What an oddball!
Chen Yantong suddenly realized that things might not be as simple as everyone imagined.
So, as Chen Yanfei had just raised her glass and was about to speak, Chen Yantong suddenly @Han Lie.
"Ying Han, you've been looking at the whole ti, haven't you? Who's prettier, or Chen Yanfei? I think you're not bad. Think it over before you answer, okay!"
The entire table fell silent.
Ding Xiang was stunned...
And Han Lie finally understood. He realized why all those boys didn't pursue Chen Yantong, despite her being quite pretty, and instead crowded around Chen Yanfei and Ding Xiang.
She was way too damn full of herself, wasn't she?!
She might be clever, but there was definitely sothing off about her ntality...
Before Chen Yanfei could even look at him, Han Lie smiled and t her gaze. "I've finished eating. Shall we go?"
He completely ignored Chen Yantong, not bothering to reply even with a single word.
Chen Yanfei's mood lifted instantly, and she decisively pulled Ding Xiang to stand up.
"Then you guys enjoy your al. I'm going to see off the tough guy, and then I'll head straight back to the dorm. Don't hang out too late, and be safe."
She didn't pay any attention to Chen Yantong either, just reminding everyone.
The three boys and two girls looked at each other in dismay, not daring to look at Chen Yantong's expression.
They knew all too well what kind of temper this young lady had.
Chen Yantong was quivering with anger, but Han Lie and his group really did just turn around and leave—without a word of goodbye or an apology!
"What nerve!"
Chen Yantong slamd her hand on the table, grabbed her purse, pushed her chair back fiercely, and stord out in a huff.
BANG! The chair she knocked over collided with the partition wall, making a loud noise.
Seventy's scalp tingled, and he quickly grabbed her. "Hey, hey, Yantong, don't be angry, don't be angry!"
It was unclear whether Da Luo was trying to diate or fan the flas as he indignantly said, "What kind of person does that? No manners, no class... Yantong, don't stoop to their level!"
Chen Dong joined in, "Really, it's not worth it. Why bother with so provincial bumpkin like that? It's beneath you!"
Big Head didn't join the discussion. He glumly went to pay the bill, leaving the other three to console Miss Chen.

The five of them left the teppanyaki restaurant with their stomachs full of grievances, complaining about Ying Han while trying to soothe the explosive Chen Yantong.
Just as they reached the street, they happened to run into their classmates Luo Zijun, Fang Xing, Huang Li, Xiao Zhi, and others.
Luo Zijun and Fang Xing looked sowhat listless. anwhile, Xiao Zhi and the other boys were clearly trying to suppress their excitent, acting strangely.
Since they were classmates and all heading back to school, they decided to walk together, even though they weren't close.
After chatting for a bit, Dongzi, Da Luo, and Chen Yantong couldn't help themselves and started to grumble like Xianglin's wife.
"...Didn't join in the conversation at all, so damn arrogant, acting like he's a big deal!"
"...That guy was so rude, just got up and left!"
"...The monitor's classmate is kind of... he just ate the whole ti, as if he'd never seen the world before."
"...It pisses off! I just asked if I was prettier than Chen Yanfei or not, right? It's like even looking at would insult him. A single guy with no girlfriend to spend New Year's Eve with, only here to see Chen Yanfei. What a poser!"
As they vented and painted their picture of events, Luo Zijun, Huang Li, Fang Xing, Xiao Zhi, Fatty, and the others were all stunned.
They looked at each other, unsure whether to ask or how to ask.
After a while, Fang Xing spoke up with a strange expression on his face.
"Are you guys talking about... that guy who was just with Chen Yanfei and Ding Xiang?"
"Yeah!" Da Luo perked up. "Did you guys see him too? Isn't he a total loser? I can't figure out what the hell he thinks he's flaunting!"
Just as Luo Zijun was about to explain, Huang Li suddenly yanked his arm and then covertly shook her head.
Xiao Zhi and the other boys just laughed it off, absolutely refusing to share a common enemy with Miss Chen and her group.
Then, the atmosphere suddenly turned extrely weird.
Not two seconds later, Xiao Zhi suddenly slapped his forehead. "Oh! We still need to bring so food back for the kids who stayed behind. Big Head, maybe you guys should head back first?"
Big Head was still fuming and didn't think much of it. He casually replied, "Sure, we'll get going then. Today was so freaking unlucky..."
The original six, in a sullen mood, headed back.
anwhile, the remaining group, including Luo Zijun and Fang Xing, exchanged glances. Huang Li suddenly snickered, and everybody burst out laughing.
"These guys are really sothing..."
"HAHAHA! I'm about to pee myself laughing!"
"What's wrong with them? Are their eyes on the top of their heads or what?"
"It's rare to see the Missy take a hit, and it's pretty satisfying!"
In fact, Luo Zijun and Fang Xing didn't feel great after seeing Han Lie; they were also jealous.
The difference was that Han Lie's performance last ti had been flawless. Although they might not admit it verbally, they were truly convinced in their hearts.
The gap was clear.
No matter how much Fang Xing wanted to take advantage of Han Lie's absence and sneak ahead, he didn't truly believe he was better than Han Lie.
It was just a bit of wishful thinking, plus a young man's unwillingness to admit defeat, that was sustaining him.
Now, their mood suddenly improved seeing Big Head, Chen Dong, and others—people they didn't usually get along with—treating the true God Lie like a fool and muttering things behind his back.
It was nothing else but schadenfreude. Watching people they disliked run into bad luck was a great stress reliever!
"Hey, what do you guys think..."
Xiao Zhi grinned slyly as he began, "Imagine their reaction next ti, when they suddenly find out the 'loser' they've been ranting about is actually an 'aweso plus'?"
Fang Xing frowned. "That depends on the occasion, right?"
Huang Li smiled faintly. "Yanfei told Han Lie has already accepted our school's invitation to give a lecture."
They were all smart people; they understood instantly.
"Holy shit!"
Fatty suddenly slapped her thigh. "When they see Han Lie get on stage, won't their eyeballs practically fall out?"
"Right on the money!"
"Just thinking about it makes start to feel embarrassed for them..."
Little Qing imdiately started rubbing his hands together with excitent. "Bros, keep it a secret, okay? When it's ti for the lecture, let's coax all those arrogant jerks to go. We absolutely can't let them sneak away!"
"You're so bad, so bad!"
While cursing Little Qing for his wickedness, everyone was buzzing with excitent, plotting away.
There was only one target—how could they get all of them, without exception, to the front row of God Lie's lecture?
Man, once they started discussing it, they found they had a ton of ideas.
When it ca to such matters, everyone was more eager than the next. This wasn't because of Han Lie's earlier treat, but because they already had their own preferences in their hearts.
Looking down on Han Lie is your own blindness; it's none of our business.
But trying to show off around Yanfei... who gave you the courage?
