Capítulo 1964: Chapter 50: Unaware of Beyond the Heavens at This Mont_2

Du Ruhui sat alone on his chair, quietly contemplating the various matters of the country, without looking at Lin Zhengren’s back.

He didn’t need to put too much pressure on this person.

Lin Zhengren was a very “perceptive” person. As long as he saw the benefits, he would be sufficiently submissive. His capability was also outstanding, able to handle any task assigned to him appropriately.

As long as you could keep him under control, he was usable and quite handy.

When it ca to trust, comparatively speaking, people like Du Yehu were more reliable. Unfortunately, he was too impulsive; he was a talented general but not fit for leadership.

Thinking along these lines, Du Ruhui couldn’t help but press his forehead.

Lin Zhengren, Du Yehu, Li Jianqiu, Fu Baosong.

These young people each had their own usefulness, but also their respective flaws.

If Zhu Weiwo hadn’t betrayed, there would be no need to worry about Lin Zhengren’s future.

If Dong Ah were still here, he wouldn’t have to bother with these…

Reflecting on this direct confrontation with Zhu Weiwo, Du Ruhui couldn’t help but feel a bit fatigued.

Ti proved that he was indeed not wrong back then; Zhu Weiwo was indeed Zhuang Country’s most outstanding genius, however…

Humans ultimately do not possess eyes that penetrate ti, no matter how profound your wisdom, no matter how much ti you spend pondering, and no matter how well you make the best choice under current circumstances…

When placed within the fragnts of history and asured by ti, it may instead be wrong.

Of course, wrong and right are also just relative concepts.

The whip marks received on Jade Capital Mountain behind him still faintly ached now.

But Du Ruhui only allowed himself a mont to sigh.

After one sigh, he had already erased this exhaustion.

Once again, he was that wise and perceptive State Minister of the Great Zhuang Nation, once again wielding control over these four thousand miles of mountains and rivers.

He stood up, and with a light step, he was already present at a military camp upon setting foot again.

There was no trace of exhaustion or weakness on his face now.

He stood proudly, his dark hair like ink, resisting the passage of ti.

His eyes were deep and authoritative.

But even facing an insignificant guard outside the tent, his tone was gentle: “Go tell Du Yehu, the old man is here to see him. Ask if it’s convenient to go inside.”

The residence granted by the Son of Heaven, Du Yehu almost never went to live in it.

He always lived in the military camp of Nine Rivers Xuanjia, blending with his soldiers.

He rotated through all the border military of Zhuang Country, either on the battlefield or on the road to the battlefield.

Even when recuperating, he insisted on staying away from the comfortable conditions of the Imperial dical Bureau, stubbornly wanting to return to the military camp to live.

Du Ruhui certainly could step into the tent himself, but young n of Du Yehu’s character especially needed respect.

He was willing to give it.

Not long after the guard went inside, Du Yehu ca out wearing a robe haphazardly. Even eting the State Minister, there was little attention to appearance.

“Greetings to the State Minister.” He cupped his hands in salute.

His tone was also gruff.

“Your wounds aren’t healed yet, why are you still coming out to greet? Didn’t I say to wait for to co in?” Du Ruhui scolded with a mix of anger and affection, then glared at the guard: “How did you pass on the ssage?”

Du Yehu patted the guard’s shoulder, signaling him to leave, and said himself: “With the State Minister’s presence, how could I not co out to greet?”

Certainly, there was etiquette.

Although not nearly as polished as Lin Zhengren.

But to Du Ruhui, who was used to witnessing feigned cordiality, it seed sowhat endearing.

Looking at this young man going prematurely gray, the Great Zhuang Nation’s State Minister had a hint of laughter in his voice: “It seems you still harbor resentnt for this old man?”

“I dare not.” Du Yehu muttered lowly.

“Let’s go inside and chat.” Du Ruhui said, not waiting for Du Yehu’s response, lifted the curtain and walked into the military tent.

In the vast military tent, it was empty and barren, with almost no decorations in sight.

A few military books, so wine, a set of armor, nothing else.

It was extrely austere.

Du Yehu followed in silently.

Du Ruhui casually flipped through the military books on the table, discovering many places with illegible scribbled notes. Regardless of the content, which was scarcely comprehendible… at least the attitude was earnest.

“What do you think of Lin Zhengren as a person?” he asked offhandedly.

Du Yehu couldn’t fathom what was in Du Ruhui’s mind nor understand the hidden significance of this question.

But a long ti ago, Duan Li had told him to never attempt to outwit or sche in front of Zhuang Gaoxian and Du Ruhui. Apart from tightly guarding the deepest secrets of your heart, speak and act truthfully in all else.

Do not perform.

So he said: “I don’t like him!”

As Du Ruhui calmly flipped through the military books, he wasn’t surprised by Du Yehu’s answer, rely responding deliberately: “I only asked what you thought of the person, not whether you liked him or not.”

Du Yehu replied with a curt tone that conveyed an unwilling awkwardness: “He has talent.”

“Not bad, you can see others’ strengths.” Du Ruhui nodded in approval, flipped a few more pages, and asked: “Tell , why don’t you like him?”

Du Yehu replied in a muffled voice: “I don’t know which of his words are true and which are false. Always having to guess his intentions but never getting it right. Being with him is exhausting!”

Wrinkles at the corners of Du Ruhui’s eyes deepened, feeling an urge to smile.

But after all, there was the dignity and stance of a State Minister.

So he simply stated sternly: “You are all erging talents of our Zhuang Country, fellow ministers at court, how can you casually say things like disliking soone?”
