In these days, the long-ard ape was also preparing to advance.
Xiao Huei originally wanted to cling to Qi Wen, but was disliked, so it had to reluctantly stay by Tan Shaoting’s side.

Tan Shaoting thought for a mont and put away the bodies of the two demon beasts, and handed a small bottle to the long-ard ape. This was a storage bottle containing a few cups of Spiritual Spring Water.

The long-ard ape opened it and its eyes were full of delight, "Yes. This is good stuff. You really have great luck to possess such good things."
Tan Shaoting nodded too, "If you can use it, that’s the best."
The long-ard ape had already made all preparations for advancent, so it sat across from Tan Shaoting.
"Actually, this secret realm used to be particularly rich, but when I woke up one day, it seed as if the Spiritual Energy inside had been drawn away.
I have this strange feeling like I’m no longer controlled by the secret realm, or the one controlling everything in the secret realm no longer exists.

The long-ard ape nodded, "Yes, without Spiritual Energy, even the good stuff might have withered." It said and suddenly lay down, looking at the sky.
"I wonder how long this sky can remain so bright? Spiritual Energy is dwindling. Who knows to what extent it will dwindle in the future. In the worst case, it might turn into the Mortal World.
Actually, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. By then, we demon beasts might beco the nourishnt for this land."
Tan Shaoting said nothing because he really didn’t know what would happen. He had the feeling that this continent wasn’t cursed but was being absorbed of its fate and Spiritual Energy.
It should be the Heavenly Machine being concealed, thus preventing Ascension; this curse is just an excuse, a cover to deceive all cultivators.
He also told this to the long-ard ape, and the big guy sat up with a start.
