Inside one of the training rooms on one of the many levels of the Massive Black Pyramid.

Heavy footsteps could be heard as Katari walked in with an icy expression. Her hands were folded into fists and her footsteps made the loudest noise as if she were the heaviest object in the room.

Behind her, Zabita and Olivia followed obediently. Olivia seed to be genuinely scared as she followed Katari.

Her power over fate was volatile when she was close to Katari, at this point, aning that anything could happen and her power over luck would be very unreliable here.

Zabita on the other hand seed a little troubled but not as much as Olivia. She still walked with her head raised high and her shoulders relaxed.

To say that she didn’t see her mistake would be a lie. But Zabita was always lackadaisical. Why would she stress herself over a mistake that had already happened?

There was no reason for it.

Both Zabita and Olivia wondered why Katari had brought them to this training room after getting rid of the escorting lion kings.

"Congratulations," Katari said, "You’re at the top of the rankings.

You helped His Majesty find a Primordial."

Katari walked deeper into the training room and headed toward a wall while Zabita and Olivia stood in place.

They had felt a little bit of killing intent surge out from Katari. They weren’t sure if it was directed to them or sothing else that she was thinking of.

"That is good," Katari comnted.

She reached the wall where an array of items was hung for display.

This was the training room, any item kept here would usually be ant to assist in combat training.

The wall Katari was standing in front of was used to display weapons of different kinds.

Swords, shields, spears, gauntlets, chains, axes, scythes, daggers, and many more weapons with strange shapes but didn’t have a coherent na.

These weapons were all kept here to be used for combat practice.

What was amazing was the fact that each one of these weapons was made from very valuable tals and had been enchanted with powerful magic runes.

If any of these weapons were dropped into a mortal human civilization, it would cause an uproar.

Any normal human who could get his or her hands on one of these weapons would be pushed to the peak and their Devolution Seeds would malfunction to accommodate more supernatural power.

But in heaven, here in this training room, it was nothing but a simple combat prop.

The lions and lionesses themselves had no need for weapons like these. Very few lions actually rely on external items for their power.

Most, if they were in their humanoid forms, would just conjure the weapons they needed like frost swords, earth spears, or fire whips, which were actually more efficient than these external weapons.

That was why these weapons had to be left here in the training rooms, not because they weren’t valuable, but because the lions just didn’t see a need for them.

It was a good thing that the Gauntlet was an artifact that could replace a limb. If not, if it were a sword or a spear, Jin might have never used it for a long ti and would have abandoned it due to inefficiency.

Katari looked at all the weapons hung on the wall with scrutiny. She was looking for sothing that fit her well and was also very durable.

"Uhm, Katari..." Olivia spoke as she tried to guess what Katari wanted to do.

Katari didn’t answer. Instead, she settled her gaze on one particular staff. She preferred the spear but when she thought about it, she wasn’t seeking to kill anyone so she settled for sothing a little blunt.

The staff was tallic but flexible. It was three ters long, black and silver in color, and had so blue rune markings at the tips.

Katari felt the weight of the staff in her fingers and found it to be satisfactory. She turned around while swinging the staff from left to right.

She held the center of the staff and spun it. The staff twirled srizingly, creating a whooshing sound that caused Olivia and Zabita to flinch.

Zabita’s lazy eyes finally opened wide when she realized that Katari was serious.

"Katari? Why did you bring us here?" Zabita asked.

She didn’t wait for Katari to reply before turning around and grabbing Olivia’s wrist so that they could walk out of the training room.

Only for them to find that the entrance to the training room had disappeared, shrouded by a curtain of warped space.

They were trapped.

"Katari, what’s the aning of this?" Olivia asked, raising her voice in the process. She was genuinely scared of what was coming.

Katari stopped twirling the staff and held it firmly. She slamd the bottom of the staff into the ground and a loud tallic ring echoed across the walls of the training room.

Katari stood there, silent.

She observed the two casually, knowing fully well that there was no way for them to escape.

The silence was loud and only enhanced the fear in the hearts of Zabita and Olivia.

They turned around to see that Katari was just standing there, looking at them. She didn’t do anything, just held her staff while giving them a dead gaze.

The wait was painful.

They knew Katari wanted to do sothing but they didn’t know what it was.

No, they knew what she wanted to do and they knew why she wanted to do it, they just didn’t want to believe it.

After ten minutes, when Olivia and Zabita could not take it anymore and were about to start shouting, Katari moved.

Katari walked toward them slowly, with the staff slightly raised from the ground. Katari narrowed her eyes and her hands squeezed the staff hard.

"Zabita," Katari began, "Your recklessness irks ," She said.

"Do you enjoy annoying His Majesty? Do you enjoy making Kael spend extra ti just to get you out of trouble?

Why can’t you use your common sense?"

Katari shook her head with pity. It was one of the rare tis she expressed serious pity for soone.

She pitied Zabita and Olivia for what she was about to do.

"I’m sorry, we just didn’t think sothing like that would happen," Zabita said as she stepped back.

"Yeah, thank heavens you guys ca to save us. We didn’t think that those traitors would be so blatant..." Zabita was saying.

"That’s the thing," Katari interrupted, "You didn’t think.

Do you guys ever think?

You have beco too reliant on your power over luck that common sense no longer appeals to you.

Never mind."

Katari disappeared.

The next ti she appeared, she was standing in front of Zabita with the staff raised high and a terrifying pressure coming down on her.

"You have made a mistake, and if I let you guys freeze you will continue making these mistakes which will annoy Kael!

It is my duty to show you the error of your ways!"

*BAM!*

The staff descended and Zabita was struck square on her jaw. The force of the hit flew her to the side.

She didn’t stop until she hit the wall, creating a human-shaped dent.

Her tallic jaw was slightly dislocated and her eyes were dazed. One hit had already put her in this situation.

anwhile, Katari slowly turned her head to look at Olivia who was overcharging herself with fortune energy.

Space distorted and a fist buried itself into Olivia’s abdon.

A terrifying shockwave ca out from Olivia’s back, tearing the back of her white dress and exposing her reddening skin.

"You should have known better," Katari said, watching as Olivia stumbled to the ground, holding her belly and vomiting profusely.

"You’ve let her put you in danger many tis.

Imagine if you encountered a danger too large for your fortune to intervene in? You would be dead.

Maybe this is the law of fate or luck giving you a final warning."

Katari then turned away from Olivia. She knew that Olivia was not to bla entirely for it. Zabita was the source of the reckless behavior.

She had to be straightened up.

Space distorted again.

Zabita had regained full consciousness and was trying to pry herself away from the wall when another strike landed on her abdon from the left.

Zabita’s body cleaved a fissure through the tal wall as she was thrown across the training room.

Too fast, just too fast.

Zabita raised her hand and flicked her fingers. Thousands of little needles shot out of her body and rushed toward the last place she sensed Katari.

All the needles hit nothing but empty air.

"You even resist your punishnt, how stupid can you be?" Katari’s voice echoed in Zabita’s ears from behind.

Zabita didn’t have ti or space to react.

The butt of the staff slamd into her back, driving her down into the tal ground and forcing a crater into existence.

"I’m sorry!" Zabita exclaid. All the strikes were really painful and unbearable.

She had already tried to control the staff in Katari’s hand since it was a tal object but not only was Katari’s grip monstrous, the runes on the staff prevented her from enacting much magnetic influence on it.

"No you’re not," Katari said.

She suddenly looked up from what she was doing to see that the curtain of distorted space was being unraveled by an outside entity.
