Erza didn't waste a mont. Without hesitation, she began sealing the three carriages into a storage scroll. The process demanded a significant amount of chakra, but it was within her limits—draining, yet manageable.

Once the carriages were secured, the Uzumaki clan mbers began moving forward into the forest. As planned, the children led the way, followed closely by the won. Shanks and Erza took up the rear, ensuring no trace was left behind. As they moved, the two of them carefully erased footprints, disturbed foliage, and any other signs that might reveal their path to potential pursuers.

Only after every possible clue had been wiped clean did they move forward again.

The journey continued in silence for nearly an hour. The dense forest canopy above filtered the light, casting moving shadows on the path. Despite the weight of exhaustion, the group pressed on—step by step—driven by a shared purpose: survival.

Eventually, they ca to a halt.

Before them lay a secluded valley, hidden deep within the forest. It was quiet, untouched, and surrounded by natural cliffs that provided both shelter and concealnt. For the first ti since their flight began, there was a sense of calm.

The children stared in awe, their tired faces lighting up with wonder. The won exchanged glances of quiet relief.

Aiko, one of the won, stepped forward and said with a soft smile, "This is a beautiful place... a perfect place to finally live in peace."

Shanks had visited this valley before during earlier travels with his father, so he wasn't particularly surprised.

Shanks nodded, his gaze sweeping across the secluded valley. "Indeed," he said, his voice steady. "Not only is this place ideal for living, but it's also well hidden. Unless soone is specifically searching for it, they won't stumble upon us."

Everyone murmured in agreent, a quiet sense of relief settling over the group.

Shanks continued, "Now, let's check the cave system. That will be our ho for the foreseeable future."

The caves weren't difficult to locate. From their vantage point, they could see four large openings—two on each side of the valley, carved into the hills that faced one another. A fifth cave sat slightly higher up the left-side hill, elevated above the rest.

One by one, they explored each of the caves. All five were surprisingly spacious, with enough room to comfortably shelter the entire group. The interiors were dry, cool, and deep enough to offer both security and warmth.

After the inspection, Hana turned to the group and said thoughtfully, "I think we can all manage well enough in the lower caves. As for the one on the upper ledge... I believe Shanks should take that one."

The other six won nodded in agreent, echoing her sentint without hesitation.

It wasn't just a matter of practicality—it was a gesture of respect. They all knew that everything they had now was because of Shanks: their safety, their shelter, their survival. If anyone deserved a space of his own, it was him.

Shanks shook his head gently. "There's no need for that. A few of the boys can stay with —there's no reason to create unnecessary congestion."

Miki stepped forward, her tone firm but respectful. "No, Shanks. That won't do. You're our Clan Head now. At the very least, you deserve your own space. One of these caves should be reserved for you alone."

She gestured toward the largest of the four lower caves. "That one is more than big enough for the seven boys to share comfortably. As for us won, we can manage just fine with the three girls in the remaining caves. We'll make it work peacefully."

Gildarts added with enthusiasm, "Yes, Onii-san. We'll be perfectly comfortable in that cave. And once we grow stronger, we'll build new hos ourselves—caves we'll create with our own hands."

The other boys nodded eagerly, voices rising in unity. "Gildarts is right! We'll do it together!"

Shanks let out a soft sigh, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Their spirit touched him deeply. "Alright," he said finally, "I won't reject the love and trust you're all giving . I'll take the upper cave for myself."

He stood straighter, his voice gaining weight and purpose. "And now that you've chosen as your Clan Head, I accept that responsibility. I swear to all of you—one day, I will lead us out of hiding. I'll take us back to the Land of Whirlpools, and together, we'll rebuild Uzushiogakure."

A quiet, resolute silence fell over the group. In that mont, the scattered survivors of the Uzumaki Clan weren't just hiding refugees—they were a family with a leader and a future.

All the children, both girls and boys, raised their voices in unison. "Yes! We definitely will!"

The won smiled and nodded in agreent, though many of them couldn't fully share the children's optimism. Deep down, they knew the harsh truth: the once-mighty Uzumaki Clan had been forced to flee from the Land of Whirlpools just to survive. Rebuilding a hidden village with only eighteen people—children and a handful of won—felt like a dream too far-fetched to grasp.

Most of the won didn't possess strong ninja abilities; only two among them could perform even basic ninjutsu, barely on the level of average Genin. They understood their limitations. Still, they kept their doubts hidden, unwilling to cast a shadow on Shanks's resolve or the children's hope.

But Shanks, with his Observation Haki, could sense their unspoken feelings. He didn't call attention to them. He understood their fear—but he also believed in himself, and in the mysterious 'System' that had guided him this far. With its help, he was certain he could grow strong enough to reclaim what had been lost. He would make the impossible possible.

After the cheers subsided, Aiko stepped forward with a warm smile. "Alright, Clan Head. Erza. You've both worked so hard. Please go get so rest. In the anti, we'll clean out these caves and start making this place livable."

Shanks said gently, "You don't need to call Clan Head, Aunt Aiko. You all can just call by my na, like before."

Miki shook her head firmly. "No, that won't do. You've officially accepted your role as our Clan Head now, and we must show the proper respect. The customs and etiquette of our clan shouldn't be lost."

Shanks let out a quiet sigh. He understood that their minds were made up. They weren't going to treat him as just another mber anymore. So, with a resigned nod, he turned and walked toward the small stream that ran through the valley. Finding a flat rock near the water's edge, he sat down, letting the calming sound of flowing water ease his mind.

Erza didn't follow. She had chosen to stay behind and help the others clean out the caves.
