Chapter 1556: From 60 subscriptions to 10,000 subscriptions, the innocent cannot prove their innocence.

Part1: Why I want to write this article

A while back, the web novel veteran, Wandering Toad, when answering questions on Zhihu, casually ntioned , giving a little recognition.

Soone tagged to take a look, so I cheerfully read that article.

The unpleasantness was in the comnts section.

I saw a person I didn’t know at all comnt, saying: “I suspect that the book ‘Red Heart’ was faking its ranking.”

In fact, this person doesn’t know at all, hasn’t read ‘Red Heart Tours the Heavens,’ and hasn’t even opened the fan rankings for Red Heart.

This is how he responded to my questioning. He said: “I haven’t read your book, I don’t have ti to flip through it. But on so website, many people say so.”

Many people say so, so he takes it as fact, ready to bring it up anyti, anywhere.

I was really angry at the ti.

But afterward, I thought about it. Why do “many people say so?”

Who is spreading such rumors?

And who is passing on these rumors?

Everything has a source. Or, as many readers have asked, “Did Feeling On Offend soone?”

I’ve actually always known the answer.

I didn’t say anything initially because I felt that writing itself is the most important thing and shouldn’t be distracted by these petty nuisances.

But when I randomly see such a piece of rat dung, it ruins the whole day’s mood.

That day, I was so angry, I really wanted to write an article like this, to sort out the causes and consequences thoroughly, and clearly explain right from wrong.

However, during that ti, I was not in the right state, and it was challenging to update; I couldn’t find the ti to write the article.

Later, I simply thought, forget it, let purity vindicate itself. I speak through my work, I speak through my achievents.

But just the day before yesterday, after ‘Red Heart Tours the Heavens’ achieved the feat of “writing from sixty subscriptions to ten thousand,” soone inexplicably jumped out on Zhihu again and directly comnted that I am a “big faker.”

Since August, ‘Red Heart Tours the Heavens’ has gained an Alliance Hierarch almost every day, including a Silver and one who consecutively reached seven Alliance Hierarchs, yet it’s still hanging at the tail end of the top twenty in the monthly ticket rankings.

And I am actually called a “big faker” by others.

Is your family’s faker using Alliance Hierarchs to boost rankings? And not timing it to coinciding with the four tis the monthly tickets multiplier at the beginning of the month?

Which faker is stupid enough to use the sa amount of money to fake three tis fewer monthly tickets?

Which faker can afford the cost to consistently stay at the forefront of both sales rankings and monthly ticket rankings every month since February?

Who is using their intelligence to doubt my intelligence?

I decided to write this article.

I no longer believe purity can vindicate itself. If you don’t occupy the high ground of public opinion, trolls will, fools will.

Part2: Who I offended.

The cause of the matter was in October 2019, when I had just started serializing ‘Red Heart Tours the Heavens,’ and had just updated to the fifth chapter ‘If You Had Experienced Everything I Have.’

There was a person who, I’m unsure whether to consider as a reader of mine, who asked a question on Zhihu: “How to evaluate the long Xianxia novel ‘Red Heart Tours the Heavens’ serialized by Feeling On at Qidian?”

The question description was — “Judging from the quality of these five chapters, does it have the potential to beco a hit?”

The reason I am not sure whether the person nad “Little Transparent xx” is my reader is that I saw his profile, he liked seven tis, seeming like my reader.

But after he hastily raised such a question, when soone questioned if the issue was self-directed hype by , Feeling On, he said nothing.

He disappeared in the full screen of abuse.

He never explained for a word, nor explained to a word.

And when I was tagged to this question, my first reaction was panic.

There were only three answers to the question at the ti, all praising it excessively.

I quickly wrote an article saying I’m just writing a web novel for the first ti, I don’t dare to claim I can write a hit, I can only be sure I will write with all my heart.

But while I was writing that article…

A large crowd had already rushed in.

[A sentintal piece written by soone with a pretentious cancer, if it gets signed, I’ll accept defeat]

[Elentary school level writing, even my three-year-old son writes better.]

[Such traditionally trained writers who can’t tell a story and only use seemingly gorgeous but essentially vacuous language to deceive are a disaster for writing web novels.]

[Is Feeling On starting to make dirty money?]

There were also those analyzing and mocking word by word, teaching how to use punctuation…

Such examples are countless. (Many of the answers from that ti have since been deleted or modified. So so readers might be quite surprised when they see it now, thinking there aren’t many people being excessive in their language? The fact is, there were seventy to eighty responses at that ti, each one harsher than the last. The more positive responses generally joined gradually later.)

What was the consequence of this event?

The three readers who excessively praised quietly deleted their responses.

A reader comnted to : “Feeling On, I originally thought it was good. But if everyone says so, you probably have many issues, right?”

And I gave up the idea of promoting my novel on Zhihu, henceforth stopping updates on Zhihu. It was almost like abandoning the over two hundred thousand followers I had accumulated over several years of writing on Zhihu.

I did not reply to any attack under that question.

Even if they ran to my article to step on , I just silently blocked them.

At that ti, I had only one thought, I write novels for myself.

I am not trying to prove it to anyone.
