The poison used by Hu Guang was called "He Chun San," a type of poison he had developed himself.

He Chun San's formula, finished product, and raw materials were all contained in Hu Guang's storage ring.

After Song Wen devoured his soul and essence blood, he stored Hu Guang's corpse in the storage ring.

At that mont, noisy footsteps could be heard outside.

The sounds of the Sacred Gu killing the thirteen second-tier Lizardn had startled the other Lizardn.

These first-tier Lizardn, upon seeing the strongest thirteen mbers of their clan all dead, fell into a brief state of panic.

After a tumultuous din of noise and chattering, the Lizardn gradually accepted the fact that their powerful brethren had perished. They didn't know which Lizardman took the lead, but they began to fight over the bodies of their fallen kin.

Inside the stone house, Song Wen, perceiving all this with his spiritual sense, shook his head.

Lizardn were a group of low-intelligence beasts.

They had a powerful, humanoid body but lacked true wisdom.

Song Wen raised his hand and released a stream of spiritual energy, creating an opening in the roof before leaping out silently, leaving the Lizardman settlent unnoticed by those fighting for food.

...

In the vast yellow sand, a blue lake dotted the landscape, resembling a drop in the ocean.

The area of the lake was not large, about ten miles square.

The lake water was deep blue and clear, shimring in the sunlight.

Surrounding the lake were green trees and lush grass, reflecting a vibrant vitality.

A strong spiritual energy wafted within the oasis.

Strangely, the spiritual energy did not disperse beyond the oasis.

However, hidden behind this beautiful oasis lay a deadly danger.

In the lake dwelled water-based monsters, while terrestrial beasts hid within the forests, and earth-based beasts burrowed beneath the soil, making for a perilous environnt filled with threats.

At the edge of the oasis, there was a settlent of Lizardn.

At that ti, a great battle was erupting within the settlent.

The two sides of the battle were the Lizardn and sandworms.

The Lizardn were at a clear disadvantage.

Sandworms were a type of communal monster that lived beneath the yellow sand.

The sandworms involved in the battle varied in size, from the thickness of a human waist to that of a water barrel.

Dozens of sandworms were besieging the Lizardn, with nearly half being second-tier in strength, while the others were all at the late first-tier.

The sandworms erged from the yellow sand, swinging their thick, long bodies, with long tongues extending from their heads.

The tips of their long tongues were covered in sharp teeth.

The sandworms were cunning, targeting only those Lizardn weaker than themselves.

Whether strong or recently hatched, Lizardn had little chance of escaping the clutches of the sandworms. Once entangled by a sandworm's tongue, they were quickly swallowed whole.

When facing a powerful opponent, sandworms retreated back into the yellow sand, disappearing from sight.

The Lizardman settlent was a scene of devastation, with holes dug everywhere by the sandworms.

Among the Lizardn, there were over thirty who had reached second-tier strength, including several at the peak of the second tier.

Although these Lizardn were powerful, they were overwheld by the nurous sandworms attacking them and were unable to organize an effective defense.

The number of Lizardn was rapidly diminishing, visibly decreasing to the naked eye.

Those powerful Lizardn, seeing they could not hold their ground and feeling a sense of retreat, fled in various directions.

The sandworms seed to harbor a deep hatred for the Lizardn, relentlessly pursuing them.

Groups of three to five sandworms hunted down a single Lizardman, and after a successful kill, they moved on to chase down other Lizardn.

Hiding ten miles away, behind a sand dune, Song Wen observed all of this with his spiritual

sense.

His spiritual sense could extend to a radius of four miles, and with the help of the Sacred Gu, he could perceive up to sixteen miles, nearly matching a mid-stage Golden Core cultivator.

He noticed a peak second-tier female Lizardman fleeing in his direction.

When the female Lizardman was still two miles away from Song Wen, the yellow sand behind her suddenly erupted, and a sandworm as thick as a water barrel shot out from underground.

The sandworm wriggled its thick, long body, extending its long tongue like a giant whip, ready to strike at the Lizardman.

The Lizardman leaped forward with all its strength, barely dodging the long tongue.

With this leap, it jumped several hundred feet.

Just as the Lizardman landed, the yellow sand beneath its feet surged.

Below, another sandworm was lurking, intending to swallow the Lizardman along with the

sand.

The Lizardman's thick, solid feet stomped down with great force.

The trendous power generated a shockwave across the yellow sand, which then

transmitted underground to the sandworm.

The sandworm's upward rush suddenly slowed.

Taking advantage of this, the Lizardman leaped again.

However, after jumping several hundred feet, despite its brute strength, the Lizardman could

not fly and landed back on the ground.

Just as it was about to touch down, a sandworm lay in wait, opening its gaping mouth, eager

for the Lizardman to walk into its trap.

The two sandworms from earlier again drilled up through the sand, quickly surging toward

the place where the Lizardman was about to land.

Seeing the Lizardman about to fall into the encirclent of three sandworms, at that

mont,

a cold flash of light shot out.

It slashed at the sandworm lying in wait.

The sandworm's long tongue flicked, attempting to whip away the cold flash.

The cold flash was the Soul Cleaving Blade, an exquisite spiritual weapon with an incredibly

sharp blade.

Though the sandworm's long tongue was tough and thick, it appeared sowhat fragile

under the assault of the Soul Cleaving Blade.

The blade pierced through the long tongue, then erged from the other side.

Black liquid splattered into the air.

The sandworm, in pain, let out a howl that conveyed its anger. It withdrew its long tongue

and quickly retreated underground.

At that mont, the other two sandworms arrived, burrowing out from the sand like two

dragons vying for a pearl, each spitting out long tongues to ensnare the Lizardman as it landed.

In midair, at an unknown ti, a black ghostly figure appeared, towering a foot high.

The ghost held a massive black sword and plumted rapidly from above.

With fifty feet remaining to the ground, the ghost raised its long sword high and swung

downwards.

A ten-foot-long black sword energy shot forth from the blade, slicing through the two

sandworms below.

Feeling the threat of death, the two sandworms imdiately abandoned the Lizardman they

were about to eat, each retracting their bodies and diving back into the yellow sand.

"Pfft!"

The black sword energy struck the sand,

creating a deep trench several feet deep and dozens of feet long.

Yellow sand flew into the air, and the sand and gravel flowed.

The trench quickly filled back in.

The Lizardman, inexplicably saved, regained its senses and continued to flee.

Just as it escaped several dozen feet, the ghostly king descended from the sky, landing

directly in front of it.

With the massive sword held aloft, the tip pointed threateningly at the Lizardman.

The female Lizardman suddenly felt an imnse pressure, as if a mountain were descending

upon her.

The innate survival instinct of living beings made her stop in her tracks.

She knew well that the ghostly king was not sothing she could contend with.

However, with her low intelligence, she found it hard to comprehend why this ghostly being

had just saved her, yet now blocked her path.

Song Wen rode his sword, hovering ten feet away from the female Lizardman.

He pointed at the Lizardman, then at himself.

Then, he waved his hand, signaling for the Lizardman to follow him.

Afterward, he turned and slowly flew away on his sword.

Flying out more than ten feet, he saw the Lizardman hadn't followed.

With a fierce expression, Song Wen made a gesture as if cutting his throat.

The female Lizardman stared blankly at Song Wen, then glanced at the ghostly king beside

her, before ultimately following behind Song Wen.
