Hearing this, Lucy White instinctively wanted to say: ’Of course I’m disgusted. What else would I be?’
’How much do n hate won with extensive dating histories? The mont they see a girl who’s had multiple ex-boyfriends, they start calling her a "bus," eager to drown her in their spit.’
’How many special terms have those n invented just to humiliate won? "Used goods," "hand--downs"—aren’t those all words they created to sha won? Their creativity in this area is second to none!’
Won felt the sa way, of course!
’It’s 2026, for crying out loud. Don’t tell there are still people who think a man with a long dating history is charming? To won, they’re just walking biohazards!’
’When they started calling won "used goods," they should’ve been prepared to be called "used cars" themselves.’
Although Lucy White had been through the incident at The Crestview Hotel, she wasn’t foolish enough to think she was "dirty." On the contrary, she was very clear-headed. She knew she was an innocent victim, and she despised every promiscuous man equally.
After all, if there was no demand, no one would get hurt.
That included people like Zane Simmons.
That was why Lucy White had always felt a bit of pity for her sister, Joanne White.
But Lucy White couldn’t say any of this out loud. After all, she was still living under soone else’s roof.
So, Lucy White could only choose her words carefully, saying, "Mr. Simmons, you co from a privileged background, so you have plenty of opportunities for trial and error... You can try out different paths at any ti, and with each one, you can always turn back..."
Lucy White was right. The world was tolerant of n, and even more so of powerful and influential n.
With a background like Zane Simmons’s, even if he got entangled with countless won and caused nurous scandals, the public wouldn’t be too harsh on him. So might even praise his romantic escapades and call him "a role model for our generation."
If Zane Simmons were to turn over a new leaf, not only would the public overlook his past, but they’d even praise him with sayings like "a prodigal son’s return is worth more than gold" and "a reford playboy dotes on his partner the most."
In a couple more years, if Zane Simmons got married, as long as he didn’t cause any scandals post-marriage, people would surely praise him for being devoted and call him a rare good man. His past wouldn’t affect his reputation in the slightest.
Zane Simmons, however, scoffed at her words. "None of that. I know you’re a smooth talker, but I want the truth."
Lucy White’s scalp tingled. She could only whisper, "...I am telling the truth..."
Despite her words, her gaze flickered, and she didn’t dare to et Zane Simmons’s eyes.
Seeing this, Zane Simmons didn’t press further. He just sighed softly and waved his hand, dismissing her.
Lucy White let out a breath of relief and hurried out of the tea room...

anwhile, having realized that Sylvia Lancaster might also be reborn, lody Sumrs imdiately pulled Albus over to review the events of the past few months.
"So, you’re saying Sylvia Lancaster was reborn when she fell off that building a few months ago?" lody Sumrs asked while brushing Albus’s fur.
"That night, I let Clara Hayes go. The Hayes Family had fallen, so she planned to take Sylvia Lancaster down with her, but Sylvia ended up being reborn instead?"
Albus tilted his head.
[Host, if she’s been reborn, she’ll definitely try to move over here.]
lody Sumrs smiled. "Wouldn’t that make things even more exciting? The Suttons are in this neighborhood. If the Lancasters move in too..."
lody could hardly imagine how chaotic it would be when those two families, locked in a death feud, ran into each other.
Hearing this, Albus asked:
[Host, didn’t you say before that you didn’t want the Lancasters moving in? Why do you seem a little excited about it now?]
lody Sumrs laughed. "I didn’t want them here before, but things are different now."
’Before, Sylvia Lancaster didn’t have her past life’s mories. I wasn’t in a hurry to kill her; I was content to let her and the Lancasters slowly suffer through the natural disasters of the apocalypse.’
But things were different now.
’The Sylvia of today is the Sylvia from my past life. The score has to be settled with the right person. This Sylvia Lancaster must die!’
Just then, a crisp ringtone sounded. lody Sumrs picked up the phone beside her and glanced at the caller ID. It was a call from Nina Sumrs.
"Hello?" lody pressed the answer button, her tone laced with confusion. "Why are you calling at this hour?"
On the other end of the line, Nina Sumrs’s voice was hushed, as if she were afraid of being overheard.
She whispered, "lody, you need to be careful... I just heard my dad and that woman arguing in the living room..."
"That woman" was her stepmother, Zoe Kane.
Nina continued, "I was eavesdropping at my bedroom door. That woman was complaining that you wouldn’t let her family move into your big house, and she was crying and making a scene with my dad..."
After Zella Kane returned ho, she had furiously called Zoe Kane to ask what she had said to Caleb Sumrs. She told Zoe that she and her mother had co asking for help, but not only did the Sumrs Family refuse, they even kicked them out!
The mont Zoe Kane heard this, she imdiately started crying to Caleb Sumrs.
Nina went on, "That woman also said she was going to take her son and go back to her parents’ house to suffer with her family. My dad seed really angry when he heard that. He kept promising her he’d find a way to get back at you for her family... lody, you have to be careful."
lody Sumrs’s brows furrowed.
’That Caleb Sumrs... we refused to give the house to his mother-in-law, and he’s actually mad about it?’
lody frowned and asked, "Did Caleb Sumrs say how he plans to deal with us?"
Nina replied, "That brat was crying in the living room the whole ti, so I couldn’t hear clearly from my room... lody, Dad got a promotion recently, so he has more power now. I don’t know what he’ll do, so please be careful!"
lody thought for a mont, then replied, "Okay, thank you for telling this. You be careful too. The blizzard is coming soon, so stock up on so food in your room, and call right away if you run into any trouble."
After hanging up, Nina Sumrs sighed.
She also felt her father had gone too far.
Influenced by her mother, Mindy Walsh, Nina had always thought the rest of the Sumrs family were just poor relatives dragging Caleb Sumrs down.
Now, Nina finally saw the truth. Caleb Sumrs was the one who, once he gained a bit of power, wouldn’t even care for his own mother!
The other Sumrs relatives had never asked for favors just because Caleb worked for the governnt. But Caleb, now that he couldn’t leech off his family anymore, was actually getting furious!
Nina used to adore her father, but now, she was ashad to have a father like him.
In the living room, Caleb Sumrs held Zoe Kane and comforted her softly, "Honey, don’t worry. You’re the mother of my son. As long as I’m here, I won’t let you be bullied for nothing!"
Zoe Kane bit her lower lip, sobbing softly. "I know you’ll protect , but I’m just so upset... Caleb, I’ve even given you a son, but your family still ignores ..."
"My sister told that little Jade was so hungry she was digging through the trash for food... but your family wouldn’t even spare her a single snack..."
"Caleb, you’ve always respected your family, but why can’t they accept ... I know I can’t compare to your ex-wife, Mindy Walsh, and I shouldn’t be making demands, but I just can’t bear to see my family humiliated for no reason..."
"Since your family doesn’t like anyway, maybe I should just take Chester and go back to my parents’ house..."
Caleb Sumrs’s heart ached. He pulled Zoe Kane into his arms and whispered in her ear, "Don’t you worry. I’ll definitely get even for my mother-in-law and your sister... I’ve already contacted my third younger brother!"
