Just as the two of them were standing on the cliff’s edge, completely out of ideas, Flora Bloom was utterly flabbergasted by the conversation her little pets were having through their ntal link.
’What eggs? Who told them I like eggs?’
She listened speechlessly to the conversation between Monkey Two, Monkey Three, the golden cicada, and Rita. Thinking of these three creatures who had a peculiar fondness for eggs, she recalled the several egg-related incidents that had given her a massive headache.
The last ti, it was the Behemoth’s eggs, which had nearly gotten her trampled to death by the Behemoth itself!
Hearing the two monkeys once again egging on their new companion to steal eggs, the Behemoth, who was in the Spirit River, rose to its full, massive height and roared in the monkeys’ direction.
"Hey, hey, hey, Rita, don’t do anything reckless! Just grab so other treasures. Whatever you do, don’t bring back any more eggs!"
This place was truly mysterious and bizarre. If there were eggs here, Flora Bloom suspected they might be the offspring of so ancient Divine Beast that still lived here.
If Rita brought back the eggs, another disaster was sure to follow.
But just as she gave the order, Rita’s figure suddenly appeared across the chasm, at the mouth of a lava cave. When it spotted Flora Bloom, its seventeen tentacles coiled together and launched it forward, springing from its spot and landing easily in an empty space beside Flora Bloom and Lex Cross.
The most ridiculous part was that its seventeen tentacles were coiled around all sorts of things. In their ntal link, it chattered excitedly, "Treasures! Eggs! Master, look, I stole the eggs you like!"
Flora Bloom breathed in the hot, humid air, her body covered in sweat. At the sa ti, a chill ran down her spine.
Because as Rita crawled over to her, two pairs of fierce, yellow eyes materialized above the lava pool, staring as if breathing fire at the treasures in Rita’s tentacles.
To be precise, they were staring at the two eggs.
’That’s it, we’re toast! The rightful owners are here!’
"Monkey Two! Monkey Three! If you ever dare to trick a new partner into stealing eggs again, I’ll beat you black and blue!"
The two pairs of eyes in the sky did not look like they belonged to soone you could reason with.
SKREEE! A deafening cry shook the air, leaving Flora Bloom and Lex Cross dizzy and disoriented.
"They actually ca to Earth!"
Lex Cross’s words piqued Flora Bloom’s curiosity. "What are they? Are they strong?"
"This shouldn’t be possible! Earth has extrely powerful laws that suppress the strength of any expert who descends here beyond a certain realm. The stronger you are, the more you’re suppressed. It makes no sense that they can still manifest their true forms!"
"Flora, in a mont, have the Great Crow carry you away. Don’t look back. Just get as far away as you can!"
Flora Bloom had never seen such a grave expression on Lex Cross’s face. She had a feeling they had gotten into real trouble this ti.
"I’m not leaving!"
"You have to go! Leave imdiately!"
In the blink of an eye, the eyes in the sky rapidly approached them, revealing bodies covered in feathers like thunder and snow.
"I was wondering who would dare steal the offspring of my Thundersnow Clan. So it was Lord Lex Cross!" The voice clearly belonged to the male of the two birds. The female bird beside him glared with her huge yellow eyes, as if ready to attack at any mont.
"The bird can talk?" Flora Bloom looked incredulously at the giant, pale-blue-feathered bird that had revealed its true form behind them. Its plumage was lush, its head was crowned with a crest, and its posture was majestic. Its long tail feathers swayed gently in the heat rising from the lava below.
"Thunderbird, my new pet is ignorant and offended your offspring. I will return them to you!"
"You’ve offended my clan’s offspring. How could we let you go so easily? By nourishing our young with the blood of the Cross family’s future War God, they will surely inherit a sliver of the War God’s will!"
The blue-feathered giant bird in the air suddenly crackled with electricity. The energy was similar to Lex Cross’s, yet different in many ways. Lex’s Thunder Ability was explosive, while this creature’s Thunder Elent energy was a lightning-like yellow.
Seeing that a battle was about to break out, Flora Bloom noticed Lex Cross’s body beginning to gather that mysterious black energy again. However, the energy surrounding him was much weaker than before, and his face was even paler.
"Wait!" She grabbed Lex Cross’s hand, signaling him to hold on.
Flora Bloom suddenly shouted up at the sky, "Hey, you Thunder Elent bird, are you sure you’ve got this right?"
The Thunderbird paused its angry glare in midair. "Human, what else do you have to say?"
"Are all the birds of your Thundersnow Clan from the Thunder Elent?"
Hearing Flora Bloom’s question, the Thunderbird puffed out its chest and said proudly, "Naturally! We of the Thunderbird clan are born to embody the will of thunder. Our entire clan is of the Thunder Elent! We are the strongest combat clan among the eight great Star Nations of the outer universe! The geniuses of my clan even awaken dual Thunder-Snow elents. They will surely conquer all in the future and beco the number one family in the universe!"
"Well, that’s strange!"
"If your entire clan is of the Thunder Elent, then the blue egg might be yours. But this red one is clearly a Fire Elent Energy egg. Are you telling that’s your offspring?"
"Uh... this?"
"Oh, I get it. Did you cheat on her?" As Flora Bloom spoke, she kept her eyes on the female bird’s expression.
"Are there any Fire Elent bird clans among the eight great Star Nations of the outer universe?" Flora Bloom created a water-shield bubble to prevent them from being overheard and whispered to Lex Cross.
Lex Cross smiled knowingly, imdiately understanding Flora Bloom’s plan. "The Fla Clan. All of them are natural beauties, mostly females."
Flora Bloom and Lex Cross exchanged a look of mutual understanding.
"It seems you haven’t heard, have you? A mber of the Fla Clan entrusted Lord Lex Cross to co here and retrieve her bloodline from you. It’s just that the two eggs were together, and my ignorant little pet grabbed them both."
The mont the female bird heard the words "Fla Clan," her huge yellow eyes snapped toward the male bird beside her. The aura erupting from her body was more than ten tis more explosive than before.
"I knew it! I was suspicious when you brought this egg back all those years ago! You said it was the child of an old friend entrusted to your care! I bet it’s your offspring with that young lady from the Fla Clan! That’s why you’d risk being suppressed by the laws of this place and cross the sea to bring it back!"

Flora Bloom and Lex Cross were left speechless on the sidelines. Truly, jealousy was the sa in any female, human or otherwise. Once it flared up, they couldn’t distinguish friend from foe, nor did they care about the ti or place.
At this mont, the lightning surging from the female bird’s body was even more powerful than the male’s.
"Snow! It’s really not like that! Listen to ! They’re tricking you!"
"Tricking ? Although our clan is hostile to Lord Lex Cross’s Star Nation, everyone knows he’s a god of war who has fought countless campaigns. How could a man like that lie? I don’t believe for a second that he’s a liar!"
As she spoke, a bolt of lightning engulfed the male bird’s entire body, blasting his tail feathers so that they stood on end. He had completely lost his forr majestic elegance.
"Humans!" Zapped by the female bird, the male’s eyes grew even more ferocious. "I’ll kill you!"
