"Before a fellow Daoist like you, how could I presu to call myself the ’foremost cultivator’?" Xuan Chengzi said humbly.

Song Wen replied, "Fellow Daoist, what are your plans for the remaining Demon Race forces in the Eastern and Northern Regions?"

"We must eradicate them completely," Xuan Chengzi declared.

"Exactly what I had in mind!" Song Wen agreed.

"Perhaps our three major powers should divide the task and swiftly eliminate the Demon Race remnants," Xuan Chengzi suggested.

Song Wen narrowed his eyes slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips. Xuan Chengzi’s words indirectly acknowledged Song Wen as the one in control of the Wu Ji Sect.

"This is a matter for the three Human Race powers to decide among yourselves," Song Wen said deliberately, feigning ignorance. "Why seek my opinion?"

Xuan Chengzi chuckled lightly, then amplified his voice with spiritual power, proclaiming loudly, "Demon Lord Yin Shuo and Demon Sovereign Ye Hua have both fallen. Fellow Daoist, as the Wu Ji Sect’s sole remaining Nascent Soul cultivator, you must shoulder the responsibility of leading the sect. Without a Nascent Soul cultivator at its helm, the Wu Ji Sect’s strength would diminish drastically, and its millennia-old foundation could crumble to dust!"

At that mont, Cui Xuanjing conveniently arrived, flying over to join them.

"Fellow Daoist Xuan Chengzi speaks truly!" Cui Xuanjing added. "The position of Demon Lord of the Wu Ji Sect belongs to none other than Ji Yin!"

Their amplified voices echoed across the battlefield, leaving no doubt in the minds of the Wu Ji Sect disciples.

The disciples of the Wu Ji Sect were incredulous. Ji Yin had slain the Demon Lord and Demon Sovereign, only to beco the new Demon Lord himself?

At that mont, a clear, resounding female voice rang out from one of the Wu Ji Sect’s Giant Flying Ships.

"This disciple, Shu Niang, pays homage to Demon Lord Ji Yin!"

Shu Niang knelt on both knees, her forehead pressed against the deck in profound reverence.

Having made nurous enemies in the past, Shu Niang feared that soone might seize the chaos of the impending war between the human and demon races to exact revenge. Since departing from the Wu Ji Sect, she had maintained an exceptionally low profile, mostly hiding in corners of the deck to minimize her presence. Yet she ensured she remained visible enough to deter any clandestine attacks.

When Song Wen suddenly erupted in violence, slaughtering Yin Shuo and Ye Hua, Shu Niang felt as if the sky itself were collapsing. Without Yin Shuo and Ye Hua’s intimidating presence, and without Gou Jun as her patron, she feared she would never make it back to the Wu Ji Sect alive.

But against all expectations, Song Wen returned, not only eliminating Xing Wenyao and Feng Ying but also being nominated by Xuan Chengzi as the new Demon Lord. This rekindled Shu Niang’s hope for survival and, more importantly, offered a chance to climb the path to power.

Inspired by Shu Niang’s example, others quickly followed suit.

"Hail, Demon Lord Ji Yin!"

Thousands of Wu Ji Sect disciples bowed deeply in unison.

"Rise, disciples. Since you call ’Demon Lord,’ it is my duty to ensure your safety. From this day forth, within the sect, strength shall command respect, but even the weak shall find protection. Beyond our borders, those who dare defy the Wu Ji Sect, no matter how distant they flee, shall be hunted down and annihilated!"

Song Wen’s voice was soft, yet it resonated clearly in the ears of every disciple.

The disciples bowed again in unison.

For these mbers of the Wu Ji Sect, the identity of their Demon Lord held little significance.

High-level cultivators needed lower-level disciples to run errands, gather resources, and handle mundane tasks.

Conversely, lower-level disciples relied on high-level cultivators for protection and to deter external threats.

This symbiotic relationship served both parties, each fulfilling their respective needs.

"Congratulations, Demon Lord Ji Yin..."

Six Nascent Soul cultivators stepped forward to offer their congratulations.

Song Wen returned their greetings individually.

Then, Xuan Chengzi spoke up.

"Demon Lord Ji Yin, the defeat of the Demon Race is now certain. The Eastern and Northern Regions of the Inner Sea will undoubtedly revert to Human Race control. Do you have any insights regarding the allocation of these territories?"

Song Wen imdiately understood that Xuan Chengzi was angling to divide the spoils. Instead of answering directly, he countered, "Fellow Daoist Xuan Chengzi, what distribution do you propose?"

Xuan Chengzi pondered for a mont before replying.

"Since the Demon Lord seeks my humble opinion, I shall share my thoughts. The Northern Region originally belonged to the Jing Clan, and now that it has been reclaid, it should naturally be returned to them. With the Xing Clan exterminated, the Eastern Region is now unclaid territory. It should be divided equally among the Liangyi Sect, Wu Ji Sect, Cui Clan, and Jing Clan. What are the Demon Lord’s thoughts on this?"

Song Wen smiled faintly, offering no direct response. Instead, he turned to Cui Xuanjing and asked, "Fellow Daoist Cui, what are your thoughts on this matter?"

Xuan Chengzi’s proposed distribution plan appeared fair on the surface, but in reality, it heavily favored the Liangyi Sect while severely disadvantaging the Wu Ji Sect.

While it was true that the Northern Region had historically belonged to the Jing Clan, the Jing Clan had now beco a subsidiary family of the Liangyi Sect. Returning the Northern Region to the Jing Clan was essentially a covert transfer of the region to the Liangyi Sect’s control.

As for the remaining Eastern Region, it would be divided equally among the four factions, with the Liangyi Sect claiming half of the share.

Moreover, since the Liangyi Sect was based in the Western Region, any territory they gained in the Eastern Region would beco an exclave, making governance extrely inconvenient.

Cui Xuanjing frowned slightly, clearly understanding Xuan Chengzi’s sche. However, knowing that the Cui Clan’s strength was relatively weaker and they lacked the leverage to negotiate with the Liangyi Sect and Wu Ji Sect, he conceded, "I have no objection to returning the Northern Region to the Jing Clan. However, the Jing Clan must not participate in dividing the Eastern Region. Thirty percent of the Eastern Region’s territory bordering the Southern Region shall belong to my Cui Clan."

Song Wen had little interest in expanding the Wu Ji Sect’s territory.

However, both the Cui Clan and the Liangyi Sect had presented their demands. If he conceded entirely, it would be difficult to justify to his disciples. After all, more territory ant more cultivation resources, which, while insignificant to Song Wen himself, were invaluable to ordinary disciples. Moreover, such inaction would undermine his prestige. As the undisputed strongest cultivator in the Chaotic Sea and the victor over the Demon Race, how could he claim no spoils of war?

"It is only right for the Jing Clan to rebuild their family," Song Wen declared. "However, they need not necessarily settle in the Northern Region. They could just as easily reestablish their clan in the Eastern Region. As for the Northern Region lands bordering the Western Region, fifty percent of that territory shall belong to my Wu Ji Sect."

His tone left no room for argunt.

Jing Wuming, who had been eavesdropping on the territorial negotiations, approached the group. Upon hearing Song Wen’s proposal, his face clouded with concern. He turned to Xuan Chengzi with a pleading look, hoping the fellow Daoist would advocate for the Jing Clan’s interests.

Unexpectedly, Xuan Chengzi smiled faintly.

"Very well! Let it be as Demon Lord Ji Yin and Fellow Daoist Cui have proposed. Half of the Northern Region shall belong to the Wu Ji Sect, and the other half to the Jing Clan. The Cui Clan shall claim thirty percent of the Eastern Region, with the remaining seventy percent going to my Liangyi Sect."

Jing Wuming’s expression stiffened, resentnt simring within him. But lacking the strength to object, he remained silent.

With the territorial division settled, Song Wen shifted the topic.

"Fellow Daoists, has anyone noticed where ng Lengyu has gone?"

Xuan Chengzi pointed toward a specific area of Fangzhudao. "When Xing Wenyao died, she fled into Fangzhudao with a group of the Demon Race."

"Thank you," Song Wen said, cupping his fists in acknowledgnt. "Fellow Daoists, the Wu Ji Sect must now pursue this traitor. Farewell."

With that, Song Wen flew toward the Wu Ji Sect’s flagship.

The flagship’s controller was Fang Xian, a male cultivator at the peak of the Golden Core stage.

"Greetings, Demon Lord," Fang Xian said.

"Order all disciples to hunt down ng Lengyu," Song Wen commanded.

"Understood," Fang Xian replied.
