lody Sumrs thought she must have misheard. She snatched the rental agreent for 4-1604 from Tate’s hand and frowned, examining it closely.
Right there, in the signature field for Party B, was the na "Caleb Sumrs."

At this thought, lody Sumrs took out her phone, entered the contact number for Party B from the rental agreent into her contacts, and searched. Sure enough, the na Caleb Sumrs popped up.
’So much for that,’ lody thought. ’It’s not a coincidence. It’s my uncle, Caleb Sumrs, himself.’
Just then, Tate chid in with an explanation. "The tenants for 1604 rented the place two weeks ago. When they signed the contract, they said they’d be moving in soti in the next couple of days... The weather forecast says it’s going to start snowing tomorrow, so I guess they decided to move in today."

’Just my luck,’ lody thought, a headache already forming. ’Whatever you dread the most is bound to happen.’
Caleb Sumrs was selfish, cunning, and calculating. If his family was really moving in at a ti like this, it was definitely not a good thing.
lody Sumrs sighed silently. At this point, all she could do was roll with the punches.

After saying goodbye to Tate, lody Sumrs went straight ho. She and Winnie Sumrs had to attend that party Sophie Thorne ntioned tonight, so lody planned to go ho and get ready.
But as soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw that the door to 1604 was wide open. People were moving around inside, looking like they were moving furniture.
Ivan Warren had been peering out from the doorway of 1602, looking into 1604. When he saw lody Sumrs approaching, his expression changed instantly.
Then, as if he’d seen a terrifying monster, he yanked his head back in fear and slamd the door shut!
lody Sumrs paid Ivan Warren no mind. She watched the shifting figures inside 1604 and thought, ’So Caleb Sumrs’s family has moved in?’
Living on the sa floor ant they were bound to run into each other eventually; there was no avoiding it. lody was debating whether she should go over and see Nina Sumrs when a young, unfamiliar man and woman walked out of 1604.
The man, who looked to be in his early twenties, was wearing a simple, short, slate-blue down jacket. He was very young and not particularly tall, but he was quite handso.
The woman appeared to be around thirty. She wore a light green padded coat, and her long hair was perd into waves. She had striking features, bright red lipstick, and the combination of her vivid makeup and youthful attire reminded lody Sumrs of a Hong Kong star from the last century.
Staring at the unfamiliar pair, lody Sumrs was completely baffled. ’Who are these two? Why are they the ones moving in? ...Don’t tell Caleb Sumrs is subletting the place?’
In any case, seeing that it wasn’t Caleb Sumrs’s family moving in, lody Sumrs actually felt a sense of relief...

But Zoe Kane’s words were clearly a gesture of goodwill, so lody couldn’t say anything else. "Not at all. Everyone’s busy, and with the natural disaster going on, no one’s in the mood for visiting. How could we bla you?"

Watching lody Sumrs walk away, the woman with the red lipstick and green coat snorted. "Zoe," she said, annoyed, "is that little brat your sister-in-law’s daughter? What’s with her attitude toward you?"
Zoe Kane quickly grabbed her sister’s hand, frowning as she whispered, "Sis, keep your voice down!"
Zella Kane rolled her eyes in disdain. "Why should I? You’re her elder, her aunt! Are you actually afraid she’ll hear ?"
