The expressions on everyone's faces shifted dramatically.

The gale unleashed by the Azure Profound Dove possessed power comparable to a full-force attack from a peak divine transformation stage cultivator wielding a low-grade spirit treasure.

Moreover, the gale blanketed the sky and earth, making it even more formidable than an ordinary low-grade spirit treasure.

Chi Pei's brow furrowed deeply as he glared at the surging gale and its master, the Azure Profound Dove. A surge of indescribable resentnt and frustration welled up within him.

Just as he was about to slay the Blood-Eyed Divine Ape, the Azure Profound Dove had suddenly intervened.

Earlier, when he had seen the Azure Profound Dove suddenly appear and attack the Blood-Eyed Divine Ape, he had been frantic with worry, fearing the ape would fall into the dove's clutches.

Yet in an instant, the Blood-Eyed Divine Ape had sohow persuaded the Azure Profound Dove to turn its attack against them. Chi Pei's anxiety swiftly transford into shock and fury.

With a ntal command, a vast expanse of the Blood Sea erupted from beneath his feet, coalescing into a hundred-zhang-tall Blood Wall that shielded the group.

Boom!

The gale slamd into the Blood Wall.

The Blood Wall churned violently, teetering on the brink of collapse.

At that very mont, another thunderous roar echoed through the air.

The Blood-Eyed Divine Ape had abandoned its retreat, turning back to launch a counterattack, its fist crashing into the Blood Wall.

Under the combined assault of two demon beasts with Divine Beast bloodlines, the Blood Wall shattered with a thunderous roar, transforming into a torrential downpour of crimson rain.

The group tensed as the Blood Wall crumbled.

Their five-person alliance had cornered the Blood-Eyed Divine Ape, nearly killing it. However, they had paid a heavy price, their spiritual power severely depleted. Moreover, Tang Gui and Sang Bu's Natal Magic Treasures were damaged and temporarily unusable, drastically reducing their combat capabilities.

Now, among the five, only Chi Pei posed a genuine threat to the Azure Profound Dove.

"Escape!"

Chi Pei acted decisively, showing no hesitation in abandoning the Blood-Eyed Divine Ape's eyes, which had been within reach. With a thunderous roar, he turned and fled.

Following his lead, the others imdiately followed suit, turning to flee as well.

However, the group's varying cultivation levels and combat prowess were instantly laid bare.

Though Chi Pei was only at the late divine transformation stage, his escape speed rivaled that of Tang Gui, who was at the peak divine transformation stage. As the first to flee, Chi Pei took the lead.

Tang Gui followed closely behind.

Sang Bu trailed behind Tang Gui.

Shi Man and Qi Luo, with their significantly slower speeds, brought up the rear.

Qi Luo glared at Chi Pei's retreating figure, cursing under her breath: n are so fickle and heartless!

In bed, they're all sweet talk and tender whispers. But when life and death are on the line, they only care about saving their own skin.

Serves you right for being poisoned by the Red Dust Fragrance!

Qi Luo slightly adjusted her course, darting diagonally forward to the left.

Following Chi Pei would only delay the two demon beasts, making her a sacrificial pawn in his desperate escape.

Shi Man, thinking along the sa lines, veered diagonally forward to the right.

She had barely flown a few miles when a look of surprise lit up her face.

The two demon beasts weren't pursuing her at all.

Judging by the distant commotion, they were chasing after Chi Pei and the others.

Shi Man couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

However, she remained vigilant, continuing her escape at full speed.

Suddenly, a figure materialized ahead of her.

It was none other than Ye Hua!

She now realized that she hadn't seen Ye Hua since Chi Pei had shouted, "Run!"

"Ye Hua, you're quite the quick thinker, escaping ahead of us," Shi Man said with a hint of mockery.

Unlike Shi Man, who fled with all her might, Song Wen remained rooted to the spot.

He had arrived here first, initially to avoid the two demon beasts. But he also wanted to secretly tail Chi Pei, waiting for the right mont to strike. By listening to the sonic booms created by Chi Pei's desperate escape, he could determine the direction of his flight.

When he realized the two demon beasts were pursuing Chi Pei, his confidence surged. Tracking the massive creatures would be far easier than tracking Chi Pei.

Ignoring Shi Man completely, Song Wen focused intently on the distant sounds.

However, Shi Man's fury ignited when "Ye Hua" dared to disregard her. She assud Song Wen's arrogance stemd from Chi Pei's earlier promise to make him his personal attendant after this mission. This, she believed, had emboldened Song Wen, making him fearless and presumptuous.

"Ye Hua, how dare you disrespect this elder! You're courting death!"

As she spoke, Shi Man closed the distance to within a few ters of Song Wen. Raising her right hand, she struck out, intending to teach this insolent youth a lesson.

Song Wen's expression turned icy, his gaze freezing as he glared at Shi Man.

Shi Man's heart clenched.

Ye Hua's gaze felt like he was looking at a dead woman.

Though he was rely a Nascent Soul Stage cultivator, the chilling intent and murderous aura in his eyes sent a bone-deep chill through her, filling her with inexplicable dread.

Shi Man couldn't pinpoint the source of this fear, but she instinctively lowered her hand and veered away from Song Wen.

"The one seeking death is you!" Song Wen sneered, a long spear materializing in his hand as he swept it toward Shi Man.

Sensing the sudden surge of power from Song Wen, Shi Man's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Ye Hua, you're actually a Divine Transformation Stage cultivator!"

Realizing she couldn't evade the spear, Shi Man summoned her flying sword to et the attack.

A deafening clang reverberated as spear and sword clashed.

The flying sword let out a mournful wail before being sent hurtling away.

Yet Song Wen's spear retained its lingering force, continuing its sweeping strike toward Shi Man.

Her face contorted in terror. She was no match for him, even in a single exchange.

"Ye Hua, you can't kill ..."

Before she could finish, Song Wen's spear struck her waist.

In an instant, Shi Man's entire body exploded into a cloud of Blood Mist that dissipated into the air.

Her divine soul materialized, its gaze darting frantically around. Discovering that her nascent soul had also been shattered by the spear, it sank into utter despair.

"Ye Hua, if you destroy my divine soul, Young Master Chi Pei, Veiled Moon Hall, and the Divine Blood Gate will never forgive you!" Shi Man declared, her voice trembling with fear despite her fierce words, hoping to deter Song Wen and preserve her soul.

"The Divine Blood Gate recruits practitioners of the Longevity Art rely to devour your life force and prolong their own lifespans," Song Wen sneered. "Do you truly believe you're soone of such great importance?"

"No! This can't be! The Divine Blood Gate will surely avenge !" Shi Man shrieked hysterically.

But as soon as the words left her lips, her expression twisted into shock.

Beneath Song Wen's feet, a crimson tide surged forth, engulfing the surrounding Blood Mist.

The scene was eerily familiar.

Just monts ago, Chi Pei had unleashed the sa technique—his Natal Magic Treasure. According to Chi Pei, this treasure was unique to the Divine Blood Gate, reserved only for core disciples.

Could it be that "Ye Hua" was also a mber of the Divine Blood Gate?

And a core disciple at that!

Could everything he had said be true?

The mont these thoughts flashed through Shi Man's mind, the Blood Sea swallowed her divine soul whole.

Song Wen pocketed a Storage Ring, then vanished in a swirl of Blood Mist, leaving no trace behind.
