Chapter 1421: Chapter 97: Aftermath

The true words of Ku Jue, spoken before Tianma Plateau, were naturally not limited to reaching only the people here.

“Ku Jue, that rascal, playing it so big?” A coarse voice resounded from the void, “I really don’t understand. Between him and Jiang Wang, wasn’t it supposed to be a one-sided obsession? Do they really have such deep feelings?”

A woman’s voice, however, responded with laughter: “It’s just his topsy-turvy nature. Back then, because of Ku Xing’s death, he nearly caused a complete fallout among the sect. He hasn’t changed in all these years, always acting impulsively without thinking things through.”

The coarse voice seed intrigued: “Ku Xing’s matter, I don’t know much about it. Could you elaborate?”

“If you want the details, you should ask Fu Dongxu privately.” The woman’s voice paused with a hint of amusent, then shifted the topic: “Fu Dongxu, isn’t it ti you handled him?”

“How should I handle it?” Fu Dongxu’s voice countered.

“That’s your problem.” The woman’s tone was noticeably relaxed, like watching a drama unfold.

“Killing him all by myself won’t be easy,” Fu Dongxu’s voice replied. “Could I trouble you to join instead?”

“I don’t have ti for that.” The woman said, “Why not ask General Xian Nankui? Wasn’t he displeased with Ku Jue’s pursuit of my Jingguo geniuses?”

“General Xian wouldn’t have ti either. He’s currently…” Fu Dongxu’s voice chuckled slightly, “Let’s leave it at that. The old monk wants to showcase the deep bond between master and disciple, so let him. After all, I’m in charge of Mirror World Platform now—how could I kill him just for such a trivial matter?”

“Fu Dongxu isn’t acting now because the timing isn’t right. Ku Jue claims to have left the Hanging Monastery, but the monks there clearly still harbor old sentints for him. The importance of the Hanging Monastery in the Eastern Region doesn’t need explaining; killing Ku Jue at this mont would indeed be unwise.” The coarse voice stated, “Let’s observe further and see if Ku Jue oversteps his bounds.”

“Do as you wish; it’s not like I’m the one getting scolded.” The woman’s voice said, “Speaking of which, where has Zhao Xuan Yang been hiding? I hadn’t noticed before—this kid actually has a talent for this. It’s almost pitiful seeing Ku Jue, the old monk, go to heaven and earth searching for him in vain.”

“If you can think of it, then Ku Jue could think of it too.” A trace of satisfaction lingered in Fu Dongxu’s voice. “In any case, his current situation should be fine. The information I left in Qian Tian Mirror has just been accessed recently.”

The coarse voice laughed: “You’re really soone who handles major affairs. Not in touch with anyone!”

“I see now why you’re not rushing to deal with that old monk—it makes sense!” The woman’s voice suddenly realized.

Fu Dongxu chuckled and asked, “What else have you discovered?”

“You’ve already instructed Zhao Xuan Yang to silence soone by leaving a ssage in Qian Tian Mirror, haven’t you?” The woman’s voice asked, “This kind of resolution isn’t exactly honorable. Allowing Ku Jue to continue his pursuit can delay exposure of this information and provide stronger evidence from Zhuang Gaoxian. Furthermore, when forced into a corner, you could bla Ku Jue’s relentless chase as an excuse.”

Fu Dongxu laughed softly: “Truly, there’s nothing that escapes your detection.”

“Don’t patronize with those words!” The woman said, “Between and Qiu Tie, whose interpretation of the truth in your mirror is correct?”

Fu Dongxu said, “What you say is correct, and what Qiu Tie says is also correct. But the key issue is… since Ku Jue has already severed ties with the Hanging Monastery, I can act against him anyti—it’s not sothing to rush.”

It seems… salvation has co.

Although still in a state of extre weakness, at least he could once again sense the existence of his organs.

A certain inexplicable dicinal power flowed slowly within his body, spreading and nourishing vitality.

Death had co so close, and yet at the threshold, it turned away and departed.

Jiang Wang kept his eyes closed, remaining motionless.

Lingering fear still haunted him.

The “dreams” he had experienced during that ti were extraordinarily vivid—impossible to distinguish from reality.

The black-clothed demon tribe he confronted in All-world Desolate Graves alongside Song Wanxi—surely, even in that place, they weren’t ordinary beings. Who could it be? A True Demon, or perhaps… a Heavenly Demon?

Dreams, the arrival of the “Seven Resentnts Demon Skill,” and that single demonic character—all were beyond Jiang Wang’s comprehension.

Was it during the summoning of the Blood Puppet True Demon that traces were detected?

And then followed back, leading them to this Ancient Demon Cave in the mortal realm?

Though the reason for the opposition’s failure to descend in full form remained unclear—whether due to restrictions or differences between True Demons and Song Wanxi’s manifestation as the Blood Puppet True Demon—the implications were clear: Song Wanxi must not be summoned lightly in the future.

The mont of simultaneous brilliance between the Five Mansions did provide a sense of connection through the God Imprint Technique, potentially offering a path to facilitate communication with Song Wanxi, albeit under secure circumstances to avoid pursuit.

However… that wouldn’t be feasible in the short term.

At least with his current cultivation level, it was far from possible.

A faint, alluring fragrance teased his nose, yet Jiang Wang did not stir, maintaining his previous breathing rhythm and continuing his contemplation.

The “Seven Resentnts Demon Skill” itself was undeniably a peerless cultivation technique, yet he had no intention to embrace it. He had witnessed the battlefield of Qi Yang firsthand… What sort of figure was Yang Jiande, the king of Yang Country?

Sharing mutual admiration with Zhongxuan Chuliang, struggling against all odds beside this Overlord Country, Qi Country, Yang Jiande ultimately took a desperate asure—cultivating “Love Dying Desire Blood Demon Skill” in an attempt to break free. And the outco?

Still resulted in defeat and death, the ruin of the kingdom, with nothing fundantally changed.

Jiang Wang certainly aspired to imnse strength, but the power he sought was his own—earned through painstaking cultivation, wholly belonging to him. He desired to grasp it firmly, progressing upward step by step.

He refused to beco a puppet of anything, to grow by selling out his own self.

If I no longer remain myself, then even if all my aspirations co to fruition, whose dreams would those be?

Now devoid of demonic voices and untouched by demonic energy, the terrifying entity had vanished without a trace.

Yet Jiang Wang still couldn’t shake the lingering dread.

In the imasurable distances spanning All-world Desolate Graves, controlling scarce demonic energy to forge a black Demon Spear capable of nearly killing him in a single strike!

Had it not been for the simultaneous brilliance of his Five Mansions or the presence of Cloud Peak Immortal Palace within the Five Mansions Sea, he would have surely perished.

Even still, without the Buddha chant left behind by Master Guan Yan offering a protective shield, his spirit would likely have been destroyed.

What a truly horrifying existence!

To face the temptation of such a powerful Demon Race expert attempting to lure him into falling—it was hard to tell whether he should feel fortunate or cursed!

Jiang Wang carefully pondered his situation.

The fourth Inner Mansion had yet to imprint Instantaneous Dao Arts but had already unlocked the fifth mansion. Fortunately, the developnt of the fourth mansion itself was already flawless; the lack of an imprinted Dao Art was due to the absence of a suitable one, refusing to settle for less.

He could always imprint one later.

Regarding the newly gleaned Red Heart Divine Power, its outward manifestations adhered to immortal standards, with its core essence appearing resistant to external invasion.

This brought to mind Lin Xian at the Yellow River Gathering.

If Lin Xian’s Unrestrained Divine Power represented a flesh body impervious to impedints and constraints, then his Red Heart Divine Power embodied a mind untouched by external forces or wills. In a certain sense, it could be deed “Unrestrained” on the spiritual soul level.

Of course, even identical Divine Skills in the hands of different cultivators might yield entirely disparate effects.

Divine Power Seeds do not arrive in their complete form upon acquisition—they require developnt and exploration.

Jiang Wang was confident that the “Red Heart” Divine Power held further potential waiting to be unlocked.

He shifted his thoughts to Zhao Xuan Yang’s demise—had it already been noticed?

Earlier, he held the belief that remaining in the Ancient Demon Cave was the safest option in consideration of external circumstances.

Though this choice ultimately amounted to a gamble and lacked absolute assurance.

Leaving the Demon Cave prematurely and exposing his movents would undoubtedly lead to disastrous consequences, leaving him no option but to take the risk.

But the inherent dangers of the Ancient Demon Cave itself—he had never anticipated them to be so severe.

Jiang Wang continued his ceaseless train of chaotic thoughts until…

“Still pretending to sleep?” A languid female voice coiled through his ears like a spirit snake.
