At the foot of a mountain shrouded in pitch-black Primordial Qi, the Nether Fox crouched over the corpse of a low-tier void beast, tearing into its flesh with ravenous hunger.

Song Wen had been in the Primordial Qi Death Zone for several days, yet he had found no trace of the Divine Blood Gate disciples. He had, however, slain over a dozen void fiends, all of them fifth-tier or lower.

Whether it was because the void fiends’ bodies and souls were one, their corpses rapidly deteriorated after death, much like human corpses decaying.

This process was swift, taking only two or three days for all spiritual essence to dissipate, leaving no trace in the vast Primordial Qi.

As a result, Song Wen couldn’t preserve the void fiend corpses as blood food for the Nether Fox, as he would with ordinary demon beasts.

While consuming void fiend corpses enhanced the Nether Fox’s strength, the absorption and digestion process required ti.

Therefore, Song Wen only fed the Nether Fox fifth-tier void fiend corpses. The rest he captured alive, forced into void form, and devoured with his Sea of Consciousness Black Hole.

"Ugh—"

The Nether Fox suddenly stopped eating, letting out a strange, abrupt sound.

It raised its right hind paw and rubbed its swollen, hardened belly.

Gazing at the mangled corpse of the void fiend on the ground, the Nether Fox’s crimson tongue licked its sharp fangs with lingering satisfaction, its eyes gleaming with avarice.

"Nether Fox, enough is enough," Song Wen said, kicking the fox’s rear.

"Master, I can still eat," the Nether Fox insisted stubbornly.

"Careful you don’t eat yourself to death!" Song Wen warned.

"Burp... Fine," the Nether Fox relented, its gaze lingering on the corpse with regret.

"Master, two human cultivators have appeared approximately ten thousand miles southwest," the shadow void suddenly announced.

"What’s their cultivation level?" Song Wen asked urgently.

"Both are Divine Transformation Stage cultivators," the shadow void replied.

Song Wen scooped up the Nether Fox, his figure flickering as he vanished from the cave.

Guided by the shadow void, the two cultivators soon entered the range of Song Wen’s divine sense.

He imdiately confird they were corpse cultivators practicing the Corpse King Blood Refinent Art—undoubtedly mbers of the Divine Blood Gate.

However, their condition was peculiar.

It wasn’t that they were severely injured, but rather that their corpse qi had spiraled out of control, surging wildly within their bodies. This caused grotesque bulges to erupt beneath their ashen skin, darting erratically across their bodies.

The two cultivators gritted their teeth, their faces contorted in agony as they fled northward at full speed.

"These two seem to have encountered cultivation problems, showing signs of corpse qi backlash. But how could cultivators at the Divine Transformation Stage so easily suffer a qi deviation? Could it be they only recently switched to the Corpse Path Art?"

Song Wen pondered these questions as he silently followed the pair, careful not to alert them.

The two cultivators continued their journey, eventually exiting the Primordial Qi Death Zone and traveling over fifty thousand kiloters to a village nestled among towering mountains.

The village was densely populated, housing tens of thousands of residents.

The pair landed directly on a high mountain adjacent to the village.

The mountain was majestic, its upper half shrouded in mist.

Midway up the slope stood an ancient temple, housing a solemn divine statue where villagers gathered to worship.

The two corpse cultivators silently landed in the forest beside the temple, each holding a blood-red token. They slipped into the mist without disturbing the devout mortals offering their prayers.

After entering the mist, the corpse cultivators followed a narrow path that wound its way to the mountain’s summit.

The summit was flat and expansive, stretching over five kiloters in diater, as if cleaved by a single sword strike.

Several black stone buildings stood on the plateau.

The pair entered one of these structures, where a massive, hundred-ter-wide pool filled with crimson blood dominated the center of the room.

A naked male cultivator sat waist-deep in fresh blood, only his upper body visible.

His features were identical to the divine statue in the mountain peak’s temple.

He had clearly sensed the arrival of the two corpse cultivators long ago, yet he didn’t even open his eyes to acknowledge them. His voice was cold as he spoke.

"Why have you left the Primordial Qi Death Zone to co here?"

"Lord Fuliang, we have lingered too long in the Primordial Qi Death Zone. Our bodies have been corroded by the Primordial Qi, causing our spiritual power to flow sluggishly. We were forced to temporarily withdraw," one of the Divine Transformation Stage cultivators replied, his expression tinged with fear.

The man addressed as "Fuliang" abruptly opened his eyes, which glowed with an eerie crimson light.

"Hmph! You cultivate the Corpse King Blood Refinent Art. You’ve only been in the Primordial Qi Death Zone for less than half a month. How could you possibly be corroded by the Primordial Qi so quickly?"

Thump! Thump! The two cultivators knelt on the ground. "Great Master, we swear this is not due to negligence on our part. We are still novices in the Corpse Path Art, yet to grasp its true essence. The Primordial Qi’s interference has made it impossible to circulate our spiritual power freely."

A flash of murderous intent flickered in Fuliang’s eyes, but for so reason, it vanished as quickly as it appeared.

"Go kill all the mortals in the village and bring their corpses to the mountain peak. I will use their bodies to help you comprehend the Corpse King Blood Refinent Art."

"Thank you, Master."

The two cultivators hastily rose and departed from the mountain peak, arriving above the village.

Corpse qi surged from their bodies, engulfing the village below.

Instantly, n, won, and children alike were flooded with corpse qi, collapsing to the ground in agony, their eyes wide in death.

The corpses, swept up by the corpse qi, floated toward the towering mountain where Fuliang resided.

With all the mortals in the village dead, Fuliang saw no further need for concealnt. He dispersed the Mist shrouding the mountain, revealing its peak.

Standing mid-air above the summit, Fuliang waved his hand, summoning a bronze cauldron that landed heavily on the ground.

The floating corpses began to fall into the cauldron one by one.

Though the cauldron was only thirty ters in diater, it seed endlessly capacious.

As each corpse sank into the cauldron’s layer of black qi, it vanished without a trace.

With each corpse that fell into the cauldron, the black qi gradually transford into a crimson hue.

"You two! Enter the cauldron at once!" Fuliang roared after all the corpses had been swallowed by the cauldron.

The two Divine Transformation Stage cultivators imdiately leaped into the cauldron. Following Fuliang’s instructions, they sat cross-legged and began circulating their qi to regulate their breathing.

Their figures flickered in and out of sight within the Blood Qi, and the unstable corpse qi within them gradually dissipated.

Over four thousand kiloters away, Song Wen learned of the massacre in the village from Shadow Void, but he refrained from hasty action.

According to Shadow Void, the mountain was protected by a defensive formation, and Fuliang, a late-stage Void Refinent cultivator, personally controlled it. Breaking through such a formation would be no easy task.

It would be best to wait for Fuliang to erge from the formation himself.
