Then, lody Sumrs moved Blondie’s body out of her space and threw it on top of Flynn Adler, riddling his body with a few more arrows as well.
Just as she’d done before, she searched Blondie’s body and, sure enough, found a handgun that glinted coldly.
lody Sumrs stored the handgun in her space as well.
Having dealt with everything, lody Sumrs could no longer stand the thick stench of blood in the room. She slipped back into her space and sat on the grass, panting heavily.
In The Arcadian Woods, the fruit trees were laden with fruit, their branches heavy with all sorts of plump produce. The air was filled with a sweet, fresh fragrance.
lody Sumrs silently closed her eyes, forcing herself to calm down. She took deep breaths, trying to wash away the gory images seared into her mind.
After a minute of silence, her mind finally settled. She quickly ran through her plan and prepared to return to the hotel room.
But just as she opened her eyes, she discovered that a Leopard had silently approached at so point!
The Leopard was now standing right in front of her, the two of them staring at each other.
The massive beast stared fixedly at her, its eyes holding the distinct, intimidating presence of a large feline. It opened its mouth slightly, revealing sharp fangs.
lody Sumrs shuddered, clapping a hand over her mouth to keep from screaming.
’How could there be a leopard in my space!’
lody Sumrs stared at the Leopard in disbelief, so shocked that she froze on the spot.
Just then, Albus darted out from behind the Leopard and agilely leaped onto its head.
The mont Albus landed, the Leopard, which had been standing tall and proud, instantly slumped to the ground like a deflated ball and began to listlessly lick its paws.
Seeing this, lody Sumrs hurriedly asked, "White, what’s going on? Where did this Leopard co from?"
Albus tilted its head at lody Sumrs and replied:
"I saw it on the second basent level. It blocked my path and wouldn’t let leave, so I had no choice but to bring it in here."
"It’s really huge. It gave quite a scare when it first appeared."
The Leopard: ...???
Hearing this, lody Sumrs quickly scooped Albus into her arms. "Don’t be scared, White," she comforted, stroking its head.
Albus snuggled contentedly in lody Sumrs’s arms.
The Leopard: ...
Seeing that the Leopard wasn’t aggressive, lody Sumrs relaxed.
Holding Albus, she circled the Leopard. She had only ever seen this kind of animal in TV docuntaries.
There’s usually no one in the shot for scale on TV, so she had always thought leopards were about the size of a dium dog. She never imagined a real one would be this huge!
Seeing the Leopard lying listlessly on the ground like a docile housecat, lody Sumrs ran to the storehouse, pulled out a few chickens and ducks she had slaughtered earlier, and tossed them to the beast.
lody Sumrs spoke to the Leopard tentatively. "Flora, there isn’t much food or water outside right now. Life won’t be easy for you out there, so why don’t you stay here for now? When I get the chance, I’ll take you back to the Veldian Plains."
"You can eat these chickens and ducks for now. If you get thirsty, drink from the stream... I’ll feed you every day from now on, but you can’t kill any of the animals in the livestock pen, and you can’t cause trouble in the fields..."
As if it understood her, the Leopard listened quietly, then began to chew on the chickens and ducks lody Sumrs had given it.
Seeing how well-behaved the Leopard was, lody Sumrs felt relieved.
Albus said to lody Sumrs:
"There are a lot of rooms on the second basent level with many girls inside. Nina Walsh and the girl from the elevator are in there too. But there’s a group of n guarding the elevator entrance."
This leopard, anwhile, had been guarding the stairwell of the ergency exit on the second basent level.
"There are also quite a few n guarding the elevator entrance on the third basent level, but all the doors there are locked."
’Perhaps they thought the girls couldn’t fight back, so there weren’t too many thugs guarding the second and third basent levels. Many more were spread throughout the hotel’s other floors, disguised as security guards.’
lody Sumrs nodded, already planning her next move.
Then, she took a deep breath and slipped out of her space.
Back in room 1108, the thick stench of blood once again assaulted her senses, and she had no choice but to hold her breath.
lody Sumrs knew that to prevent her from making a run for it, the two thugs in the hallway were most likely guarding her door right now.
So she took the blanket from the bed and draped it over the overlapping bodies of Blondie and Flynn Adler, hiding the bloodstains and leaving only their heads exposed.
After setting the scene, lody Sumrs deliberately knocked over a cabinet.
With a few loud thuds of heavy objects hitting the floor, the thugs outside began knocking on the door, just as she’d expected, asking what was wrong.
When there was no response from inside, the two thugs exchanged a look.
Afraid sothing had happened to their boss, they quickly took out a key card and swiped the door open with a BEEP.
They saw the room was a ss, with two figures lying on the sofa, covered by a blanket. The thugs rushed toward the sofa to investigate.
The instant they reached the sofa, lody Sumrs erged from her space, grabbed both of their arms, and dragged them inside.
The two thugs beca corpses the mont they entered her space.
lody Sumrs searched the two bodies, but unfortunately, she found no handguns this ti, only a few sharp knives and daggers.
lody Sumrs sighed, a little disappointed.
’Looks like this group is short on firepower...’
She had originally thought about moving these two corpses back into the room, but she was afraid that two more bodies with no apparent cause of death would arouse police suspicion. She decided to leave them in her space for now and dump them on a roadside later, under the cover of night.
’These people had committed countless evil deeds, kidnapping and murdering innocents. They didn’t deserve a burial. Being left to rot in the wild was the best end for them.’
lody Sumrs walked to the door and peered out, confirming that the hallway was now empty.
She locked the door and searched the room. Finding no caras, she breathed a sigh of relief.
’There are still so many girls on the second and third basent levels,’ lody Sumrs thought. ’I can’t save them all by myself. I’ll have to rely on the police.’
So she took out her phone to call the police.
’Now that Flynn Adler is dead, no number of moles can help him escape justice.’
’It’s just a sha I couldn’t catch Kenneth Adler and Hector Hayes in the sa net.’
’Now I can only hope the police follow the clues and connect this back to Kenneth Adler and Hector Hayes.’
To be on the safe side, lody Sumrs didn’t dial 911. Instead, she called Officer Roman Rhodes directly.
Based on her recent interactions with him, lody Sumrs felt Officer Rhodes was reliable. Plus, he was high-ranking, so contacting him directly would be the best way to bypass any moles.
When the call connected, lody Sumrs began, "Officer Rhodes, I’m reporting large-scale illegal kidnapping, prostitution, and organ trafficking at The Crestview Hotel..."
lody then explained everything in detail to Officer Rhodes: how she had been lured to the hotel, the recorded confession of Flynn Adler admitting to organizing the kidnapping, prostitution, and organ trafficking ring, and the situation on the second and third basent levels of The Crestview Hotel.
Furthermore, lody Sumrs subtly hinted to Officer Rhodes that the Adler Family might have moles within the police force, urging him to proceed with caution.
Officer Rhodes was shocked. He told lody Sumrs to stay sowhere safe and not to co out, saying he would imdiately assemble a team to investigate.
After hanging up, lody Sumrs breathed a sigh of relief.
She returned to her space for a little while. Then, figuring enough ti had passed, she quietly opened the door to room 1108 and slipped out.
lody Sumrs cautiously scanned her surroundings, and after confirming the hallway was empty, she crept to the fire escape stairwell. Under the cover of her space, she descended the stairs, making her way down to the second basent level where Nina Walsh was being held...
