Now it’s co to mind. She rembers how good Hu Chunhua was to her, so she’s thinking about having a family get-together.
The bonds between people have their limits too. She won’t forcefully hold onto a bond; letting things happen naturally is best.
She’s heard about the Yang Family’s situation. Hu Chunhua probably hasn’t had things go smoothly for the past few years either.
Honestly, it wasn’t anything major back then; she just forgot about them. Even though the relationship was good, she didn’t really feel it.
That’s why when Secretary Bai arranged for the Yang Family, she didn’t particularly mind.
This ti, she’s going to check if there’s anything she can help with. Actually, it’s not about being proud or having a Holy Mother complex, it’s mainly because she feels she has the ability and it’s sothing harmless to her, so she’ll help if she can.
People are emotional creatures, not rigid machines. Sotis emotions can outweigh everything. Didn’t they say one could show leniency outside the law?
"Mom, are we going straight ho this ti?"
"Yes, your Aunt Zeng is coming over, we must see them during the holidays."
"Mom, that little brother looks so simple and cute."
"He’s okay. I don’t feel a strong bond with him, but I’ll still try to take care of him."
"We will too."
Tan Shaoting was driving on the side, listening to his wife and kids chat.
He estimated with their current speed, they’d probably arrive by noon tomorrow.
As long as his wife is willing, he and his sons will certainly go along with it. As long as she’s happy.
Actually, he couldn’t quite understand his wife’s feelings towards the Yang Family and the Zeng Family.
But in the end, he thought it might just be about the concept of fate.
The next morning, they stopped to eat, but the three kids didn’t like the outside food. Although they weren’t overly pampered growing up, they were never deprived in terms of food. Even in the Otherworld, Tan Shaoting would cook for them, though the als were average. But it was Spirit Food, definitely not like the watery noodle soup they were having now.
However, they wouldn’t waste food and still cleaned their plates.
But they decided not to eat outside next ti.
There were just two or three hours left before they arrived. Su Yuanyuan had quite a bit of at stored, so she released a pig as they were nearing the village, making it even more crowded, but fortunately, it was only for a few minutes.
The car stopped at the Yang Family’s door. Shubao and Xiao Fei were playing with iron hoops in the yard, which Yang Minggang made for them after seeing other children play with them outside.
They heard so noise outside and saw sothing at the door, which frightened the two boys a little, but curiosity drove them to peek out from the door.
Suddenly, they saw several people getting out, startling the two.
Shubao had seen big trucks before, so he guessed this might be a car.
"Grandma, co out quickly."
Su Yuanyuan saw the child at the door looking like Yang Zhiqiang and knew it was Shubao. She hadn’t seen him in years, and he had changed so much. Not the chubby little boy anymore; he actually seed very clever, with thick eyebrows and big eyes.
Hu Chunhua was flipping oatcakes and chatting with Yu Xiuqin, not noticing the commotion outside until she heard her grandson calling.
She ca out with a gourd in hand and saw Su Yuanyuan smiling at her.
Tears imdiately ca to her eyes. "Yuanyuan, Yuanyuan, you’ve co back." She ran out as she spoke.
"Aunt, take it slow, I’m here to see you."
Yu Xiuqin also saw the Heavenly Immortal. She didn’t know much about Su Yuanyuan. Watching her mother-in-law run over.
She looked at Shubao. The child seed bewildered, probably not recognizing this Immortal.
Hu Chunhua still held the gourd, planning to flip the oatcakes, but she had forgotten to set it down.
Su Yuanyuan walked a few steps faster. "Aunt, I’ve co to visit."
Hu Chunhua reached Su Yuanyuan and wanted to hold her hand, but her hands were occupied with things, and she grew anxious.
Su Yuanyuan laughed and held her hand, "Aunt."
"Yuanyuan, I’ve seen you now. Chunsheng always said you’re busy. I didn’t dare to disturb you."
Tan Shaoting and the kids were getting out of the car at this mont.
Yu Xiuqin was even more surprised; these three kids were clearly the Immortal’s children, and they were beautiful, looking so similar. And that man was also beautiful.
She could only describe what she saw as beautiful.
Tan Shaoting ca over too, "Aunt."
"Xiao Tan, Qi Yan, Qi Hong, Qi Wen." Hu Chunhua’s eyes were teary, but a smile was on her face.
The three children also called her Great-Grandma.
At this ti, Shubao and Xiao Fei ca over. They curiously watched their grandma.
Yu Xiuqin ca to her senses and ca out too.
"Yuanyuan, these past years seem like they’ve been good for you."
"Aunt, why wouldn’t I be?"
"Good, good. Co in quickly. Qi Yan, my eldest grandson has grown so big."
Hu Chunhua was truly excited, pulling Su Yuanyuan towards the house. Turning around, she saw her daughter-in-law and two grandsons.
"Xiaoqin, Shubao, Xiao Fei, this is Su Yuanyuan. Shubao, don’t you rember your aunt?"
Su Yuanyuan looked at Yu Xiuqin curiously. This wasn’t Yang Zhiqiang’s wife. She quickly realized she must be Yang Zhiqiang’s new wife. Sothing must have happened.
Hu Chunhua explained while walking, "Shubao, hurry up and find your grandpa and your dad. Quickly, tell them to co back."
Shubao nodded and ran off. Xiao Fei followed behind him.
Qi Yan opened the gates wide, and Tan Shaoting drove the car into the yard.
By that ti, Hu Chunhua already pulled Su Yuanyuan into the house.
"Yuanyuan, I’ve got fried sticks for you."
"Aunt, your oatal oatcakes really look good."
"Right? Make so good food for you. Co in quickly."
The father and sons didn’t go in together, as there were too many things in the car that needed unloading.
He knew it was for the two families and would just unload everything for them to divide.
Yu Xiuqin watched the beautiful man lift a pig with both hands and was utterly shocked—such a beautiful man and so strong.
"Big Sister, where should I put this stuff?"
Tan Shaoting called her Big Sister. He had so guesses in his heart but knew calling her that would be right.
Yu Xiuqin was puzzled by the na. Being called Big Sister—yes, she is a Big Sister.
"In here, I suppose. Why not put it in the yard?" She said, running inside, and brought out the kang table, placing it on the ground.
The three children also started unloading things. Truly unsure where to put everything, Yu Xiuqin hurriedly brought out another table.
But it still wasn’t enough space, and she didn’t know what to do.
Inside, Hu Chunhua was sitting Su Yuanyuan on the kang, still holding her hand, trembling with excitent.
