Uncle Pan was extrely anxious. Believing he had figured everything out, he finally couldn’t resist going downstairs.
"COUGH, COUGH!"
Pan Ge heard the cough and turned around hurriedly.
"Dad, why did you co down?"
She didn’t think anything of Xi Luting having an arm around her waist. In high school, she and her best friends were always clinging to each other, so it was completely normal for her.
Xi Luting, however, released her hold as if electrocuted the mont she heard "Dad."

Xi Luting quickly straightened up and politely greeted Uncle Pan, "Hello, Uncle Pan."

Despite the turmoil in his heart, Uncle Pan maintained a very affable appearance. He smiled, nodded, and said, "Good, hello to you both."
Then he plopped down next to Han Lie and started making small talk with Xi Luting.
"Where are you from, Ting Ting?"
"Are your parents doing well?"
It was a subtle, systematic questioning.
Neither Pan Ge nor Xi Luting noticed anything unusual. They simply took it as an elder’s care and concern, responding politely and sweetly.
Poor Han Lie, sitting beside them, had to struggle so hard to suppress his laughter that his temples throbbed.
However, Uncle Pan didn’t go too far and soon stopped. This showed that although he was impatient, he still acted with a degree of thod.
Before leaving, he patted Han Lie on the shoulder and said earnestly, "Han Lie, our Pan Ge is quite reserved and doesn’t have many friends she can really talk to. I like both you and Ting Ting very much. In the future, when you have weekends or holidays off, please feel free to co over and visit. Don’t be shy, alright?"
What could Han Lie say?
He could only nod in agreent, "Okay, Uncle Pan."
After Uncle Pan went upstairs, Xi Luting showered Pan Ge with praise, "Pan Pan, your dad is so amiable! He doesn’t put on any airs at all, blah blah blah..."
anwhile, Pan Ge frowned, scrutinizing Han Lie suspiciously.
It didn’t make any sense.
My dad has always been strict with boys. Why is he so exceptionally well-disposed towards Han Lie?

But Han Lie just smiled, calmly accepting her scrutiny and contemplation.
Pan Ge, caught in the middle of it all, couldn’t figure out what was going on. In the end, Han Lie’s unperturbed deanor thoroughly ignited her competitive spirit.
