"Xiao Tan, you’re back? Is this a family visit?"
Tan Shaoting’s face lit up. "Group Leader Ma, I have so ti off. I’m back to get married, the wedding is at noon today. Please co over for the al, I still need to inform Director Feng."
Ma Changshun was taken aback for a mont. "Alright, congratulations to both of you. I’ll be there."
"Group Leader Ma, please don’t go to any trouble, just your presence is all that’s needed."
Ma Changshun nodded with a smile. Especially since that girl gave him sothing, he couldn’t possibly show up empty-handed.
After speaking, Tan Shaoting headed to Zhao Qingxiang’s house.
Ma Dongi had overheard everything. She was feeling quite upset inside; how could he co back to get married? What was so special about Su Yuanyuan?

Zheng Lanying was lying down when she heard a knock on the door. It was Ma Dongi.
"Lan Ying, Tan Shaoting is back, and he’s getting married today. Let’s go and enjoy so good food."

How could he be getting married already? She had just visited yesterday, and he hadn’t said a word. How could she just show up now?

By the ti Tan Shaoting arrived ho, the tables were already set up.
The cold dishes weren’t much: marinated cabbage hearts, a plate of brown sugar radish strips, one of vermicelli, and one of sausage.
The hot dishes included braised pork, and dried green beans and eggplant braised in at broth. There was a pot of pickled vegetables and stir-fried cabbage with pork slices.
That was about it. Actually, there was fish too, but it wasn’t cooked. Due to the sudden decision, there was no ti to cook it. So this would have to do.
It was quite the spread already, using Su Yuanyuan’s enal bowls, one of which was full of braised pork.
The rice and cornbread were steaming away. Su Yuanyuan checked her space, but found no baijiu. She frowned as she found a few bottles of good wine, but it wasn’t the right ti to bring them out.
So there was no alcohol. However, she did prepare so dried fruits, which counted as sweets. After all, she hadn’t bought any fruit candy from around here, so it wouldn’t be fitting to bring it out.
By the ti Tan Shaoting got ho, the Zhao Brothers hadn’t arrived yet.
There was nothing much for him to do here, so Su Yuanyuan told him to get on the kang. After running all the way, he was drenched with sweat.
She found him so new cotton clothes to change into.
"Yuanyuan, don’t you have any new clothes? A woman’s wedding day is once in a lifeti. You should dress up a bit."

Su Yuanyuan found a new set of clothes, an outer layer to wear over winter clothes.
Both of them wearing new clothes indeed had a special feel to it.
Zhao Yanli ca rushing in. "Yuanyuan, I’m ho for a bit. I have so red cloth I planned to use for headscarves for Second Sister-in-law and my Second Sister’s kids. My big sister can make flowers, so I’ll make a big red flower for each of you."
Su Yuanyuan quickly stopped Zhao Yanli. "I have red scarves, we can use these."
Zhao Yanping also ca in from outside. By then, Su Yuanyuan had already found two red scarves.
