Chapter 1391: Chapter 76: Bursting with Evil (Extra for Alliance Hierarch Bili8个牙露, 3/7)

You yourself, the you in your friends’ eyes, the you in your enemies’ eyes, and the you in people’s mouths.

Sotis they are four entirely different people.

Strangely, Jiang Wang did not feel anger in his heart.

He listened to the story of the “Jiang Wang” with an endless record of sins, as if hearing about sothing entirely unrelated, hearing about a completely unfamiliar person.

Whether that person was evil or good, whether people loved him or hated him.

Jiang Wang observed himself in such a detached manner—through the perspective molded by Zhuang Gaoxian, Du Ruhui, and others.

This perspective felt fresh and compelling.

The tiline was clear, and the story’s plot interconnected seamlessly. The villain from the mouth of the storyteller was so vividly portrayed that it stirred indignation among the listeners, making them wish they could spit on his face, strip his skin, and end his life.

Yet Jiang Wang inexplicably thought—

A person like this could truly exist.

He uses any ans necessary, committing atrocities. Everything is solely for the purpose of becoming stronger—deceiving gods and ghosts, treating everyone as chess pieces. He kills for treasure, wipes out entire clans at the slightest disagreent, and ascends through the corpses of companions.

Betraying friends, killing ntors, treason against the nation.

Living without fear, dying without regret.

Such a person actually has no weaknesses.

Such a person will be imnsely powerful and will grow stronger faster.

Jiang Wang had eaten his fill. He poured himself a cup of wine and slowly drank it.

After all, a small country was still a small country, and this tavern was only diocre. Despite spending considerable silver, the wine that slid down his throat still held a trace of bitterness.

Bitter wine burns like fire as it enters the throat.

He drank three cups slowly, then rose and walked outside.

The chatter among the tavern’s patrons remained lively. After all, the downfall of an unparalleled genius was an unusual topic. Everyone could step on the matter to display their wisdom.

Maybe they themselves were mundane, maybe they had achieved nothing, maybe so of them hadn’t even reached the Transcendent realm and were still toiling for a single Channel-opening Pill—it did not stop them from critiquing the strongest Inner Mansion genius of the current age.

Trampling others is the cheapest form of self-satisfaction; shalessness is all you need.

Amid the chatter of the crowd, Jiang Wang calmly walked out of the tavern.

This was the second day after killing those four elite soldiers of the Wiping out Evil Army.

Jiang Wang headed east at first, then feigned a move south. After leaving so traces, he doubled back with the help of Hidden Clothes and truly went east.

He traveled between Guanhe Platform and Longn Academy, reaching the Long River. He directly leapt over the river, entering the Central Region.

Then he adopted his current disguise and continued moving.

Too fast a pace would draw attention, too slow a pace would give Zhao Xuenyang an opportunity.

So he maintained the pace of a wandering Ascending Dragon realm cultivator. Today, he stayed in Zhongshan Country for a al before continuing on.

He slightly adjusted his route again and planned this ti to use the Bian Bridge in the Seventh Town of the Nine Towns of the Long River to cross to the south bank, heading toward Sumr Country.

Of course, he wouldn’t reach Sumr Country, whose desire to eliminate him was no weaker than Zhuang Country’s.

Moving in that direction was a deliberate consideration; it was a choice Jiang Wang could never make under normal circumstances.

He would stop before approaching Sumr Country and then turn back to the north bank at the Chiwen Bridge in the Ninth Town, returning to the Central Region. From there, he would pass through the Hanging Monastery’s territory, heading back to Qi Country.

Chu Country was no longer an option.

At this point in the current age, only Qi Country had the motive and ability to protect him.

Although those passersby had so rit in their claims—that Qi Country’s protection of him could rely be to preserve national dignity—it was precisely because it concerned national interest that it was reliable. For this reason, Qi Country would least want their accusation of him colluding with the Demon Race to be established.

As long as there was a fair platform for him to speak, for deeds he had never committed, and completely fabricated accusations, there was still hope for exoneration!

No matter how convincing a falsehood may appear, it remains a falsehood.

He had already strived to erase traces and create diversions, but he didn’t believe his thods could deceive Zhao Xuenyang for long.

His choice to navigate through the Nine Towns of the Long River was inspired by Yu Beidou’s amulet. According to Zhongxuan Sheng’s descriptions, Yu Beidou evidently foresaw sothing, which prompted him to gift that amulet. Ultimately, the amulet did shield him from so danger. If he t Yu Beidou in the future, he could ask about this.

Jiang Wang opted to cross the Long River via the Nine Bridges to invoke the ancient power of the Nine Towns, aiming to erase any trace Zhao Xuenyang might pursue.

If Zhao Xuenyang possessed divination skills of his own, how could he predict the Nine Bridges of the Long River, or the actions of soone crossing them?

These asures may not succeed, but they were the best thods Jiang Wang could utilize under current circumstances.

It can be said that Jiang Wang always strives to give his utmost effort in any situation.

But in reality, effort does not guarantee success. Sacrifice does not necessarily yield rewards.

So gaps are insurmountable, no matter how much ti is poured into them.

“You’re leaving already?” A voice suddenly asked.

Jiang Wang’s steps toward the exit ca to a halt.

Just ahead, leaning against the doorfra, stood a young man dressed in a Yin-Yang Daoist robe, cradling a wooden sword.

Smiling warmly, he gazed at Jiang Wang.

It was none other than Zhao Xuenyang, whom Jiang Wang had already encountered once before!

He had sohow tracked him down silently!

How had he followed him? When had he arrived?

None of that mattered anymore.

Reason told Jiang Wang that the ga of pursuit and evasion had concluded.

The plans for crossing Long River’s Nine Towns twice had ended before they began.

Yet at this mont, Jiang Wang simply said, “Not really to my taste.”

The tavern’s clamor suddenly ceased.

The patrons, who monts ago had been passionately discussing—this one boasting, “If I t Jiang Wang, the demon traitor, I’d do this and that,” and that one declaring, “I’d let Jiang Wang witness my skills”—

However, as the man leaving and the man at the door locked eyes.

Their own words died in their throats.

A tangible pressure filled the air, making even these outsiders feel as though the very atmosphere had solidified.

Thus, they fell silent.

They did not know who these two n were, where they’d co from, or what they intended to do.

But an instinctive, primal terror quietly crept into their beings.

Half-leaning against the doorway, Zhao Xuenyang looked at Jiang Wang and remarked, “You’ve really surprised . Running in this direction was sothing I didn’t anticipate.”

Jiang Wang unhurriedly removed the short blade at his side and placed it casually on a nearby table.

It was a random purchase along the way, and discarding it caused no distress.

Only then did he pull *Longing* out of his storage box and hold it in his hand.

He perford each motion with ticulous precision.

“What did you think…” Jiang Wang asked, “I would choose instead?”

“I thought it’d be Yun Country. After all, Pavilion Master Ye’s daughter has quite the unusual relationship with you.” Zhao Xuenyang readily admitted his miscalculation. “Longn Academy was a possibility too; the Dragon’s Gate Mountain Master might offer so shelter for his precious daughter’s sake.”

As he spoke, an expression of envy flickered across his face. “You certainly have a way with the ladies!”

“Do I?” Jiang Wang replied flatly, slowly drawing *Longing* from its sheath.

It shimred in his hand like a pool of autumn water.

The sudden appearance of its edge made the entire tavern even quieter.

Only Zhao Xuenyang retained his calm deanor, studying Jiang Wang with curiosity and asking, “How do you manage it? I an, your charm with won.”

“Just act normal and stop posturing,” Jiang Wang said quietly.

“I’ve learned sothing,” Zhao Xuenyang remarked without a hint of offense, grinning as he said, “Co with . Let treat you to sothing more to your taste.”

He exuded an air of complete control.

But Jiang Wang raised his sword and said, “I’m afraid I won’t be able to stomach prison food on Jade Capital Mountain either.”

The once noisy tavern guests now could scarcely breathe!

By this point, how could they not realize that the two n confronting each other before them were none other than the protagonists of the heated rumors—Jiang Wang and Zhao Xuenyang!
