the strength. It’s too potent! How am I going to fix this? Definitely can’t admit it...
Brother Lie gritted his teeth and suddenly called out to Xiao Qing, who was seated by the karaoke machine, "What are you spacing out for? Queue the song!"
He then whipped out his phone, started recording, and jumped back a good distance, aiming the cara at Chen Yanfei.

Ding Xiang, oblivious to everything, was the first to clap, cheering happily.

The scoundrel, having tossed his sha aside, reveled in her misfortune as he began to record this precious mont.
However, the very second the music began and Chen Yanfei opened her mouth to sing the first line...
Han Lie’s head buzzed, and it felt as if the very blood in his bones surged.
