"Kael, are you sure?" mphis’s voice echoed out in the empty whirlpool of ti.

"Continue!" Kael commanded ruthlessly.

He channeled more Conquering Essence into her body, causing her eyes and injuries to glow with a golden light.

mphis felt her body resisting the ti friction as much as possible.

She wanted to stop, she really did. But she could not anymore. Kael had poured so much Conquering Essence into her that her mind was almost overwheld by the Conqueror’s Intent.

She tried to resist, realizing that Kael’s ruthless nature would not show her an exemption.

But as she thought of resisting, she found herself continuing to row the boat of ti to the past.

One million one hundred thousand years into the past, she had gone far again.

A wave of power flowed out of Kael’s body at this ti, space and ice formulated to clean mphis face and rid her of the blood stains.

Kael was not ignorant of her discomfort, he knew what she was experiencing.

But he was also serious about helping her out. As far as he was concerned, mphis had not yet reached a state where she would absolutely die, she could still go on.

"Are you comprehending anything yet?" Kael asked.

"A little," mphis said through gritted teeth.

"Then it’s not enough. This is the immortal tier that you want, you shouldn’t be comprehending, perhaps, you should be losing yourself to the power of ti itself.

Let’s go!"

Kael fired on and mphis pushed forth.

One million five hundred thousand years into the past.

mphis’s body began to tremble terribly as she started aging faster again. This ti, she was very much aware of what was happening to her.

But by now, she was also starting to feel sothing different than what she had felt before.

She was starting to receive an epiphany of what must be done.

Yes, mphis thought as a lost sorrowful smile appeared on her face.

She knew what was missing.

She was trying to be immortal, yes. But she was rely trying to comprehend.

Was it her mind that was going to be immortal? Or her whole body?

That she was only exposing for the sole purpose of comprehension was the flaw.

She was supposed to expose herself to achieve...everything.

Her body, her mind, her spirit, her will, her intent. She must refine them as though she were bathing in the flas of a cosmic furnace.

Nirvana, so would call it.

She shed the mortal part of her away and allowed the immortal body and mind to grow from where the mortal parts once were.

She was trying to comprehend, but she didn’t know.

She was supposed to be engaging in the most extre of extres, forcing her body to break past every single limit at once.

Extre exposure.

Nirvana.

The shedding.

All of it.

Was this why there were very few ordinary immortals among ordinary creatures?

Were they not doing it the right way?

What was the right way?

To aggressively re-establish the basis for their existence with the most extre thods.

mphis was grinding herself under the pressure of such imnse ti friction, a fire lion might have to do sothing different but equally extre.

A space lion might have to dive into spatial storms, cracks, or black holes.

Other creatures with different powers would have to do so extre things and expose themselves to the raw power of the universe the way it was.

But, this thod has a higher chance of fatality. The chances of success were so low that it was negligible as they were more likely to die than actually reach the immortal tier.

Alas, this was the right way.

One could only imagine what so like Ibadon who was not a Primordial had done to reach his level.

It was scary to think about.

So now, mphis had received her epiphany on what to do.

She should not be crying and whining about how close she was to death.

The closer she was to breaking down the essence of her existence and allowing Ti to do what it wanted, the closer she would be to a true immortal.

How wonderful it would be if she could step out of this ti machine, not as a tier 7 entity, but as a legitimate Immortal.

mphis pushed on. She was going to go as far as she could, not because she wanted to please Kael, but because she was tired of being tier 7.

Strangely, the concept of ti within an active ti machine was skewed. Neither of them couldn’t tell if it was in an instant or thousands of years that passed by, but they finally reached two million years into the past.

Through mphis’s eyes, it was now that Kael could see so scenes that interested him.

This was an era that was closest to the Great War. There were a few tier 7 entities in this era and most of the lost Heavenly Beacons were still lost.

This era for the Lions was purely focused on rebuilding what was lost and recovering their strengths. Through the flashing scenes in the streaming flow of ti, Kael could see that the lions didn’t spend that much effort in conquering other races as they were still busy working on themselves.

Just one million years left. That was all Kael needed.

Unfortunately, this ti, mphis was truly at the limit.

Even under the influence of the Conqueror’s Mode Avatar, with the power of a low-level immortal, she could not carry on.

Her eyes were clouded, her hair was turning white, and her skin was full of wrinkles. But her face was an expression of inner peace.

It had begun, she could feel it. The transformation. She was like a caterpillar that was finally about to begin the process of turning into a butterfly.

It felt so painful, yet it also felt so magical.

She was dying, yes. But her life force was burning brighter than ever.

Could it be?

Was she finally getting what she wanted?

However,

"More!" Kael demanded.

A contract paper appeared in front of him. It was a Consort Contract, the sa kind that he had given his other consorts.

Kael waved his hand quickly and the contract paper flew toward mphis’s face.

The contents of the paper were read by mphis and she didn’t know what to say.

Kael wasn’t offering her the contract so that she could actually beco his consort, what he wanted was her power over ti.

The contract stated that for the duration of the ti travel, she would be bound to Kael’s contract and that Kael would receive her power.

For what?

"We can go so much further, why give up at this point?" Kael said, his voice magnetic and seductive.

This was a deceptively manipulative truck as he knew that mphis was not thinking properly.

His spirit was still linked to her mind and he could read her surface thoughts, he knew the right thing to say to be persuasive.

There was also a clause of the contract that allowed for the contract to be altered after the duration of the ti travel.

mphis looked at the contract in front of her. She wasn’t thinking of being Kael’s Consort though, she was thinking of what she could achieve if Kael actually joined in with his own powers to help her.

Her chances of success would be solidified and Kael would also get what he wanted.

Absent-mindedly, she signed the contract.

Instantly, another pool of Conquering Essence ford within her.

A shockwave burst out of Kael’s body as his eyes glowed gold.

As soon as he confird the new ti power pool inside him, he instantly activated Conqueror’s Mode for himself.

His aura rose and the flow of ti around him began to distort.

From tier 6, he rose to tier 7.

Kael made sure to suppress the overflowing might of the laws that he contained within him. If they were allowed to flow freely, the result would be him transforming into that eldritch entity that had appeared in front of Emperor Zain.

Kael’s body burned bright. It had been long since he maintained the Conqueror’s Mode in his humanoid state. There was once a ti when he was still unskillful with its use, causing him to burn up whenever he used the Conqueror’s Mode in his humanoid form.

Now, it was natural.

With Kael’s eyes glowing brightly and illuminating the interior of the ti machine, Kael channeled all the new power of ti that he just gotten to mphis.

He didn’t know how to use the power of ti and there was no ti to learn how to use ti, so he transferred it to her.

All he simply did was wrap her in his own golden-hued flow of ti. mphis had to tap into the flow and continue what she was doing.

The burden of eons was still resting on the bodies of both of them and ti friction was starting to affect Kael too.

But they could now go a bit further.

And so, they did.

Two million five hundred thousand years.

They shot into the past

Two million seven hundred thousand years into the past.

Two million nine hundred thousand years into the past.

*CRACK!*

The sound of bones breaking was heard from mphis’s body. Her eyes had turned completely grey and it looked like she would be fading out of existence at any mont.

And then.

"STOP!" Kael demanded, "We’re here."
